In the case of high treason, i.e. treason against the interests of the people of the country. Who came to power? A man who thinks not about the interests of the US people, but about the interests of a handful of billionaires, including political circles in Russia and China. The war against Ukraine is just the tip of the iceberg of the war of the ruling dictatorships of the Russian Federation and China against the poor strata of the people of their own countries, against Western civilization and the US and the EU as a part of it. This is clearly seen in the propaganda against human rights and freedoms in these countries, the destruction of trust between people. What to do in this case? Wait until the US as one of the foundations of modern civilization is destroyed by short-sighted supporters of anarchy, monarchies and psychopathic dictators who do not respect other people's borders and treaties? Doesn't Trump's actions contradict the basic principles of the US and Western civilization? The United States is a country of democracy, humanism, human rights and freedoms, a country that has become home to the world of many people who have improved the quality of life of billions of people all over the planet. Question: When will the current US President/poppet of dictatorships be impeached?

Not even the Canadians care what this clown says. They absolutely HATE him. Furthermore, Canada already taxes US goods at upwards of 350% in some cases. The time for taking advantage of America is over. EVERY American should be happy about that. The people in these comments supporting this tool are ignorant fools.

It's not at all surprising. Republicans only impose laws and policies that hurt their people, supporting only the rich and wealthy. Never the many. This will likely only hurt republicans attempting to get elected in this country moving forward. Unless they try to take our democracy away. In which case we will be forced to eat the rich to feed the poor.

Canada already had tariffs on certain U.S. goods before the recent trade disputes escalated in 2025. Historically, Canada has maintained tariffs on various American products to protect its domestic industries, particularly in sectors like agriculture and manufacturing. For example, under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (USMCA), which replaced NAFTA and was signed during Donald Trump’s first term, trade between the U.S. and Canada is largely tariff-free for many goods. However, Canada has long imposed high tariffs on specific U.S. products outside of these agreements, such as dairy, poultry, and eggs, under its supply management system. These tariffs can reach up to 270% on milk, 245% on cheese, and nearly 300% on butter, designed to shield Canadian producers from foreign competition.\n\nAdditionally, Canada has applied tariffs on other U.S. goods over the years, often in response to trade disputes or to balance economic interests. For instance, before the latest round of tariffs in 2025, Canada had tariffs on thousands of product categories, though the exact scope and rates varied depending on the goods and trade agreements in place. Posts found on X also highlight sentiment that Canada has had tariffs on U.S. products like dairy and cars for decades, with some claiming rates as high as 25% on U.S. vehicles—though this may reflect specific cases rather than a blanket policy.\n\nIn contrast, the U.S. generally did not impose broad tariffs on Canadian goods until recent actions under President Trump, who introduced a 25% tariff on Canadian imports effective March 4, 2025, prompting Canada to retaliate with reciprocal 25% tariffs on CA$155 billion of U.S. goods. This retaliation built on Canada’s existing tariff framework but escalated the scale significantly. So, while Canada did have tariffs on U.S. goods beforehand, the current trade war has intensified the situation far beyond the pre-existing measures

I think we need to give it time. In a year or two picture should be clear. I don't think tariffs are necessary a bad thing long term if they spike more production of everything or at list anything in US. Short term it would be painful for everybody tho. We become a country of no production. Only consumption is not healthy. It is how every empire behaves on a last breath. Look back in history. Rom, Spain etc.Sooner or later we wouldn't be able to exchange worthless green paper to goods anymore outside of the country unable to produce anything inside the country and we die. Personally I find it interesting and possibly well thought experiment.. Living the way we did last 50 years is not possible anymore. Something need to change and at list Donald is trying unlike those useless talking heads. How will it ends. Who knows. I can only hope for success. In worst case we'll have unending supply of discounted bourbon:).

I do agree with you for some things but not all and i do think it was your best speach since 9 years but it does not take away what you have done wrong over your 9 years attacking freely canadien on there rights example:hunting right, sportshooting rights and freedom of expressing, running after the wrong person example:taking away legal firearms when they are not the problem since 80% of illegal firearms comes from outside the canada, I think that trump is just not taking canada seriously, over the past years since you are in power, canada has made a very bad name except for the freedom convye, which in that case made canadien stick together while you steaded in your office,i do think that a new leader/party should take place and give a chance for canada to walk out the mase you have done over 9 years

