That’s just bad journalism. I’d like to know because I cross the path of many immigrants and care about them. If the federal government’s economic plans work out, there could be more demand for workers in the coming year, especially in and around Montreal - I also pay attention to announcements of companies setting up or expanding here - and this might be another example of the CAQ shooting themselves in the foot again. They seem oblivious that an election is coming next fall.

To begin .... stop Refugees from India, Africa, Haiti, Pakistan, and many other countries. Scrutinize them properly, select legit refugees, right now, a lot of bogus claims have been entered, for god forsaken reasons, highest refugee claims are from Africans countries and south America and Islamist countries. You gotta scrutiny these people, find out if there is legitimacy, find out if there is a value in accepting their claim, find out if they have skills or they are just entering for free loads! my point is , Good Immigrations is Welcome.....Bad Immigration is NOT !

Dude saying he’s not a number. He’s a literally a number to the ministry. Everyone is a number. No one owes anyone anything. The majority of Canadians are asking for a cut to immigration. I for one celebrate that governments are doing what the majority wants instead of catering to the few. If it didn’t work out, that’s too bad.

The problem I saw about Indian immigrants is that they brought the bad side of their culture like dumping garbage anywhere. Don't get me wrong, Canadians do that too but the scale of disregarding rules and essentially laws in Canada is appalling. I saw a video of them literally shitting in beaches. I applaud those who are still promoting the good side in Indian culture like helping the needy and treating everyone as human beings regardless of your race, religion and origin.

Immigrants r some of the hardest working people I know. They came to this country to work and give a better life to their families they have so much bravery and courage all I have for them is respect and admiration. Of course there r going to be bad apples but that’s not the majority

As an indian, I feel sad to see that this is Canada, nobody would want anyone's country to change like this. pls deport most of them, they can't even speak English. Only allow highly educated, skilled people; race doesn't matter, even that nurse guy should be deported. I lived in Canada for 11 years, 2008 - 2019, went to university and worked in Toronto. I come from an upper-middle class family in China, went to a top university in Canada, landed good jobs and I speak English like a native. I got my PR in 2015 and I remember the painful uphill battle I had to go through just get that. All the bureaucracy, redtape, unnecessarily rigid rules, high cost and long wait I received from CIC/IRCC felt like a humiliation to me. Every document was scrutinized and every step had obstacle that fealt unreasonable (my TOEFL examiner ask me why I had to do the language test required by CIC, and I had to visit a notary to validate my Chinese national ID card). It felt uneasy but I understood that these were the rules that everyone had to go through, and moving and integrating into a new society was never meant to be easy. I went back to Canada in 2021 and 2024, and it was evident that the country I once called home had gone down the hill. The streets were screaming crime, unemployment, inflation, drug and filth, it's total social rot. As someone who went through the whole immigration process (and many of my friends who went through the same have left Canada for good, like myself), I attribute much of this to failed immigration policy. I cannot help but feel confused, angry, betrayed and humiliated when I look at the recent immigration policies of Canada and their results, and compare with what I had to go through. The feeling sums up to: Canada penalizes the hard-working and law-abiding people, and rewards the undeserved and the cheaters. Example: when the US creates wars in the Middle East, why does CANADA bear the cost of bringing in refugees? I never regretted moving back to China and East Asia, and I feel bad for those who still truly think of Canada as home, as I am one myself. When the leadership of a country deviates from pragmatism, reason and common sense, and instead embraces idealogies, hypocrisy and political optics, this is what happens. The prices are paid by everyone, immigrant or not. For this, Trudeau deserves a court trial for his incompetence and dereliction of duty; and the people of Canada need some honest and serious retrospection. I will share some words of wisdom by the late Lee Kwan Yew: “Whoever governs Singapore (LKY was the PM and founding father of Singapore) must have that iron in him. Or give it up. This is not a game of cards, this is your life and mine. I've spent a whole lifetime building this and as long as I'm in charge, nobody is going to knock it down.” I hope the clownish weakling politicians in Canada (and, in much of the western world nowadays) can be enlightened a little bit.

Canada calls students to give them PGWP after finishing their educations in Canada. The students pay ultra high education and life expenses. Then, Canada says we don’t need this much skilled worker as white collar, but you can works as uber drivers or Tim Hortons workers. The reason is Canadian youths don’t want to work in those odd jobs. However, Canadian people complain about the immigrant odd workers. They think economy is bad because of those immigrants who paid thousands of dollars for education and have been working in odd jobs. This is stupidity. Canada government exploits immigrant students by making them spend thousands for education and can only provide odd jobs for most of the immigrant students who hold PGWP work visa. Then some almost-racist Canadian folks stand against immigrants who have actually been exploited.

