Brampledesh…I knew it! I was there a few years ago and I didn’t see any other race.. I stayed at a friend’s small cottage ground. Which they are or we’re trying to take over the land. It was so bizarre all these new houses and people then a street away a small entrance surrounded by trees and cottages. My family of 16 moved to Canada from Holland in 1952. My wife’s family moved from France in 16th century. Canada has always been a land of immigrants. Where we lived in East Vancouver were were surrounded by Italians. Richmond was nothing years ago and now is mostly Chinese and Asian. Foreigners are energetic and have cultural roots they are proud of why shouldn’t they. When government leaders focus on population and economic growth that's usually is a sign that they aren't balancing the budget correctly. They're trying to increase tax revenue without increasing taxes. I'd look closer at government corruption. Overpopulation destroys the environment. Canada is one of the few places on earth that still has an environment. Russia and Australia are the other ones. Russia's strategy is to look sort of like an ogre and it's too cold. Australia's strategy is to look like they harbor too many dangerous animals and the land is too arid. Canada's strategy is to keep higher taxes than the USA and it's too cold. People tend to gravitate toward lower tax and warmer places. Fewer people is better, it doesn't matter what their race is. I lived in Canada for 11 years, 2008 - 2019, went to university and worked in Toronto. I come from an upper-middle class family in China, went to a top university in Canada, landed good jobs and I speak English like a native. I got my PR in 2015 and I remember the painful uphill battle I had to go through just get that. All the bureaucracy, redtape, unnecessarily rigid rules, high cost and long wait I received from CIC/IRCC felt like a humiliation to me. Every document was scrutinized and every step had obstacle that fealt unreasonable (my TOEFL examiner ask me why I had to do the language test required by CIC, and I had to visit a notary to validate my Chinese national ID card). It felt uneasy but I understood that these were the rules that everyone had to go through, and moving and integrating into a new society was never meant to be easy. I went back to Canada in 2021 and 2024, and it was evident that the country I once called home had gone down the hill. The streets were screaming crime, unemployment, inflation, drug and filth, it's total social rot. As someone who went through the whole immigration process (and many of my friends who went through the same have left Canada for good, like myself), I attribute much of this to failed immigration policy. I cannot help but feel confused, angry, betrayed and humiliated when I look at the recent immigration policies of Canada and their results, and compare with what I had to go through. The feeling sums up to: Canada penalizes the hard-working and law-abiding people, and rewards the undeserved and the cheaters. Example: when the US creates wars in the Middle East, why does CANADA bear the cost of bringing in refugees? I never regretted moving back to China and East Asia, and I feel bad for those who still truly think of Canada as home, as I am one myself. When the leadership of a country deviates from pragmatism, reason and common sense, and instead embraces idealogies, hypocrisy and political optics, this is what happens. The prices are paid by everyone, immigrant or not. For this, Trudeau deserves a court trial for his incompetence and dereliction of duty; and the people of Canada need some honest and serious retrospection. I will share some words of wisdom by the late Lee Kwan Yew: “Whoever governs Singapore (LKY was the PM and founding father of Singapore) must have that iron in him. Or give it up. This is not a game of cards, this is your life and mine. I've spent a whole lifetime building this and as long as I'm in charge, nobody is going to knock it down.” I hope the clownish weakling politicians in Canada (and, in much of the western world nowadays) can be enlightened a little bit.

I don’t disagree that people on a student visa should go back once the visa expires. a lot of responsibility falls on IRCC and immigration/ government to actually have everything regulated and documented. IRCC is impossible to get a hold of. Applications open people apply.. they get in and then the government forgets about them… the students and work permit people once they land have no idea what is going on. No place to live.. mental health.. tons or restrictions. Don’t invite guest for a sleep over if there is not extra bed in your house. Say the guest then decides they can just sleep on floor or sofa and you keep letting it happen over and over with no boundaries but also just say that they are not welcome. So again it’s the person who invites the guest who is responsible for clear cut communication, deadlines etc

The older whites in Brampton seem to be blaming others because they failed in life. Anyone in Brampton knows a lot of the whites are on drugs in the downtown area. People started getting annoyed about Brampton when the international student boom happened. This is different from families settling or people starting families. Young students who are basically poor and desperate take up all the jobs and they pack so much into one house. Indian international students have ruined Indian reputation in Canada. Indians figured how to game the system and flood Canada better than other nationalities. And it’s true they do not integrate. They leave their land and come to a place where it’s just like home. Where they can live work, and go to school and not interact with any other race, ethnicity probably can go weeks without speaking English. Chinese have similar places like this but they’re not frowned upon.

Funny how some people get upset about immigrants coming to Canada… forgetting that Europeans were the first “immigrants” here, who stole the land from Indigenous people. Now they’re getting a tiny taste of what Indigenous folks felt when settlers showed up and changed everything.

May I say as a Metis. My family were and are the first people to be described as Canadian and are still acknowledged as the original Canadians. My great Uncles and Aunts fought the British North West Mounted Police at Batoche because the British Colonizers after outlawing fur trade except through the HBC company were further insulted by having their ancestral land sectioned off and given to immigrants. My uncles also were part of the first battle at Seven Oaks when surveyors were surveying and measuring my ancestral cousins land. The British Immigrants were described as the preferred immigrants. TheNorth American Indians, the Metis were described as undesirables and in a memo written to the Indian Affairs Minister during John A MacDonald asking him how best to remove the undesirables Metis from their land. The Metis were not placed on reservations because we never stopped fighting for our homeland rights. What is happening now is a continuation of what happened back when John A MacDonald was Prime Minister. May I also say if these migrates think their customs and regions are so great then stay in your homeland. But unlike the brave Metis who continues to oppose the government and finally 100 years later some our birthrights as the original Canadians have been recognized. My great grandfather and his father were both named Antoine and Charles Henault dit Canada, and to this day from the 1700s some of my cousin’s last name has been Canada since the 1700s. People with Canadian passports don’t make them Canadian. Indians from Indian don’t integrate or intermarry. They impose their culture on the rest of the country. Get rid of them all.

I immigrated to Canada in 2020 during peak COVID. I lost my job working in the Middle East and I had my PR so it made sense moving to Canada for good. I’m a chemical engineer who worked in oil and gas for about 10 years in the Middle East. Once I landed in Canada, I went to work in Amazon Fullfillment Centre the week after I completed my quarantine. It was hard labor working for $16 per hour in Toronto. I worked for 10 months while working on my qualifications and engineering license. After that I was hired by an oil and gas contracting company and worked as a Trainee engineer after which I was promoted to Senior engineer in a year after I received my engineering license. I moved 4 cities in 4 years for my job. Now I am settled, own a home, got married to my long time girl friend and work at an Oil and Gas company which pays well. What I learnt through my experience is that Canada is a land of opportunities and people respect you for the work you do whatever it may be and do not judge you, all that we will have to do is work hard and improve on your skills. Integrate with the society, donate and volunteer. That’s how new immigrants can integrate. If you aren’t open minded and want to stay as you stayed in your country then you will not develop and it will hinder yours and the country’s progress.