You people from XYZ are really like the EU hypocrites that all you got is words. As a Canadian, I hate Trudeau and everything his government has done to the country. I want a PM like Trump that is willing go against the entire system(deep state) and dig out all the dirt even though you're in the way of a lot of powerful people and organizations. Out of all the world leaders today, Trump is the only one with that kind of courage. Compare that to Trudeau—aside from his nice suits and polished public image, what has he actually done to improve the lives of Canadians? \nWe need a DOGE go into WHY WE ARE PAYING SO MUCH TAXES. When I was living in Vancouver, I (and many ppl) would just drive cross the border to get gas and groceries because it's just much cheaper once you're on US soil.... For years we cannot retain any talents because they would just migrate to the states because the pay is much higher with less taxes. I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. That is not the case anymore and everything is getting worse in the past 10 years.

First, the orange criminal is not a “very smart” man. At best he has, perhaps, average intelligence, but worst, he is dangerously ignorant of history and facts (how many other Americans over forty don’t know the significance of Pearl Harbor?). Sadly, for the U.S. and the entire world, Americans have seen fit to place a person with a severe case of Dunning-Kruger into the White House – again – they didn’t learn the first time.\n\nSecond, on this fentanyl thing. Are the vast majority of Americans children? The best way to keep them from becoming addicted or killing themselves with the stuff is to keep it from them? Where is the self-control…the ability of people to tell themselves no? The easiest way to kill any business is to starve it of customers.

First acknowledge that a country has the right to control its borders. The US has lost its Aircraft industry (Boeing), its Car industry (Detroit) and now its Semiconductor industry (Intel). Millions of unscreened people are infiltrating. Trump is trying. In the case of Canada and Mexico tariffs are counter-productive. Its tough to turn a declining empire around. His strategy is to tax foreign goods instead of taxing US resources and to force local production. The US citizen pays either way.

What if, The reason whyTrump is so eager to please Putin because Russia played a key role in helping him win the presidency ? manipulating the system and shaping public opinion through a massive online troll campaign and widespread disinformation? If that’s the case, he might feel indebted to Putin, starting with his actions on Ukraine, then moving on to lifting sanctions on Russia, even if it means harming U.S. allies in the process.hmm

Trump will do what he has always done. Screw everyone over while he makes off with the money and throws everyone else under the bus. In this case, the entirety of America will be the ones under that bus. Trump will once again get away completely unpunished for his actions. \nTrump and musk both belong in prison.

Americans take note.
\nCanada has a small population. It is a trading nation. Canada does not pretend to other countries that it is a friend while behaving in treacherous ways. Your minions and hypocrites, Vice President James David Vance and Senator Lindsey Graham should also take note.
\nCanada and the United States have been trading with each other for over 170 years. Circumstances and proximity made Canada rely on trading with its neighbour, the USA. In 2024, 75.9% of Canada's total exports went to the United States.
\nWas it convenience or laziness that made it so, or Canadians’ trust in America being a fair partner?
\nPresident Donald J Trump, you have insulted Canadians and the whole United States will harvest the consequences.
\nYou had negotiated the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) calling USMCA the best deal, and recently you called your deal the worst deal.
\nYou can be the Manchurian Candidate as much as you want. You seek to destroy Canada. Go ahead, do your worst. Keep being manipulated by the Putin and Musk of the world.
\nThis is the last time you will use this closeness between Canada and the USA to hurt Canada this way. Does not matter how long it will take, Canada will diversify its trading practice to foolproof itself from future fools like you, elected to the oval office.
\nNeighbours, Canadians will remain, there is no way of moving Canada to a different place on this planet’s map. Canada may remain an economic partner, but a close friend, you can forget it.
\nThere is a motto on the licence plates of vehicles of Québec (in case you might not know Donald, it is a province of Canada, not part of your fantasy 51st state). Since 1978 the motto says: “Je me souviens”. In English it translates into “I remember”. Canadians will remember what America is doing to them.

We have a corrupt government that has full responsibility for the Shit Show. Our corrupt government has been a corrupt government since the beginning of America and it's time for them to be exposed and I'm here to do just that. I'm Victim of District Supreme Court of Kansas and Government, Google Irene Pacheco vs State of Kansas, the only Mexican American in history who took the State of Kansas to the District Supreme Court of Kansas the District Supreme Court of Kansas: Violated my right to sue my employer the EEOC gave me, the Federal Judge signed a Pretrial Judgment for 100K, lost wages and the return of the lower paying job I worked for to support my 2 daughters, Falsified Federal Documents Tampered with Federal Records Deformation of Character Mental Anguish, Obstruction of Justice, Bias, Abuse of Power, Denied a hearing, Not informed that my case was moving on to the District Supreme Court of Kansas. The corrupt government underestimates the intelligence of the American citizens and I made history due to their corruption, I'm here to be their worst nightmare. The corrupt government is corrupt on all levels.