When you have just one community in one geographic area you have ghettoization. Which brings a fleet of issues good and bad. Most cases in the immigrant experience it’s the next generation that truly settles in. I’m a first generation immigrant came when I was 8 years old. Immigrants have it much easier then my parents did when they came. The country needs to grow, in order to grow the economy, you need skilled and unskilled workers, aging population the best way is immigration, it’s simple math.

as a refugee myself from Afghanistan, I know a lot of fellow refugees and immigrant who works for cash, abuses the system, don't pay taxes, if they are manager-they hire only immigrants and people they know, they think this way they will have a better life in Canada, but in reality they are fucking the economy and not thinking about its consequences in the long term. I assume most of them will wait no minute to go back to their home country once the economy in Canada crumbles. I feel really bad about this kind of behaviours and I feel ashamed.

Do your job while issuing visas. Don't give visas to just anyone. It makes genuine students and good immigrants look bad.

Finally, the government is trying to correct the underlying issue related to foreign students and the colleges involvement. All the colleges recruiting international students should adhere to strict rules and regulations . They should not ignore students' bad behaviors and false credentials in order to obtain a student permit in Canada. Also, Canada Immigration also needs to scrutinize both students and colleagues

Funny how everyone screams about immigrants and Indians ‘ruining Brampton,’ but no one bats an eye when billions of OUR tax dollars are shipped to Ukraine. If old immigrants are seeing an issue of offsetting the harmony that's our multiculturalism, including old Canadians and original Native Canadians. By the mass immigration policies, bringing/favouring from one country. Then you know there's a problem. The end was great. So ironic because I remember the days when my fellow Canadians were mad at the influx of well behaved, tax paying, money spending Chinese immigrants around 10-15 yrs ago. Sure they bought up a lot of real estate and contributed to the raising property values, but many of the Canadians benefited from that selling their property for amounts they never even imagined and they created a small economic boom in the GTHA. Accountability should fall on the Government of Canada. They stopped screening properly. There used to be a point system that determined who could immigrate, and it actually worked. I’m of Pakistani descent, born and raised here, and when I’m in Brampton and walk into a Circle K, people start speaking to me in Hindi or Punjabi right away — it’s a trip. At the same time, I’m not saying everyone coming is bad. A lot of international students and new immigrants are hardworking people who want to build a better life. But plenty are also gaming the system. The real issue is that Canada messed up by letting in too many at once, with no structure to help them assimilate. When there’s no integration, no surprise people just act like they’re back home.

I don’t know how to feel about this. In my head I know without immigration the population will go down and that’s bad for economy. I know that diversity is good and we should embrace people from all backgrounds. Yet, something feels vastly wrong with what is going on in Brampton. And I feel guilty for feeling that way because I didn’t feel like that when I went to Woodbridge when it was all Italian or Richmond Hill when it was all Hongkong Chinese.

I can't tell if half of these comments are watching the same video as me. I understand there are issues with Canada's current immigration policies and certainly, purely by numbers, there are a lot of immigrants moving to Canada, but I'm genuinely convinced the people in the comments watched the first half of the video and then turned it off. So many weird comments, ranging from "they're bad drivers!" to "I moved away from Brampton because of this problem" (what problem?? Indian people??). In the second half of the video, all three of the religious buildings they entered had extremely kind-hearted people, with free food for ANYONE to enjoy. Again I understand things aren't perfect, but it would seem a lot of people are using "immigration policies are allowing immigrants in too fast" to justify their hatred of Indian people.

There’s good and bad in EVERY culture. The guy with the reverse ball cap is white trash but he talks about immigrants. I’d rather have South Asians here that are good people anyday vs him. At least they’ll work for minimum wage vs the homeless druggies who choose to be on the streets.

I am surprised that the people who came as an immigrants a long time ago built everything and now they are saying bad about the new immigrants such as students who are working hard, they have new set of skills, more advanced in terms of everything. The conclusion is that old immigrants thinks that they own everything and they have the only rights.

And Brampton is known as the capital of truck licenses without the proper test. The TV show Marketplace exposed that situation a few years ago. I'm new to Canada, but one thing about people from India is that if they have the opportunity to skip or cheat on a test, they take it. I know this firsthand. Another important fact is the population of India; they are around 1,300 millons people, but only 1% of those people can collapse the immigration system of a country, in this case, Canada. And Canada allowed it. Last but not least, I don't know if deodorant is forbidden in India, but they smell really bad.

