I was only there once, about 55 years ago. I remember a sleepy little town.

Most Americans living in the U.S. today aren’t originally from there — their ancestors migrated from Europe just a few centuries ago. Yet documentaries like this make it seem as if others are ‘taking over’ their land. The same story exists in places like Australia, where the original Indigenous population is now a small minority. Over time, migration changes every country’s demographics — it’s a global reality, not an invasion. Even cities like London, Toronto, or New York are built by immigrants from across the world. So before calling it a ‘takeover,’ remember that every nation today stands on layers of migration, adaptation, and cultural exchange.

Remember, it is Indians that spread disinformation about Muslims that they will not integrate to society and somehow destroyed from within. All these fake accounts on X and Instagram come from India. They make pro is Israeli content. However, when you look at Indians in Canada, look how they transformed a robust city into a shit hole.

I remember the day I presented my citizenship exam, there were were people who did not even read, write or speak English. Not only Indians, but Chinese as well. How is that even possible? I studied and learned English to fit in and be where I am now, why is this standard so skewed for people from former Asian, British colonies?

I lived in Canada for 11 years, 2008 - 2019, went to university and worked in Toronto. I come from an upper-middle class family in China, went to a top university in Canada, landed good jobs and I speak English like a native. I got my PR in 2015 and I remember the painful uphill battle I had to go through just get that. All the bureaucracy, redtape, unnecessarily rigid rules, high cost and long wait I received from CIC/IRCC felt like a humiliation to me. Every document was scrutinized and every step had obstacle that fealt unreasonable (my TOEFL examiner ask me why I had to do the language test required by CIC, and I had to visit a notary to validate my Chinese national ID card). It felt uneasy but I understood that these were the rules that everyone had to go through, and moving and integrating into a new society was never meant to be easy. I went back to Canada in 2021 and 2024, and it was evident that the country I once called home had gone down the hill. The streets were screaming crime, unemployment, inflation, drug and filth, it's total social rot. As someone who went through the whole immigration process (and many of my friends who went through the same have left Canada for good, like myself), I attribute much of this to failed immigration policy. I cannot help but feel confused, angry, betrayed and humiliated when I look at the recent immigration policies of Canada and their results, and compare with what I had to go through. The feeling sums up to: Canada penalizes the hard-working and law-abiding people, and rewards the undeserved and the cheaters. Example: when the US creates wars in the Middle East, why does CANADA bear the cost of bringing in refugees? I never regretted moving back to China and East Asia, and I feel bad for those who still truly think of Canada as home, as I am one myself. When the leadership of a country deviates from pragmatism, reason and common sense, and instead embraces idealogies, hypocrisy and political optics, this is what happens. The prices are paid by everyone, immigrant or not. For this, Trudeau deserves a court trial for his incompetence and dereliction of duty; and the people of Canada need some honest and serious retrospection. I will share some words of wisdom by the late Lee Kwan Yew: “Whoever governs Singapore (LKY was the PM and founding father of Singapore) must have that iron in him. Or give it up. This is not a game of cards, this is your life and mine. I've spent a whole lifetime building this and as long as I'm in charge, nobody is going to knock it down.” I hope the clownish weakling politicians in Canada (and, in much of the western world nowadays) can be enlightened a little bit.

My parents lived in Brampton in the 80s. I was born in the 90s and I remember having to hush hush about how Brampton was changing. It was “wrong” to talk about it. Now it’s in our face. White towns shrink and suffer while this Brampton economy explodes, and it’s not helping canada.

Try ordering food with any delivery company. It is the worst experience ever. I remember delivery people used to be so chill, probably because they could afford to live on minimum wage. I recently gave a driver a huge tip and requested it be brought to my door because I was having a movie night, they called me and said " COME OUTSIDE! COME OUTSIDE!" and I said "I requested for it to be delivered to my door", then he hung up and left with the food. Probably ate it. I had to reorder my meal and wait another hour. I swear to God every time I order food for delivery, which is rarely, the door dash driver is absolutely disrespectful or putting in 0 zero. This is the cheap labor Trudeau wanted. I honestly just feel bad ordering food for delivery now because I know it's hell out there