…and we consumers pay the higher prices. Why don’t these higher prices go exclusively to politicians?!? They are the ones fighting like little girls and they should be the ones to pay for their stupid arguments. I thought politicians were meant to represent the people. This is no longer the case

The more people escalate this in the media it brings fear, fear drives actions and many cases like this you are reacting out of emotion instead of logic. Trumps negotiation tactic is working people are trying to flex and appear strong and backing themselves into a corner. Sit down and negotiate.

We Americans are in the process of losing so much due to Trump. In my case, my Social Security and at age 72, I am terribly frightened. I took down my American flag due to the winter weather a few months ago, and I won't be putting it up again until Trump is out of office. May God Bless America. May God Bless Canada. May God Bless Ukraine. May God Bless all countries free of Putin and may it stay that way.

Horrible leader! Fair trade does not equate to being fair in this case. If you charge 25% why is it not fair in return to charge 25%? \nWhy does the world expect the US to cover their butts when our country can't afford it any longer. Why don’t they get that we are 37 trillion in debt? We can no longer afford the world’s unfair trade. Trudeau doesn't like the taste of his own medicine. He could lift the tariffs on the US and then there would be no reciprocal tarriff. He's only hurting Canadians.

Hey Donald Trump just in case you missed it you are One of the most hated people on the planet. You are the definition of Pathetic human being . You care for only for two things yourself and money . Karma's coming for you and all the glass in the world wont be able to save you from her . Good luck with that .

Your General said this is isolating Canada. No it isn't. The UK, Europe and Asia are very open to trade. Indeed many have existing deals which can only grow.\n\nI hear that there are a great many frustrated Americans. Americans who don't want this trade war. Unfortunately Your commander in chief is Your voice on the World stage. His choices are effectively Your choices. HE represents your country. It's him we have to deal with, or not, as the case may be.\n\nUntil you can wrestle the House, the Senate and ultimately the Oval, off these walking-disasters The US with edge closer and closer to being a Paraiah state.\n\nGood luck with that. You're going to need it. The World is already making alternative plans wrt defence, trade and political ideology. All without the US... think about that....

Trump is good a being president in many ways because he is a business man, not a politician, but in business it's about dominating the market place and your competition, bending them to your will if you can, but when you are president, you need to keep alliances with other countries, not dominate over them, otherwise you weaken your position on the world stage. When you are at the top with the biggest economy, army, you don't need to beat down those with less, you need to keep them on your side so their strength adds to your own, which is why you are at the top. Even a mafia boss won't beat down those under him, unless he wants war, and lose his position as others form alliances to take over top position as no powerful person, president, country wants to be beaten down into submission by anyone, so they create other alliances to match or overtake those at the top. In this case, Trump needs to play the politician or weaken his position, and China will be loving this as they are next in line.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Trump went against the trade deal that he made with Canada and Mexico when he renegotiated the existing deal during his first term. Trump called his deal with them beautiful and perfect. Trump does not keep the deals he makes to other countries or to the Americans who voted for him. \n\nTrump's final push in his campaign was to cut costs for Americans at the checkout, chuckling at the strange sound of the word 'groceries' to him. He has never worried about or dealt with buying groceries. The moment he got back into office, he said that lower prices wasn't happening and that the American people would suffer. \n\nThen he and Republicans began cuts in jobs and government services to Americans as well as others in the world, so that no one can trust Trump --- and in the case of others in the world, it reflects so bad on the U.S. and against any trust in the U.S. anymore. No president has ever done so much damage at home and abroad so quickly. \n\nTrump is the Deceiver and the Destroyer. Trump doesn't care if his voters figure it out. They are no longer needed.

Trudeau you are a weak lying snake bending truth to your victim narrative. Trump put you on notice regarding tariffs and here we are. Do you think he is not a man of his word? Well you have now experienced that this is in fact the case first hand. You have taken from America with very little in return and these are the consequences of your woke agenda for Canada. Look at you spouting venom, dischord and anarchy from your pulpit. Trump is interested in econmic revival for America and if you are not on board you will fall by the wayside. Only smart leaders realise throwing insults at Trump will only weaken your countries position. Surely you realise Trump is one of the most persecuted people on the planet, unjustly so, and your rhetoric will fall on deaf ears in the whitehouse. They've heard all the nonsense before. But, continue throwing the insults, chuck your toys out the pram, if it makes you feel like a grownup. I don't fancy your chances though.

