That was a great speech from Prime Minister Trudeau. One of his best I must say . . . we've got to stick together and fight back this idiocy from Trump, and if we can do that we will win and he'll back off from these ridiculous and needless tariffs.

I am somewhat astounded by many of the comments on here. Everyone needs to do this, Trump is siding with a vile dictatorship, he's made a bed with Putin - it's clear as day and it's also clear as day that his government is not a government for the people, but for the nepo-billionaires that it's now made up of. Similar to how the Russian government is made up of oligarchs. Democracy can never be taken for granted, it's something we need to fight for!

America has a strong history with its allies UK, Canada, Japan and Australia but these tariffs undermine these relationships and call into question America's trustworthiness going forward. America will become increasingly isolated which plays directly into China's and Russia's interests.
