I think Canada lost the plot of integration. \n\nBeing an Indian, I do agree that immigration needs to be in controlled- not stopped but controlled so that the immigrants get time to contribute to the community and also integrate.\n\nAlso looking at the video the first man who was sitting and smoking, it will be good to know how he is contributing to the community aswell.

Poor guy. My heart goes out to the delivery driver. He is super patient. What is wrong with this customer? Did the customer think taping this we were going to side with his abusive behavior toward the delivery man? I agree the delivery driver should have a change of at least a $20, but that does not give the customer the right to speak to him this way. He wants to make a clown of the delivery driver but he only made a clown out of himself.

Its life threatening & caused by a bone disease that I have no control over but the Gov't wont help pay a damn cent. My parents migrated from Pakistan to UK in the 1960s, they were the minority Muslims, but pioneers in establishing mosques, halal food in all educational establishments, many work places and major food outlets in majority Muslim areas. They also established Salah places in work and education and public buildings, and also the rights to practice your faith and take time for Salah in working hours.\n\nNow, my family are the fifth settled generation and alhamdolillah, we have many madrassas, islamic schools, and children becoming Hafiz. \n\nWe live in harmony with non Muslims and many are converting daily, the question is if there was no Muslims, how would the Deen be shown and expand in non Muslims countries. Even our Sahabahs went into the world to teach and expand our beautiful faith Islam.\n\nMany Islamic countries are only Islamic my name, they are the biggest contributers to the genocide, as they have not spoken up or helped their Muslim ummah in Palestine. You will also find many covert doctrines in their governments that you may not agree with.\n\nLastly, many Muslim children attend public schools and are being exposed to the LGBT community and we as Muslim parents are teaching them in our homes from a young age, that in islam there is only a man and a woman and no third gender and only a man can marry a woman.\n\nYou can have the best of intentions but you can wrap your children and one day they will be exposed to what is not Islamic, and they need to be taught how to deal with it and hopefully, by showing them their own Islamic values, hopefully also change people's perceptions as they come into Islam.\n\nMaybe, if you stayed in Canada, you could establish an islamic school for your children and other Muslim children to attend, look around where you live, see where you can establish prayer areas, talk to the mall managers and finance prayer rooms, talk to schools, public restaurants, and establish halal foods. Please look at what has been achieved in the UK and you are at the beginning of that in Canada, and think of the Islamic foundation you are setting the future generations of Muslims and also many more Muslims who may convert one day. insha'Allah

I am a Christian, and I have been married to an amazing North African (a practicing) Muslim woman for the past 17 years. By the way, we have lived in five different majority Muslim countries, but Malaysia is by far the best one of all. We have friends who moved to Europe from North Africa and the Middle East. However, Canada is definitely better than Europe, the Middle East, or Pakistan or any other Muslim country for any Muslim man or woman. We have very close Pakistani friends who moved to Canada from Dubai, and they will never consider moving back to either the Middle East or Pakistan. I don't agree with the Saleh family's reasons for leaving Canada, other than the cold weather. I wish them happiness and safety wherever they go. FREE PALESTINE!!

As a Christian when it comes to drunkenness and disorder and modesty and other moral issues I would agree with these people trying to clean up the community, just that as a Christian we would have a different approach. Pray for God to help them not just practically, but spiritually and encourage them to put their faith and trust in God who can help with underlying problems that causes them to waste away their lives on drink and drugs in the first place. I am descendant of Latinos, and I do not agree with this administration has caused. I met someone in a Walmart parking lot from Venezuela. He had been here in Atlanta for 10 days and didn’t know anyone. He told me he came to the US because Biden promised all Venezuelans asylum and therefore be legalized in the US. So I genuinely asked him how his country was, and he said that things were very difficult; not being able to afford basic things, so then I said “well, I’m sure that is the result of the presidents decisions, most precisely socialism/communism,” I thought he was going to agree and he said “no, our president and former president had good ideas and plans.” My point is that all of these people coming from Venezuelan are fleeing their country because of the negative situation that sadly is taking place in their country, however their mindsets have been corrupted by thinking they deserve to have “free” things. All of these ppl will be legalized and they will be able to vote very soon, so these ppl will vote democrat because they were given this opportunity by Biden. This is a very demonic man by the left, and sadly this will cause a lot negative results to the US. As an immigrant to Canada who's built a successful business here, I do feel the urge to defend Canada when I see these sorts of videos.\n\nThings are hard right now - inflation is really crippling and I don't know how the housing prices are still holding up despite rising interest rates. I also agree the red tape is absolutely bonkers.\n\nThe country needs to develop more of a pro-business mentality. Everywhere I look, people are complaining about not having a good job but no one wants to put up their hand to start a business to create those jobs.\n\nBut, man, is it beautiful living in the Rocky Mountains. The price of living is going up all over the world, the last 6yrs has become very pricey in all western countries. Hospitals are overrun in major cities in Canada that's very true, but not in smaller locations. Boring (are you crazy ? lolol) I completely disagree. You just don't know where to go lol ... however everything you do in Canada cost money ?. And I completely agree when you mention that Canada won't allow you to become filthy rich (very disappointed about that one) ... There is racism, but not just from the predominant Canadians. There have been many times when the racism is from someone new to Canada. But i also know as a black person i will experience this anywhere in the world. I agree with Alberta and Quebec being at the top. Atlantic Canada is underrated. I live in BC it's definitely not 4th, yes beautiful geographically, but everything man-made not so much. Tons of homeless, poverty, segregation and the locals (esp. Vancouverites) are actually quite snobby and unfriendly. Even small cities here face problems with homeless and drug addicts.

