Oh, we are pissed at the government but we are also mad at the immigrants who don't bother to assimilate, integrate. Who come here bold enough to demand changes on OUR culture because THEY are offended in OUR land! The immigrants who wish the end of Canada, who harass and intimidate targeted groups of Canadians on CANADIAN soil. Yes, we are mad at the immigrants too.

May I say as a Metis. My family were and are the first people to be described as Canadian and are still acknowledged as the original Canadians. My great Uncles and Aunts fought the British North West Mounted Police at Batoche because the British Colonizers after outlawing fur trade except through the HBC company were further insulted by having their ancestral land sectioned off and given to immigrants. My uncles also were part of the first battle at Seven Oaks when surveyors were surveying and measuring my ancestral cousins land. The British Immigrants were described as the preferred immigrants. TheNorth American Indians, the Metis were described as undesirables and in a memo written to the Indian Affairs Minister during John A MacDonald asking him how best to remove the undesirables Metis from their land. The Metis were not placed on reservations because we never stopped fighting for our homeland rights. What is happening now is a continuation of what happened back when John A MacDonald was Prime Minister. May I also say if these migrates think their customs and regions are so great then stay in your homeland. But unlike the brave Metis who continues to oppose the government and finally 100 years later some our birthrights as the original Canadians have been recognized. My great grandfather and his father were both named Antoine and Charles Henault dit Canada, and to this day from the 1700s some of my cousin’s last name has been Canada since the 1700s. People with Canadian passports don’t make them Canadian. Indians from Indian don’t integrate or intermarry. They impose their culture on the rest of the country. Get rid of them all.

I immigrated to Canada in 2020 during peak COVID. I lost my job working in the Middle East and I had my PR so it made sense moving to Canada for good. I’m a chemical engineer who worked in oil and gas for about 10 years in the Middle East. Once I landed in Canada, I went to work in Amazon Fullfillment Centre the week after I completed my quarantine. It was hard labor working for $16 per hour in Toronto. I worked for 10 months while working on my qualifications and engineering license. After that I was hired by an oil and gas contracting company and worked as a Trainee engineer after which I was promoted to Senior engineer in a year after I received my engineering license. I moved 4 cities in 4 years for my job. Now I am settled, own a home, got married to my long time girl friend and work at an Oil and Gas company which pays well. What I learnt through my experience is that Canada is a land of opportunities and people respect you for the work you do whatever it may be and do not judge you, all that we will have to do is work hard and improve on your skills. Integrate with the society, donate and volunteer. That’s how new immigrants can integrate. If you aren’t open minded and want to stay as you stayed in your country then you will not develop and it will hinder yours and the country’s progress.

Culture is a tricky thing. Is it not a known fact that one may not be all that interested in their culture and religion in their country of origin, but once immigrated to a different land, these same people become more attached to their original culture and religion, even more orthodox in their beliefs. They try to recreate what is familar. Why are we surprised most are not assimilating? It takes, for most, many generations. And even then. Immigrants will always, in one way or another affect change in the general culture. Think of different cuisine, the arts, influences on our beliefs, etc. What is a Canadian anyways? One who lives here? Who pays taxes here? How long of roots do you need to have before you are no longer called an immigrant? We have a very large country and from one community to another there is a difference in the culture. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what is in fact our highest Canadian values and communicate them more effectively. I would also like to add that there is suffering in not being able to pass on your culture. Watching your children and grandchildren speaking a different language, not having them understand yours enough for you to enjoy signing traditional songs to, not being able to guide them in your religious beliefs, etc., in the name of them becoming assimilated. I am experiencing these and my roots go back over 400 years on this land.

As an immigrant in Canada 🇨🇦, this country has been good to me, my kids were born on this land. Had I been raised in my birth country. I could not have brought any kids in this life. C’mon just on my freaking street every other building is rented by 2-3 immigrants. Which means no flat is left for people whom lwere either burned in Canada or legally immigrated here This massive immigration must stop.

It’s sad being a born Canadian and watching the land I love turn into an income battleground. Nobody wants to hire someone with the thought of training. They want people with experience but won’t give the experience to those who lived here and need it. They’d rather hire someone from somewhere else that has experience and then fails to follow through as the born and raised person given the opportunity would. The amount I’ve seen white people fight to work and work fighting to keep their job burning themselves out when they’re easily replaceable by someone for a fraction of the cost and needing 3 people in their place since most immigrants are extremely lazy, especially after getting the pr. I’ve watched so many eastern Indians start to work full time. Hardly do anything until they get their card then drop off the map of actual work being done only to move to Ontario. Meanwhile I apply to countless jobs and don’t get one call back in 2 years with experience. Don’t even get me started on housing..

