Canadians must be proud to have Trudeau, a guy with immense big balls. Not small fish caviar like in Donald Trump's sack.\nGreetings from Austria and respect for not let your country get bullied from the disgusting Trump buffoon.\nTrudeau is a hero!

Under normal circumstances I would be the last person to support our Liberal party; especially Trudeau. His past record speaks for itself. However, his talk today to the American people and Trump actually made me feel proud to be a Canadian. It was the harshest language I have heard him use towards Trump especially after enduring weeks of degrading talk from Trump in relation to calling Trudeau a governor. I hope that the Liberals follow through with protecting Canadians.

I'm European, but I lived in Canada for a couple of months and actually got to see Trudeau speak live in Parliament. He gave a very different speech that day - a eulogy. I did not think then I would ever hear this man this very obviously pissed off. He's like one of those teachers that don't need to shout to show their students they are in big trouble. I don't know if I would vote for him if I was Canadian, but I would certainly be proud of him right now.

As a Canadian, I am proud to see our Prime Minister answering directly to Trump. Mr. Trudeau spoke like a great leader of our country, we are with him and with every Canadian against an unpredictable predator. I'll support our governments in any actions that will be taken to answer to this attack.

Trump is a loser and going to cost the USA a lot of money. I will not travel to the US and that means I won’t even be able to see one of my brothers who lives there, but I support my country and will do what is necessary.

Donald, and I noticed you refrained from calling him President Trump because he is certainly not acting like a president, Donald is siding with our enemies, snuggling up to a malicious dictator rather than taking a stand for right and for the common good. He has absolutely no reason to impose tariffs and is actually breaking legal agreements to do so, but we all know that Trump believes he is above the law. If you like this speech, go and listen to Premier Ford of Ontario as he threatens to tariff all the energy which flows into the States or even just cut it off. Nobody wins in this war, certainly not Americans. But Elon and Donald don't care. They are filthy rich and will just plan chaos and world domination in their sandbox while everyone else in the USA takes the hit.

Gotta disagree w/ Mr. Trudeau on one point, when he says Trump is 'very smart'--NO. Otherwise, Trudeau's speech was spot-on, and I love and respect Canada even more now. Most of us Americans cannot be proud of our country; we are held captive by a wannabe dictator and his stooges who are self-serving, vindictive, and UNpatriotic! To gather some semblance of sanity, I am taking the family on a Canadian Rockies tour in late spring--am tempted to not return home again.

Who convinced Trump of this? I like him but this trade war against Canada isn’t the way to go, really. I feel Canadians were mistakenly targeted. US needs allies not foes. From Ukraine with respect. A few decades ago our school hired a Canadian as a native speaker to teach us some spoken English. He was not very smart and made some grammar mistakes here and there. But what surprised me is how on his 1st day he tried to make a joke, smth. “We, Canadians, have nothing to apologize for, except for Celine Dion”. He startled to giggle, searching our faces for a sign of approval. There was none! We love Celine! To this day it astounds me how many Canadians badmouth their great singer or their own Prime minister. What is wrong with you? Like every Canadian I’ve met kept saying many unpleasant things of Trudeau. You should be proud of your prime minister the way you are proud to be Canadians and slow down on insulting him!

I am not the biggest Trudeau supporter at all but he makes me proud to be Canadian. Canadians will band together, we will get through this.

It's much like during COVID-19 when you were there for Canadians at every step, every turn with initiatives and concrete help. Too bad we cannot procure masks and vaccines to ward off Trump-25. You, your Ministers and Premiers are working so hard trying to reason with a lunatic addicted to power and chaos and inform Americans of the facts. With prorogation, there have been no Poilièvre shenanigans to waste time on and your complete focus has been, as always, on protecting Canadians. For this I thank you again and tell you how much you will be missed in our household. Forgive a personal note: I hope you and Mme Grégoire will find your way back to each other when you can be a family without the heavy burden of this job, a job I know you love. And very personally - I shall miss the handsome, capable, well-spoken man of stature and intellect who also happens to be my Prime Minister. Vraiment!

Let Trudeau stay if Canadians are so proud of him. Trump is bringing back conservatism, resilience, hard work and merits back into US culture. And its no doubt conservative people can bear hardship far much more than woke people.\n1 week into the tarrifs when the reality hits hard, Canada would be on the streets. Negotiate before the tarrifs kick off... This fight would be counter productive for both sides, but Canada would suffer 10 times more.
