Left Canada when I was 16 and never wish to return. About the media Canada's media and American media has been owned and corrupt by most of the same people. You really never got to know US, though they have their troubles. For example, the same as Canada, they return to voting for the most corrupt of politicians and those who wish to ruin North America. Were you better off 3.5 years ago or now is the most simple question that should be asked of everyone. Politicians are giving ILLEGALS free food, clothes, phones & housing off our backs while we struggle to stay off the streets ourselves.

There are so many ultra rich people in North America that they are together influencing and corrupting the policy makers and politicians to make land secure for their own children rather than people outside their family links. I am a Canadian exasperated with the wait times for medical care here. There is a lot of prejudice in Canada against America. Our politicians are ruining our economy and many Canadians are more interested in sensationalism about American politics than they are about problems here. Everyone living in peace and safety can afford to criticise others. But Canada was safer, friendlier and more economically responsible in the past. There are unsafe neighbourhoods here, too. There is poverty here, too. Those who don't see deterioration are not looking closely. We battle the same demons as any people group and are just as vulnerable to calamity as our American neighbours. I don't want to leave my country. The people I love are here. The rising cost of living gives me fears about future homelessness. I grew up as a patriotic Canadian and believed America was our friend. We thought maybe Americans were more prone to bragging while Canadians were more modest. My nearest city used to be vibrant and friendly and now it is colder, more dangerous and there is visible ruin from addiction.

I'm Canadian, and so very glad that I was born here. Canada has an excellent health care system, top notch education cirrulum; when I watch the American news I shudder - with the current political climate and gun violence I am so glad to be Canadian. You could not pay me enough to even consider moving to the US. I disagree with your statement that you could raise children in America, children should not have to wear a flack jacket or Kevlar when going to school - especially considering the poor education system in the US. Tyler, re health care: America spends twice per capita what Canada spends on health care. As best I know, it's because we have universal care under ONE administration provider, whereas in the USA there are THOUSANDS of plans, and administration eats up the majority of the health care dollars ? \nUS politicians have done a great job of convincing its citizens that universal health care is socialism, and that's BAD ?

Until you experience the horrors they have gone through don’t throw stones in glass houses the immigration system has been broken for years if people waited until it’s their time no one would realistically get through since there is a 20 year backlog and children who were brought here 20 years ago have been thrown out because they themselves were still not approved a decade or more later. Part of the issue is red state lax gun laws allowing cartels easy access to heavy machinery that can be taken back across the border. Do you really think corruption isn’t running all the way to the top and that the American government has not helped worsen the issues when any of these countries want control of their own fossil fuel. Consider how many rich people get to jump in line or border patrol on both sides being able to keep out legal crossings if you can’t pay their fees. If you fight the cartel military or government you will find yourself dead imprisoned and or tortured and if they are fleeing to save their family and willing to leave their whole life behind to go to a country whose language they don’t speak do you really think they can walk all the way to the border wait in a single file line hope they can request asylum and then wait 40 years to maybe get a call back for a hearing these ppl are forced into a rock and a hard place and for the majority of American politics most politicians have no interest on really figuring out a comprehensive and compassionate system to help get immigrants out of dangerous situations America barely cares about it’s homeless citizens veterans mentally or physically Ill every country is having serious issues because often leaders are really only looking out for themselves

As an older person who migrated decades ago after protesting in my old country, I encourage young people below 45 to FIGHT for your countries. Fight bad goverments. 7 billion people on the planet cannot move to the few western countries that seem to work and appear attractive on the surface, it’s not possible. The taxpayers in those countries are feeling it. Look at the folks sleeping on the floor in NY! You really aren’t allowed to interact with patients and provide personalized service. A pharmacist has to fill anything between 200 to 350 prescriptions, give a certain number of immunizations and see a certain No of patients per day. There is no time for niceties! A corporate professional May work remotely but has to deliver on so many projects he is up till 10pm and only gets up to eat. We have beautiful homes, drive nice cars etc but MUST work like the clock in an assembly line fashion! Most of us pay so much of our income as taxes we end up with less than 70% as paychecks! Things aren’t always what they seem!

I vacationed in the US often in the 70s and 80s. The scenery in the west is wonderful, New York and Washington DC are very dynamic and people are generally friendly. BUT things turned very nasty after 9/11. The bogus war in Iraq and the 20 year stay in Afghanistan changed everything. The MAGA crowd of haters, gun crazies, religious fanatics and the politicians who cater to them have made the country intolerable. Any advantages America may have are vastly outweighted by the negatives that are part of everyday life. Every school child has regular shooter on the loose drills routinely. This video is a joke with an agenda. If America let in people as easily as Canada did and in the same proportion to its population could it not end up having the same housing crisis? We are not a very introspective country. Not that it ever makes the news but Mexico is home to 1.6 million Americans that are legally there and anther .5 to 1 million living in Mexico illegally. This act kept most of Central America’s governments weak and destabilized. We destabilized El Salvador all through the 70s and 80s. We destabilized Venezuela when our politics ran counter to theirs. Sad reality is these people are better dressed and look more healthy than 90% of Us citizens. These are definitely not all people that are in fear for their lives. They clearly have had food and water and some kind of life. What about our citizens in violent cities? Especially the ones who have no food, shelter, family, nothing to keep them away from violent people... Where can an American go for asylum? Where can we find refuge from our corrupt politicians? From the mentally illand violent? Its even worse thinking that these people will get treated better than those who have fought for this country. Risking life and limb to protect freedom. I think freedom in America was always an illusion. We were always being manipulated and controlled. Its just before it was less in our face. They don't care to hide what they are doing anymore.