It is such a shame that follow Asians and even American Natives play such a role in perpetuating racism against African descent people, but I guess they have their issues of identity. I agree that majority of Muslims are peaceful. Problem is there are violence in scriptures. \nIn interview, a Muslim lady tells Islam gives women a higher status than man. She should learn Islam and learn whether her testimony is repeated at least in equal as per sharia.

I’m white (European French), ow Canadian but grew up in Oakland, Calif, had a black boyfriend in High School and now have a black daughter in law so I’m comfortable and familiar with many racial issues. When Kathleen mentioned she felt uncomfortable with a white man touching her hair and saying it was beautiful, I thought that was taking her perceived racism over the top. If she had been white with the same hair only blonde it would have been equally uncomfortable. I completely agree that racism is rampant and terrible, I see it frequently but it’s important to not make Everything about racism.... that can become a problem in itself

Psychology student here. In the interest of accurate information, I would like to point out some flaws I find with some of the studies in this documentary and question the conclusions reached. I understand that CBC Marketplace are not personality psychologists and therefore cannot be expected to produce the same quality of work as a scientist. However, I think it is worthwhile to think critically about the information in the media that we consume. I am also open to anyone who wants to engage in debating the contents of this documentary.\n\n\nThe following are some notes I took while watching the documentary outlining the individual hypotheses of the studies I think are flawed and descriptions of their respective accompanying errors. \n\n\nThere are three possible research questions, and thereby dependent variables, being answered by the apartment hunting studies.\n1. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \n \n2. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man between Toronto, Montreal, Regina, and Victoria, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could total apartments visited be a confounding variable? (4 in Toronto, 3 in Montreal, Regina, and Victoria) \nb. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \nc. They only showed the black man apartment hunting in some of the trials. I am considering him out of the study for consistency purposes. The first-nations man is the only one who got unfair treatment in the footage of apartment hunting. \n \n3. Possible hypothesis: If male landlords/agents are more discriminatory than female landlords/agents, then the white man and the first-nations man will get different treatment at different Canadian apartments in equally diverse cities. \na. Don’t know all the information about the genders of the landlords/agents, not all the footage is shown, but the ones where they get ripped off are male. The others shown are female. The remaining interactions are not shown.\n\n\nThere are also some factors that may have influenced the racial bias survey and, in my estimation, rendered it scientifically unreliable.\n\n\n1. The bias survey and accompanying tests at the CBC attributed the differences between the studies to unconscious racism. What if it was just due to familiarity with certain racial groups over others? \na. The black participants had no bias between European-American and African Americans, supposedly indicating no racism, while the white and first-nations participants did, supposedly indicating racism. Is it possible that another interpretation of this result is that bias is a function of familiarity: that we are comfortable with the majority demographic in the geographical location we live in, as well as our own kind. Therefore, the black guys are less biased against black people due to being both black and living in a white majority demographic? \nb. The participants took the survey knowing the objectives of the researchers was to study racial discrimination. They might have influenced the answers they gave \nc. Whether the participants agreed with identity politics or not was a confounding factor that was not controlled . You can only be racially unbiased biased if you think that racial identity is a means of accurately viewing the world. People who do not believe in the existence of identity politics may answer the questions quite differently, which could be a different reason for the results.\nd. I took the study myself. The words that participants were required to match were a mix of adjectives and nouns. It is known within psychology that nouns have higher levels of imagery. This was not properly controlled and therefore is another confounding variable. \n \nAll the other studies looked fine to me. I welcome any discussion on my observations.
