I wish Kamala Harris & Tim Walz would have won the election. I keep thinking about the remarks from trump about secrets with elon & mike johnson. I personally think they cheated. I will always stand with Canada, The UK, Ukraine & every other European country. F trump, he belongs in prison. The only people who still back trump are the rich, the corporations. I will not buy any new phones, appliances & cut back as much as possible on food.

Historically speaking, walls on borders have been used to effectively keep people *_in_* and not out! Does anyone remember the iron curtain? \nWe're not going to have any trading partners left in the world, because we have turned our back on all of our traditional allies...\nHoly shit... Never thought I'd see this happen in my lifetime.

We know why HE is doing this. He is pushing an imperialistic agenda, so he can be like those he admires. He's hoping that Canada will bend at the knee and give in so that he can claim Canada as a 51st state. But guess what? That won't happen. He's just doing himself and his country harm. @robertedward7023 It can but I think Trump is right on this one. Zelensky needs to realize that he won't get his land back that Russia took, and that negotiating is the only way to come to peace now. He's living in a fairytale world fighting an unwinnable war. I think the US is right to pull the plug on financial aid to try to pressure Zelensky to negotiate to end the war. Unfortunately, to end the war Ukraine will likely have to concede the land they lost. But the reality is Putin will never give that land back. But it's better than more people dying everyday. Zelensky has gotten all too comfortable relying on financial aid and as a result he hasn't been willing to try anything new (like negotiate) to get this war finished. If we keep sending him money, nothing will change. Now he has pressure to negotiate. the US and Canada can't keep sending money to Ukraine for the next 20 years while this war carries on.

I’m in Seattle and have a vacation home in British Columbia so go there often while renting out other days to other people. Wonder how the tariffs gonna affect this. For example if certain things need to be remodeled in my pad over in BC I usually order from suppliers in USA near the border since I use them for my home in Seattle too. I’m guessing it might get taxed now. Not sure how it will play out. I do know that initially tariffs gonna effect lot of people but do believe in general it will get economy better. I recently saw that Mexico been adding tariffs for years for certain USA goods (for example appliances purchased in usa from Mexico will cost another 27% etc) and it’s time for USA do similar things. Just hoping my burrito cost doesn’t keep going up. Was around 8$ several years back and now it’s 14$ in Seattle ?

Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. In fact, it's the United States job to keep illegal drugs and immigrants out of the US and they are doing a poor job of it and need someone else to blame. Mexico could retaliate in a way that could flood the US with illegal drugs and immigrants and refuse to repatriate its citizens back into Mexico. The rest of Central and South America could do the same in support of Mexico. We Canadians are suckers if we're giving billions more to Ukraine. Trudeau needs to go now. As for the tariff, I think we need to strike back hard, and continue the boycott of US goods. All joking aside, Canada has been able to form a symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit with the United States since even before NAFTA 1. But.......... right now it is almost like a 51st state and I do not mean that in a joking way. US states are always competing with each other, but what prevents things like, oh say the American Civil war from happening is the Federal apparatus keeps them in line for the good of the empire as a whole. \n\n If Canada is like a 51st state, then it is competing with the other 50 states in a way that all 50 of them are going to get upset about. So either the states complain, or you treat Canada as an economic competitor. Mexico being behind the United States and Canada is what makes it a good candidate for a symbiotic relationship. Most illegal migrants spend thousands of dollars to commit the crime (entering any sovereign country illegally is simply an invasion). If they dare to enter China or any of the Arab countries this way, then who knows, they would be in heaven or hell rather than back home. All the deportees should be arrested on reaching back home for invading a foreign sovereign country and tarnishing the images of hundreds of millions of citizens of their countries who enter the USA or any other developed democratic country to study at the best of the universities, and after completion of the courses, they are not only provided the best of the jobs but also citizenship or other legal status to stay put in the countries. But these people reach their desired destination after going through rigorous educational and other processes and after a thorough background check. But in the matter of illegal immigrants, how are the victimized countries supposed to know their backgrounds? How can one be sure if they are not hardcore criminals, terrorists, spies, or even trained soldiers of enemy countries? In such uncertainty, how can the invaded countries be sure that an incident or incidents of such a large magnitude might not take place that, in comparison, the incident of 9/11 would look like the small incident of bursting firecrackers?But on one election promise, the president is, unfortunately, taking a complete U-turn that those students who do the master's and other higher studies should be retained and provided legal status to stay in the country as their contributions are needed to give the country the perpetual cutting edge in the highly competitive world and keep the country's status as number one. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

Something I've been thinking about. Trump keeps deporting people back to Canada and Mexico, but he also wants to make Canada a part of America (not sure if he wants to do the same with Mexico). How is he going to keep the people he wants to keep out if they become part of the country? What happens to the border and those people?

