I don't get it. I'm not an American and i hoped for trump to win just for what he said he would and for what biden did to him by making him like Hitler which is not true and almost got him assassinated but seriously...after you see what is happening, how can someone support him.

The fentanyl excuse is just that an excuse, trump wants to make money from tariffs to give a huge tax break to the billionaires in the USA including musk, he is not worried at all about fentanyl, he doesn't care about other people, but he does care about tax breaks for himself and the billionaires who support him. I support Canada and Mexico in this trump fiasco, and I hope Canada and Mexico really make trump squirm. trump knows tariffs will hurt the US citizens but he knows it will hit the Lower and middle classes the hardest, not causing him and the billionaires nearly as much trouble. He is hoping that the tariffs will bring in enough money for him to be able to give the billionaires including himself a huge tax break.

The more I read the comments of different news articles, the more I realize that we as a world, and a species, want to be united as friends, hand in hand but our leaders are trying to keep us divided. It would be nice to see more from Canada in their investments to secure the border and stop crossings, cartel movements, and drug operations. The US has spent more than 409 billion since 2003 on such operations. Regardless, I feel for you Canadians and it sucks that it has come to this and I hope we keep strong relations in the future. Hopefully we can come to a fair deal soon. Mexico and China are the big players that do not do nearly enough to prevent these crimes. In fact, the Mexican government helps the cartels by not trying to stop them. China's lack of regulation on the ingredients to make fentanyl contribute to a large extent to this tragedy as well.

In a sense I know why (optics), but in another sense, I don’t. Why do so many insist on retaliating against Trump’s tariffs with more or higher tariffs of their own? I think it’d be so much more effective if someone said, “You know, we’ve thought about this, and we have come to realize that tariffs are really bad. So starting tomorrow, we will respond by getting rid of all our tariffs. This will make everything we import more affordable. It will make us richer. We hope other countries will join us! Presumably the whole point of tariffs on Canada is to raise revenues to cover the tax cuts for the oligarchs that he hopes will keep his or his family permanently in power. From that point of view it makes sense to put the tariffs on the biggest trade partners. The tax breaks the oligarchs get will allow them to buy up and control the media on his behalf. Nothing to do with fentanyl. That's just a lie that US citizens are stupid enough to swallow.

However we will continue on that course and we will continue to fail. The Cato Institute was initially funded by the Koch brothers a extremely conservative organization that gets together a group of the brightest and the best in trying to determine what is the best solution.the Koch brothers were the group that invented the tea party I would love for anybody who disagrees with this post. I would like anybody who thinks that this is a far-fetched idea ,all I ask is that if you disagree with the finding that it should be legal with age restrictions if you disagree I would like to hear a solution that you have in mind that you think is better than the Cato Institute finding. I am under the impression that you do not have anything that remotely resembles a solution to this terrible problem.
