This is ridiculous. The majority of the homeless are homeless because they don't want to work the jobs. As a greenhouse manager, the local people don't want to work the jobs that the foreign workers work which is why we are required to bring them in in the first place. I have had many local workers try working in the greenhouse only to quit within weeks because they couldn't handle the work or even the heat that is required. So how are we supposed to depend on local people to do the work? The would be a worker turnover every 3 - 6 weeks. With this program we can bring in people who WANT to do the work because its a better opportunity for them than what they have back home. This is NOT the way to fix the homeless problem. High rent, high taxes and high economic standards are the cause of eat. People cant AFFORD to buy food, pay for living costs and even survive in todays society. This foreign worker programs ALLOWS us to get the work done. \n\nForeign workers brought in on the SAWP program or even low skill program aren't stealing job, they are doing the work that Canadians don't WANT to do as they can't handle it or even believe it's beneath them. Todays youth will never do the work that these people do for us. I respect the work that they do. I would love ANYBODY in the comments below to come to my farm in the middle of summer and spend 8 - 10 hours under the sun for a week and then see what their opinion is.

Canadian people are enjoying Indian food, when I came to Canada there were no Indian food stores or restaurants, things have changed now there are more places to eat in and stores to buy Indian foods ,, I come from Meghalaya and my upbringing was very different than the other parts of India but I don’t see how Indians are being nasty

Im moving out of germany, one of the main reasons are, besides taxes and language, etc that people complain about:\n\n1. Worst food in the world, if you don’t eat fast food you will starve, I need to cook my own meals every single day because there is absolutely nothing decent to eat. Only things I can eat here are schnizel and sushi. \n\n2. Unless you come from a rich white country (USA, Australia, Canada, Japan…) you are not allowed to drive unless you do the test etc again even though as a tourist you can drive. Because life is hard in Canada...poor pay, no jobs, having 3-4 jobs but still cant meet one's basic needs, can't afford housing/can't pay rent, living at food banks in order to get basic food to eat, too many coming to live on welfare.... All of this is cause major mental health issues.

I live in Quebec and love winter, but I do sometimes dream of living somewhere like Hawaii or California where I could eat ripe avocados and grow so much food all year round. I could build a tiny home (less regulations - so much red tape here - and cheaper bc less need of insulation and heating) and go swimming every day. This is pretty idealistic though, and could probably do these things in non-american countries. Would I consider moving to the United States? Sure I would consider it. Would I though? Probably not. Why? Similar reasons to many folks in this country:\n- lack of women's rights (still growth to do here too)\n- lgbtqia+ discrimination (here as well, but definitely to a lesser extent)\n- racism (we have this here too though... just maybe less nazis?)\n- guns (this terrifies me... anyone I know who has a gun here has it only for hunting and it's locked up in a gun case, which I think is required, when not in use)\n- healthcare (though I'm not in love with our system... I'm currently on a huge waiting list for an mri, the waiting lists to get a doctor are obscene, and can't access dental or mental health support... some of our hospitals are in such poor shape...)\n- politics and MAGA (terrifying that so many people think like that... though our political parties are pretty fucked up too... just not to the same extent)\n- school systems that teach kids the world is as old as the Bible says\n- police and prison industrial complex (seems less personal and terrifying from the outside)

As a born and raided Canadian I'm sick of this. I have 3 jobs, none of which have hours for me in my professional field, my bosses are hiring on foreign workers to do the work i can do. Our public spaces are overrun by people who stick together and refuse to acknowledge our culture, and have no plans of assimilation. I am 26 years old, educated, out of work, damn near broke, the thought of owning a home seems damn near impossible here in british columbia. I am drowning in bills for my vehicle, rent, gas, groceries and tax all of which are through the roof. Enough is enough when will our government take care of their own rather than bringing in foreigners and tending to them as if they're the top priority. We have a drug epidemic and our streets are full of Canadian people who are dying and openly doing the worlds most lethal substances in public spaces. Canada is the most beautiful country in the world that’s its usp , again we Indians can learn something from Canada is the way they preserved their nature that is remarkable that gives them good oxygen rich air , water and hygiene that Indian people are far away or never witnessed in their life. We don’t have any greenery in our country we really need to work on improving that but neither the people nor the government is interested in making good changes or even have such idea in head ! Along with that Canada has strong tax system you really get tax return as well as strong labour protection act that guards its resident from exploitation and employees can sue the employer if exploitation is provable on table with facts. India doesn’t have any strong labour protection body this results even in corporate jobs you have to work more than 8 hours and no OT , plus Canada has EI (employment insurance) so that means is , if you loose your job for any reason you will get government assistance to help to pay your bills till you find your next job. Plus disability benefits , food banks , freedom to live your life the way you want, you can eat what you want, religion based stupidity doesn’t exist in that country. So yes it’s true I don’t like the Canadian PM either but overall Canada is really good country and we Indians can learn atleast some good things they carry and adapt to our country and make India bit better place to live. The moment some says truth we Indians start bashing and may say go to Canada but we don’t realize our own problems and don’t wanna work.