There are BILLIONS of ppl who in Africa, South America and Islam multiplied one thousand times in 100 yrs. They will not stop rapidly recklessly multiplying and of course, high numbers of kids per adult, esp abandoned mothers, creates poverty. Even if they make it to adulthood on hand outs stolen from your tax dollars they cannot possibly keep up with infrastructure, housing, sanitation, education, roads etc for an exploding population. In the early 1990s I worked with a Canadian and he said it is easy to cross the border into the U.S. but getting back into Canada was a hassle even if you were a Canadian citizen, you had to show the proper documents, be searched if you looked even slightly suspicious (aka not white). Makes a lot of sense they were keeping undesirables out of Canada but weren't concerned about who was getting into the U.S.

Send troops into NYC, Chicago, LA, etc. to back up ICE. Then just go to the big hotels where they are keeping all the illegals.

Sending back to Canada, since they love them they can keep them.

I live about 30 minutes from the Detroit/Windsor (Canada) boarder. I have gone back and forth and the agents coming back have more questions and keep you longer crossing over. Going over it's simply easy.

Reading the comments, people are quick to forget how politicians operate. They say some good things to keep people from hownding them, but dont follow up with actions. Saudi, most of the gulf actually, jordan and turkey etc they say things they know ppl would prefer to hear, but they say it to keep ppl off their back. They are all helping israel in different ways. Perfectly right.... when you break the laws don't expect to be treated like kings..... and yes I'm pretty much Indian...... These guys are lucky.... Trump should send them back the way they came without anything on them instead of wasting fuel and american taxpayer money on their flights...... if they could dish out 50K USD to get there illegally.... they surely can find their way back and pay up.... or then keep them all in Guantanamo until they don't pay for their own airfare back. The people protesting in India are mostly the opposition who hates trump... the bunch that was financed by soros. It needs to be drummed into their thick skulls that they are criminals... not patriots.... that's why they will be treated like criminals.

Every student who comes to USA for M.S. graduate studenfrom India pay only 1semister fee to colleges but they apply for 2 year tuition in Indian banks \n\nWhat is happening is colleges collect 1 semester fee and after 1st semester.\n\n students work part time at restaurants, gas stations, Motels grocery stoes. Mostly at non chain stores. \n\nLegally they are suppose to work on campus but they work off campus and earn and then pay for college. And some send to India they their friends illegally.\n\nThey travel up to 50 miles around to work. \n\nThese students work for cash and work for $7 to $8 per hour or even less.\n\nStore proprietors / owners tell these students if anyone comes for raid they will tell that they are working on voluntary basis and taking salary. So like this millions of students work illegally.\n\nAfter student comes out of college during OPT and stem OPTA they continue to work and approach consulting companies to generate payroll / trainee for no r a son just to give them status. \n\nDuring OPT these employers collect money to pay taxes and generate payroll and keep them to put them to work and maintain their status.\n\nThis does not stop here.\nH1-B workers who come from India on lottery 80% do not have clent jobs but they use back door and show that they have jobs and continue to pay taxes to show on paper that they are still working with a hope that they get jobs in future. And do part time work at restaurants, grocery store etc..\n\nStudents also stay in apartments in groups of 5 to 6 in 2 bed room unit and share and save money actual apartment lease is on only 2 people remaining people stay illegal.\n\nLandlord cooperation is there. \n\nthis situation is causing so much trouble to American citizens. Most Americans do not get a job even if they get paid low wages due to these unauthorized workers.\n\nCreate a department to report every local illegal student workers or H1-Bs or OPTs to ICE and disqualify them and cancel their visas.

I think people missed the point TOTALLY. FOOD and LIFE SAVING MEDICINE has a hard time getting to our troops … and now you want to PRIORITIZE shipping ESTROGEN to the front lines when you have a hard enough time getting food and life saving medication to the front lines? \n\nWell then … that now opens the door for diabetics and ANYONE ELSE with an illness that requires medication to DEMAND to be let into the military. \n\nAnd generally Trans people make up only 0.05% of the US population so I call \nBull that thousands of key positions will go I filled for decades. (What is this commander smoking)?\n\nAnd if you have an Identity trauma that forced you to change your sex … what are you going to do behind enemy lines when your Estrogen can’t get through and you begin to revert back to your biology? \n\nHorrible thing to say, but women have been raised and live with the threat of rape and have learned to become resilient over DECADES of being and living as a woman. What are you going to do if you are a Trans woman and get raped in the military for the first time? (Women have a certain resilience in this area that a man just does not have and it comes from living life as a woman - from birth).\n\nEven in peace time, transport problems do happen in remote areas … what happens when you run out of Estrogen and your next supply is 10 months away due to another outbreak of COVID and food, life saving medicine and COVID supplies are prioritized over your Estrogen? I know what will happen … you will whine, stomp your feet and cry like a baby that a critically ill soldier - in death’s door - is getting life saving medication over your Estrogen.\n\nMeanwhile when tampons and maxipads are late female soldiers just do what women have done for centuries … they just suck it up and keep on going.\n\nDemanding Male Privilege as a Trans Woman is pretty hypocritical.