I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

Simple fact, Canada is in a bad economic shape, and the frustration is being taken out on a race. Scapegoating is human nature. And hypocrisy of the older immigrants is at its finest.

Immigrants also brought money alot of money. I came 3 years ago, I have friends from different countries. N when ever they speak with their country people they speak in their native tongue. Not all immigrants r bad, its govenment issue not people. Dont blame my people, they put application paid fee and also paid GIC of 20K plus college fee of 20k+. I know some people can be bad, thats where government should make law implementation better. Plus, no immigrant expected the job crisis tht exist, so whatever job to atleast save some amount rather than hitting the savings, we take. I have adapted the culture, I live my life peacefully without bothering anyone. If there's any religious activity, govt should contact groups and work out ways to celebrate festivals. I have culture from birth country in addition I added Canadian culture. The blend is good, and can be attained if govt make proper planning.

The reason why we are fed up of these immigrants is because they bring their bad manners and bad behaviour with them in Canada

As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? This will fracture Canada if everyone does that. Do you want this country to become so fractured & terrible that your descendants have to leave for a better country, like you did? Is that what your religion teaches you? Does it state it's perfectly fine to satisfy all your whims & wishes at the expense of others? Are you striving for Canadians to think badly of your race/culture? Are you being a good ambassador to your race/community/culture/religion? Canadians are so friendly & helpful, if you need help, just ask, please don't demand. Learn the language & it's ok to speak broken/pigeon English with gestures to communicate. No one expects you to be an English scholar; you gain respect for trying. Apply some basic Canadians manners, which goes a long way... Please & Thank You, Smile doesn't cost you anything, besides it's good exercise for your facial muscles. I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!! We should lobby for a mandatory course that all newcomers have to take & PASS a test about Canadian culture & expectations. If they fail, no citizenship for sure! Both Poland and Hungary have said enough. Now the EU is calling them racists. It’s all Indian or Muslim immigration. France just issued a memo to hospitals to get ready for military mass casualties that will start within 12 months from now. You can go to any city or town in Canada now. It’s hard to find a Canadian working. In Canada we have foreign workers programs that allows businesses to hire foreigners and the liberal federal govt pays 1/3 of these foreigners salaries. So of course any business like retail or restaurant’s biggest overhead is labour costs so if they can save like $6.00 an hour on every employee why wouldn’t they opt in for that. I also did a very deep dive into the voters in Canada. At least 4.5 million out of the 8.5 million voted the Carney liberals got in April 2025 were immigrant votes. That’s why Carney and liberals pander to the gigantic Muslim population in Canada. Muslims, Chinese, Indians from India, Ukrainians, Filipinos they all pretty much vote liberal. There weee over 100 Muslim groups that told their Muslim community to only vote for candidates that support Gaza Muslims and Palestinians. How is that not election interference. We know the Chinese directly interfere in our elections by threatening Chinese Canadians to vote liberal or their families in China will be harmed or they will be harmed inside Canada. In June Carney said Muslim values are Canadian values. Either this clown has no idea how radical Islam is or he knows and just panders for votes. Liberal cabinet ministers Anita Anand and Melanie Joly they both openly campaigned saying they must support Palestine because they both have large Muslim populations in their respective ridings. Over half of the liberal voter base is foreign now. I started in 2019 telling the federal conservatives look the liberals are importing new liberal voters. The party needs a strategy to win over the immigrant vote. I proposed hiring a team of individuals from the Muslim community, Chinese community etc to brainstorm on how to get their message across that if your an immigrant your best to vote conservative because the liberals don’t care about them they just want their vote. Show them how they may never own a home, how their kids will be worse off than them. That buy bringing in about 2 million more immigrants a year it is causing inflation and the affordability crisis. I believe if you can show these immigrant communities the truth they may consider voting conservative. Bit of the conservatives refuse to pivot we will never see another federal conservative govt in our lifetimes. It’s not racist it’s the truth. We need a foreign registry act to kick out foreign entities that harass bully and threaten immigrants in Canada to bend the knee or else. If we have 100 Islamic groups telling their community it’s yo only vote one way charge them with election interference. We need electoral reform badly in Canada. We need to end all immigration to Canada for at least 5 years maybe even 10. We need to deport those here illegally. No more fake asylum claims. This country can still be saved but we need immigrants on board to help save it. We need to remove broadcasting licenses of mainstream media networks that lie and bash conservatives. That’s deliberate political interference. It’s time we enforce the law. No more hate speech or hate crimes against any community especially the Jews. Deport these ppl back to Gaza if they are here on visas or revoke their citizenship and send them packing. We need ICE in Canada like they have in America. It’s long over due. If we get a hold of our borders and we stop the drugs we would have a new trade deal with Trump tomorrow. The bad behaviors doesn't only come from the immigrants. There's white people do too have a very bad behaviors and a bad attitude. Don't judge the new immigrants.