As someone who is born in Canada as an Indian. This is absolutely sad to here. I want the best for Canadians who are born and raised here. I have 10 years of experience working in the nation I was raised and I am having some people have my job who aren't even fit for the job. It makes no sense to me. Our wages have stalled due to international students for a better life, but at the end I want money just like other Canadians who have been here for ages. Also we need to end why our government allows lucrative hiring contracts overseas for cheaper positions in certain degrees and diplomas. In addition, why are all of our call centers placed all over the world. From Africa, south east Asia, South Asia. Those jobs can be available here. We can have a decomcratic country if our country didn't care about just "growth" we didn't need more immigration. We needed systematic change in government, schools, common sense, I could go on. I think us as Canadians don't know how corrupt the world really is. Look at other countries and how they work. It's lucrative essentives to benefit only certain people. I would rather have our tax payer money be used to fix the system. My dad's been here since the 1980s and he is sad for everyone. This is a loss on both ends. We didn't create new universities, new highways to support the population, no hospitals, new schools. I remember when my class sizes were 18 to 20 kids. We need change, not radical because we were never that. Let's do what we do best and be Canadians for us first.

Canada’s government needs to check also about issuing the driver license. because i’ve heard that you can pay now to pass the driving test even all this people doesn’t know the rules or even following all the signs on the road. I’ve never seen so much car accident and too much car on the road. Why it is easy for them now to get a license. We need to remember driving in other country is not the same here. Also even your credit score is bad, even your salary is not good the car company gives you a car easily with hight interest. Thats also need to be check

Looks like Indian culture is more about community. I remember having friends getting kicked out of their homes at 18. This would never happen in an Indian household. Temples welcome all and feed everyone they can. Seems like the Indian immigrants are acting more Canadian than the old residents.

I visited Brampton over New Year's 2018. I couldn't believe how huge the Indian community was at the time. The weather was extremely brutal, so we didn't go out much. Everywhere we did go was ALL Indian! I was visiting a friend's family. I remember asking him if there were any cultural conflicts between the immigrants and the Canadians. At the time, it didn't seem to be a problem. Evidently, a lot has changed since then!

My parents immigrated to Canada from Portugal. They set about trying to be even more Canadian than someone born here. I have no problem with immigration, but I do start to when people refuse to adopt our customs and ways and just act as though they are still in India and don't respect Canada- the country they have moved to. They take advantage of our health care systems, benefits etc etc. I find it sad that Canada is starting to look nothing like the country I remember in my youth.

I don't have the Canadian numbers but in the US 6% of tax comes from Indians and they're 1% of the population. You don't have to trust me you can look it up. The motives of this look racist because when you try hiring white folks the retention rate is extremely low, these past 6 months I have seen 8 employees in managerial positions who quit less than 2 weeks and it's impossible to retain them no matter what salary you offer and then when you go hire an Indian they just don't quit and work harder. But again that's an anecdote, that doesn't mean white folks don't work hard. Everyone has different experiences so stop, putting half baked stuff out on the internet and stop embarrassing yourself. This is why I desperately wish there was an actual Libertarian party to vote for in elections! There is a party, but they have not gotten enough signatures to be able to run yet, I don't even know if there is an office or representative in Ontario right now! I wish! Their policies (on paper) seem great, and geared more towards a 'Canada first'/'Canadians First' approach. They touch on a lot of topics and there seem to be a lot of things they want to change! But a government is still a government, they will be motivated by money regardless of any good intentions they may have. So if and when things change, WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE! We as the citizens have the power to change things for the better! It's just unfortunate that I see so many people getting pushed down or ignored or hated because they are speaking their mind. Remember, Canada dosen't have laws like the US, our freedoms aren't as protected nor do we have the same freedoms they do (like owning and protecting your own property, or self defense!) We as people need to start being honest and expressing things instead of being terrified of the backlash (of which there will be in these times). The only way we can make progress is by deciding to get out of our comfort zones and standing for what is right! For the freedoms and protections we deserve! To make a future worth living for us and our children! It will not be easy, but when is change ever easy? I hope that one day I won't be terrified of the thought of bringing a life into this world and country. I hope I can be stable enough to be able to give my future children a decent life. But right now? I would never want to have children, things are too unstable and I don't want to bring a child into this country and force them to live a terrible life they never asked for! I desperately want to be able to keep hoping for a better future, a better country, and people who can enjoy their lives instead of constantly worrying and stressing about everything. I hope some can consider looking into the Libertarian party as well! They may be small right now, but they seem to be wanting to right the wrongs that have occured.

There was a group of middle eastern men at a local gas station a few years ago, and they were getting loud and rude with one of the locals (smaller town,) They weren't long finding somewhere else to be when the local guy made a call and twenty plus guys showed up and advised these men that they were outnumbered and might want to remember that in the future, As they were leaving one of them said, you'll find out when we are the majority in this country.