When i immigrated here amost 30 years ago, not a single $ was given to me by the stupid government. I have money to support myself, that's the rule before paid landing fee and must have money of my own to spend for couple of months besides me passing the point system from my home country. Now these people coming is given thousands of dollars😡

Canada is not bringing in immigrants to work. I am a child of immigrants. My parents worked hard from the day they landed and given 0 from the government. Today, these "new Canadians " get free housing, free large amounts of money(which they use to send back to their homeland)...while we , born Canadians find it hard to pay our everyday expenses. Does this make sense.? The government has to stop handing out our hard earned money. Take care of your own first. And we have to endure bending to their culture not them learning our culture...our humility and kindness. So-called white people are colonizers. And the Asian Indians are immigrants just like so-called "white" people. The land belongs to the indigenous people of Canada not the immigrants or colonizers. My family immigrated here in 2011. First, I want to express gratitude—to the Indigenous peoples who have always been the true stewards of this land, and to the other immigrants , despite a complicated history, built a nation where opportunity is possible. But to the wave of immigrants who came after 2017—listen carefully: you are ruining the very country you ran to for safety and opportunity. Too many of you are uncivilized. You don’t respect others. You lie, you cheat, you act without humility or integrity, you always go for short cut, you stink. You take advantage of a system you never helped build, and you give nothing back in return. No doubt about it, Canada is for Canadians. If you wanted to, you could deport millions of immigrants, but let's be real about the cost. The Canadian economy, its pensions, its farms, and its health sector all rely on immigrants to pay taxes and fill jobs. It's not some big conspiracy about population replacement; it's just about the economy. You can't have one without the other. Canadians aren't the only ones dealing with this. In Asia and Africa, it's a different kind of immigrant, the ones with money who buy up land and property, driving locals out of the market. They're not given an ear either, because money talks. It’s always been about the money and the power, and Canadians should understand that perspective too. The culture or religion of a few bad apples shouldn’t be used to tarnish every immigrant. We do need to do a better job screening people, but it’s not fair to paint everyone with the same brush. In the U.S., Indian immigrants are top earners and incredibly successful, but people still complain that they’re "taking their jobs." So, if an Indian person is a failure, they're a problem. If they're a success, they're still a problem. They can't win. This old colonial mindset is alive and well. It's tough for some people to process that a person of color can outsmart them and rise up by their own bootstrap. But when those same folks go to Asia or Africa, suddenly they feel that old nostalgia and are much more comfortable with the social hierarchy there. It would be ideal if no one had to leave their home country for a better life. When we have more justice in the world for everyone, maybe we won't have to keep having these conversations.

As an emmigrant who came to this country 15 years ago, I am astonished by the lack of knowledge this country has. This reason stands in empty education ( in an irony of life, the canadians call it one of the best on the word), and the belief Canada is a democracy. It is typically a fascist country that makes spurious elections because it is truly run by an establishment hidden as a secret society and in the surface is run as a mafia by small groups of interest ( corporations, professional order, injustice system, and emty shell politicians). The others ( the canadian people) they enjoy democracy 😂, high quality of life( really, just make a visit to a poor european country as Portugal, Greece ). The same goes for education, just oven degrees hot and not edible. Now Canadians learned that immigrant are taking their land and opportunities. You're lied, put under pot, and cheated by your democratic representatives. This video is horrible. I don't know what political angle is, but the real problems are very well known and have nothing to do with what you said. First, housing is incredibly difficult to build in Canada because of regulations and land title problems, I.e., you don't own that land, the indians do. On top of that, there is a constant influx of immigrant that require housing that doesn't exist. Children cry because they cannot leave their parents' houses because they can't move anywhere, so they can't find any jobs locally, and they're trapped. There is no will in the canadian government to change these immigration policies, to change the land rules so that people can own land and build houses, or do anything about their incredibly micro managed economy that makes it impossible to do anything. If so, yeah, they go to the US to have a future while Canada stagnants and dies.

As someone living in Canada... I actually don't feel much of the things mentioned in the video. Sure, wages are not growing as fast as it can, but as someone who managed to purchase a home *before* the bubble started to expand, I'm living steady right now.\n\nWhat is REALLY causing a large part of the social and economic issues is actually the fact that provinces are NOT expanding new towns and cities in the millions of kilometers that needs to grow. Everyone is moving into cities, including refugees and new immigrants, which is driving up local prices and demand for everything. A few years ago, there were literally news of townships outside of the major cities offering houses and land for $50 per acre if people move to those towns and live there. \n\nCanada's biggest (heh) advantage is how much land it has. It's biggest weakness is how little comparative population it has. The worst problem is the concentration of population in like 6 keys cities throughout the entire country. If more people who complain about housing or social issues were willing to move outside of the major cities, they wouldn't have those problems.

Boomers in Canada are very nimby thus making housing so much harder to build, leading to younger generations emigrating to other countries like south of the border. Also eating up lands zoned to industrial, and thus making industrial rent more expensive to the remaining patches of land available on city outskirts. \n\nMaybe it’s time to review the policies overall. Canada has been treating its older generations like kings, with their large lawns and healthcare which they frequently use…while younger generations and immigrants work like a slave.