I'm a born and raised Canadian, and jobs that I was previously able to live off of 2 years ago I am now on the brink of homelessness every single month of rent. Working those same jobs everyday in the lowest rent apartment I can find. I do 10 hour shifts most days retail and spending more than 50 dollars a month on food bounces my rent and negatives my account which makes me pay more fees on top of it. I cant afford a car, or anything for transportation. The wage I'm making now was the perfect amount for me 2 years ago to live comfortably by my standards. Now I'm going to be a homeless 24 year old Canadian that works their ass off every day and can't seem to find a better paying job regardless of how much I put myself out there... In the last 2 months I have lost a total of 16lbs because I can only eat so much on my budget. I am a hard working Canadian that just wants the luxury of being able to not stress about these things because I work so hard. But that seems to not matter.

Im Bangladeshi-American, born in America. My parents were immigrants. I dont understand how its anyone's concern what language people speak with family and friends or if someone does not know English. In a free country, you can speak whatever language you want, wear your cultural clothing, and eat your culture's food. why does one need to adapt to the local area? The law doesnt oblige them... Also, these indians came legally no? In a democratic Canada that let them in... people voted for this directly or indirectly. Also, to your point, its the whites that are homeless and on drugs, how are indians to blame for white failure in Brampton? Indians have strong work and study ethic, so you should welcome that. Itll help your nation progress. These people are just racist. They dont want non-whites to become a majority. Thats all it comes down to.

Our grocery cabal ruthlessly raise prices whenever we look away, and their lobbyists are all ensconced within the leadership of our three major parties, particularly the Conservatives (so if anyone thinks that electing them will help, they're in for a nasty surprise).\n\n3. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. The wealthy upper crust of high population countries are moving here and buying property because Canada is (still) more safe and stable and less repressive than their home countries in most cases. \n\n5. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

Once I saw a white man taking out some food from the garbage can outside an Indian restaurant in Brampton . I was so shocked to see that. I gave $20 to my son to give it to that man so that he can eat something.

Although México isn't the greatest country, the part where i live (Near the center) is fairly safe, I've never been robbed or been involved in some cartel shit that you've heard of Mexico everyday (I'm 25 yo). The opportunity aren't the best either but aren't so bad...\nI mean, I've just finished the bachelor degree two years ago, I'm planning to buy a house with my girlfriend and making quick math we calculate it would take us about 3 - 4 years to save enough to buy one (Earning like 1200 USD monthly) taking in consideration that you can give yourself certain luxury's like hitting the road every weekend in motorcycle, visiting some places along the way, eating good food and stuff, with out sacrificing the rent or any basic necessities, then you remain with enough money for any emergency or urgent thing that comes out later.\nWatching this video makes me feel lucky of been here in Mexico even it isn't a very stable county i could say that the quality of life is fair enough (At least in the part where I am).\nSorry for you Canadian people... Most of what was reported here is true but the housing market and rents have skyrocketed all over the world since the Chinese government F'd everyone with Covid-19. At first there were supply chain issues with all goods so businesses said we have to increase prices. Once supply issues were back to pre-Covid-19 levels businesses did not & will not lower their prices on goods because , we as a society do not take matters into our own hands and boycott products\\company's etc. Now obviously we cannot boycott all goods & services but the majority we could and that is the only thing that would cause action among companies to lower bank fees, fast food prices, grocery prices, cell plan costs etc.\n\nWith that said, you picked two of the highest and most sought after city's in CAN to rent & or try to buy a home. Although rent & home prices have really jumped all over the world in the past 3-4 years, more affordable (still not cheap) housing, compared to Toronto, Vancouver, can be found all across CAN. My sister & brother in law found an apartment to rent in Winnipeg without any difficulty or waiting. \nThey are immigrants and entered on her student Visa & he is a computer programmer. They are not struggling to eat but they have to follow a tight budget since she cannot work but 20 hours a week as a student and they have 1 kid, a car payment,utilities, cell plan, etc. They have filed for their PR and I suspect they will be approved since his job is in demand and she will graduate from College there in 4 months or so.\n\nOne thing I noticed, when my wife & I went up to get them settled in, is that the government (national & local) taxes you all pay out of the wazzoo on everything! I think the only thing that wasn't taxed was air. ? I know most of this is due to the healthcare system, because the money has to come from somewhere. Don't misunderstand, I like the CAN healthcare system better than the US's, because the insurance companies stick it to us as well, but both have their pluses and minuses.\n\nCAN does have a much easier system for immigration. If my sister & bro in law could have come here we would have been glad for them to stay with us and help them get started but the backlog is just so long to wait (10 + years).