Greetings from California! I stand with all of our friends in Canada, Mexico and China! I did not vote for this catastrophe but am definitely feeling the pain of these horrendous tariffs. My heart is with our friends up North and I hope you understand that many of us here in the US did not want this. The problem with Trudeau, is that he bluffs real hard about:\n- the US being dependent in Canada.\n- Canada's trade with the US for the past decades is nothing but just an act of friendly favour to the US.\n- That the US lifeline hangs in the charitable hands of Canada.\n------\nWell, in reality though, this is not the case.\nThe coming weeks, months, and years will speak by themselves.

Can Trump Become a Dictator Like Putin?
\nTrump has authoritarian tendencies, but turning the U.S. into a full dictatorship like Putin’s Russia would be extremely difficult. Here’s why:
\n1⃣ The U.S. Has Strong Institutional Barriers
\nUnlike Russia, where Putin gradually dismantled democracy, the U.S. has checks and balances (Congress, courts, states, the military).
\nTrump tried to challenge the system, but courts often ruled against him, showing that he doesn’t have full control.
\nTo become a true dictator, he would need to take over the judicial system, military, and elections—none of which are fully in his hands.
\n? Example:
\nTrump lost multiple court cases on election fraud claims, proving he does not yet have absolute control.
\n2⃣ He Lacks Full Control Over the Military & Law Enforcement
\nPutin controls the Russian military and secret police, allowing him to silence opposition.
\nIn the U.S., the military swears loyalty to the Constitution, not the president.
\nTrump tried to use the military against protesters, but military leaders refused, signaling that they wouldn’t blindly follow him.
\n? Example:
\nOn Jan 6, 2021, Trump encouraged an attack on the Capitol, but the military did not intervene on his behalf.
\n3⃣ American Democracy is Deeply Embedded in Culture
\nUnlike Russia, where people are used to strongmen leaders, Americans are culturally resistant to dictatorship.
\nU.S. citizens, journalists, and activists openly resist government overreach, making it harder for an authoritarian to rise.
\nFree press and independent media make it difficult to spread unchecked propaganda the way Putin does in Russia.
\n? Example:
\nTrump was impeached twice, showing that Congress still holds power over the president.
\n4⃣ Trump’s Path to Dictatorship Would Require More Control Over Elections
\nPutin rigged elections, eliminated opponents, and rewrote laws to stay in power.
\nTrump has tried to change voting laws and delegitimize elections, but the system still blocked him.
\nIf Trump could fully control elections, he could remove opposition and rule indefinitely.
\n? Example:
\nHe’s trying to install loyalists in key election positions for 2024, but this does not guarantee full control.
\n5⃣ Could He Still Try? Yes. Could He Succeed? Unlikely (For Now).
\n✔ Trump has authoritarian instincts and wants more power.
\n✔ He is trying to weaken institutions to increase control.
\n✔ But the U.S. system makes dictatorship much harder than in Russia.
\n✔ Unless he completely controls elections, the courts, and the military, he cannot rule like Putin.

Someone asked: Why do so-called Christians think Donald Trump is some kind of savior that was appointed by GOD to save us all? Another person answered: Because of the total opposites in your statement. I am a conservative AND a believer.
\nAnd that makes it so difficult for me to take Republicans serious. How in the world is it that those who profess to believe in GOD, claim to be Christians - and worship Trump?
\nA self-confessed abuser of women (When you are rich, they let you do anything you want to)?
\nA rapist.
\nA thief (Think: Trump “University”)
\nA man without respect for anyone (Think: “nick names.”)
\nA liar (Think: My crowd was bigger than any ones) + 34,000 PROVEN lies more
\nA hypocrite (The Two Corinthians)
\nA cheater (Think: Two pregnant wives, both of whom he cheated)
\nAn inciter of violence (Think: Fight like hell)
\nIn no way does the man fit any concept of Christian character and yet, those who profess to be Christians think he is GOD-given??? GOD does at times allow evil leaders to be appointed over Nations as part of HIS ETERNAL PLAN in this World before the Creation of this World as in the case Egypt's Evil Pharaoh and Evil King Saul because Israel wanted a King instead of GOD'S Prophets such as Samuel directing them at the time of Israel's request.