I'm an immigrant who came here when i was almost 2 yrs old with my single mother who worked 3 jobs to support me.We're here for 45 yrs.I'm a proud Canadian and agree 💯 with Canadians.Why do we have to accept others religions while they dont have to..How is saying Merry Christmas now a bad thing to say or God Bless..They should leave their religion and culture behind their door and be proud and appreciate Canada let them in ..We need them to adapt to our Culture or go back to their country

While the end result is the actual "immigrant", you can tell these new immigrants all day and night to go back to their country... The immigrant themselves will be looking at you like... Huh? Why? Not understanding why people say that to them. Folks, the Trudeau/Carney Gov was the problem all along. Furthermore the campaigns they would have in other countries to literally sell the idea for them to apply to become an immigrant in Canada. The libs are 100% responsible for what is happening now... For me to tell an immigrant, the he/she is not wanted here is not relevant... The government sold them the pitch to come here for a better life.... Trudeau allowed other loopholes to happen too.... Migrants through applying to colleges and universities, migrants through the liberal foreign work program and the list goes on. Now we have a problem and everyone sees it.... The question is what do we do as Canadians... I exercised my vote for blue...but we still had a majority of liberal supporters which was not just surprising but it seemed that people think Conservatives are bad people who are racist and want to follow trumps steps... i begged to differ.... I think what many of us are aiming for is a cleaning up of liberal policies... And stop immigration from ALL PLACES. Allow Canada to re-coop, reestablish and redevelop what it always was.

As a Canadian, I am so sick and tired of being told that i have this bullshit nonsense, non-existent " white privilege," which is a load of shit. I am terrified for my little girl when it is time for her to get a job because my little girl and I are white, so we are put at the bottom of the list for being employed. And on top of that i am expected to bow down and not have a voice or an opinion about anything when it comes to immigrants and that because my daughter and i are white so we are automatically considered to be racists colonizers and forced to pay the price of something that happened long before i was even born and had nothing to do with just because the color of my skin . God gave us all our skin color and made us all . I had no say with being born with the color of my skin. Canadians of all colors and cultures are suffering so badly because we brought in so many immigrants who demand we change everything and pretty much bow down to them and told that we all have to change . Stop trying to change Canada and the Candian people . I refuse to bow down to anyone who tells me that i dont matter, and my opinion doesn't matter because of my skin color and because i am assumed to have bs white privilege. The only people i see having all of the privileges are the immigrants coming in trying to force us to bow down to them while starting protests to change Canada . I will fight against these immigrants who are trying to force Canada to change to their ways, which won't ever happen . If you want to change Canada to your way of life and culture, then just stay in your own damn country . We need to get rid of these protesting immigrants who do this crazy shit . It's pretty pathetic and sickening that Canada lost it's back bone and allowed angry immigrants to come in here and take over everything and try to change the country and laws and treat the Canadian people as if we are less than them which is sickening. As far as i am concerned, any immigrant that came here that are fighting and protesting against Canada to change Canada to how they want Canada to be while treating all Canadian people as second class citizens plus destroying the country and destroying nature while breaking laws and demanding that all Canadians give in to their demands need to be kicked out of Canada and never be allowed to return . It will be a cold day in hell before i bow down to any of them who try to destroy my country and tell me that i am white so i need to be silenced because i am white and a colonizer so i dont matter . And white people have a hard time finding work . My daughter is sick, and so am i, so when it takes 2 years to see a gynecologist or take 6 weeks to see a doctor, it is insane. This situation is so bad for all Canadians that we need to grow a pair of balls and take back Canada and stop sending our money to other countries and stop allowing immigrant terrorists destroying the Canadian people and Canada and it's nature . If Canada doesn't start to fight back, we will all be screwed even more in the very near future . CANADA NEEDS TO GROW A PAIR OF BALLS AND PUT AN END TO THE GOVERNMENT BS AND TO STOP THESE IMMIGRANT TERRORISTS AND CLOSE OUR BOARDERS AND STOP SENDING MONEY TO OTHER COUNTRIES AND DEPORT ANY IMMIGRANTS WHO TAKES PART IN TERRORISTS ACTS AND BREAKS THE LAWS . And it kills me to say this because i love my country, but if Canadians are not going to stand together as one and take back our country and our lives and fight for change now then we might as well become Americas 51st state because we lost our Canadian pride . And it shows that Canadians don't care about Canada anymore . 💔
