Mr Trudeau - you are 100 % right .... I have been a citizen of the USA for my entire life of 67 years.... now I really wish that I was born in CANADA where people are compassionate and not in it ONLY for power and money. I am embarrassed to that I am a citizen of the USA (WELL... THERE'S A FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING !).

As an American. I don't think it was a good thing to bully other countries, especially allies and neighbors. There are other diplomatic ways to do things. I am not left or right, but I felt like Obama and Clinton had better ways with international relationships. I know our leader are trying to do their best for us Americans, and well we have been helping other countries for decades. Maybe, it is time that other countries start paying us back. I don't know why every move has to be on the media though? Especially the bullying with Zelensky? They could have talked over it without showing it to the whole world. What do yo guys think? Was that even necessary?

As an American, I am so embarrassed… I cannot believe everything going on. I’m disgusted with that orange man, his cabinet. I want to throw up every time I see politics right now. What shame. ?

It's really funny watching him try to reason with Americans as if they're civilized individuals. I guess he's doing the right thing by being tactful. But reasoning with Americans is a waste of time.

Blistering speech? Literal propaganda. I’m praying for leftists to learn how to spot propaganda. It’s so mind boggling. Trump makes speeches thousands times better yet Hes “incoherent”. If trump cured cancer they would say “cancer rights matter!”

last time he did it everyone complained but biden kept the tariffs and nobody complained signaling to trump that he was right, the real trick is to call it a trade war then they can both raise taxes on their citizens which is exactly what trudeau just did whilst making it look like he's st george off to fight dragons

As someone on the right of the political spectrum, I never thought I would ever agree with a word that Trudeau says.\nAnd yet here we are. He's right. Absolutely right. \n\nAnd time passes. Where we are today might not be where we are tomorrow. Ok, go and shit all over your closest friends. But understand that the world can change very quickly. You might one day need that friend.

your farms need the 80% of the pot ash they import they are really going to feel it soon. they wont plant the seed if they cant fertilize properly then theres 60% crude oil imports at 10$ a barrel, not anymore and 30% soft lumber. thats just the tip ? for those that are cheering this on still enjoy, trump gave us 30 days and we used that time to sign new deals without you. mexico's president was right 7.5 billion people on this planet outside of the u.s.a. we dont need you we can just go on trading and doing business with each other and move forward without you. Robert De Niro’s statement on Donald is perfect. \n\n “I’ve spent a lot of time studying bad men. I’ve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty. Yet there’s something different about Donald Trump. When I look at him, I don’t see a bad man. Truly. I see an evil one. Over the years, I’ve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he can’t quite pull it off. There’s such a thing as “honor among thieves.” Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong. Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story — but — they have a moral code, however warped. Donald Trump does not. He’s a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself — not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his “friends.” He has contempt for all of them. We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego. We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership. We tried to warn the world in 2016. The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination. Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags. The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior. That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse. Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously. So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America: This is our last chance. Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator. And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided. So what do we do about it? I know I’m preaching to the choir here. What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls. We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice. Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them. Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect. Let’s not talk about “democracy.” “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it. Let’s talk about right and wrong. Let’s talk about humanity. Let’s talk about kindness. Security for our world. Safety for our families. Decency. Let’s welcome them back. We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.””

Did they MAGA? No, so let's move forward from this, America! We ALL need to agree to be American 1st. Our safety is at serious risk, but we can still get the train back on track, if Congress can ALL agree to put America before any other internal disagreement. If The SCOTUS and the Judicial System will do the same. It isn't too late, YET. It's time to right the ship and our allies will support us, if our people will stand up, against the harm that this Administration is doing to ALL of us, as a whole. It's leaking hate into every aspect of our country. We're inundated with it and it's spilling out, into the world, affecting our standing.\n\nWe need an Administration where we can have normal disagreements and figure how to resolve them....find HOPE again. I'm tired of feeling despair. America, be the leader of Democracy. Keep your word!\n?⚪?

I'm an American whose ancestors came here in the 1700s. I apologize and I did not vote for Trump who should have been put in prison a long time ago. Everyday he does something against our constitution. Even an idiot gets it right sometime. But he is not a complete idiot. He is an evil savant.

We have a corrupt government that has full responsibility for the Shit Show. Our corrupt government has been a corrupt government since the beginning of America and it's time for them to be exposed and I'm here to do just that. I'm Victim of District Supreme Court of Kansas and Government, Google Irene Pacheco vs State of Kansas, the only Mexican American in history who took the State of Kansas to the District Supreme Court of Kansas the District Supreme Court of Kansas: Violated my right to sue my employer the EEOC gave me, the Federal Judge signed a Pretrial Judgment for 100K, lost wages and the return of the lower paying job I worked for to support my 2 daughters, Falsified Federal Documents Tampered with Federal Records Deformation of Character Mental Anguish, Obstruction of Justice, Bias, Abuse of Power, Denied a hearing, Not informed that my case was moving on to the District Supreme Court of Kansas. The corrupt government underestimates the intelligence of the American citizens and I made history due to their corruption, I'm here to be their worst nightmare. The corrupt government is corrupt on all levels.

I canceled our familly trip to US because of risks caused by erratic administration that can decide any dumb thing at any time thus jeopardizing our tour and money. One of our son is deeply disapointed but he understood that risk is way too high right now. We will redirect to a EU member state for better security ? Unless the current administration return to business as usual, there is no point into changing mind for the next four years... Way too risky?

I’m an Indigenous American here, I say if Canada was really our friend then they would understand that they have been taking advantage of our countries kindness for too long and it’s time they step up.. If us trying to do something good for our own country for one time instead of everybody else and it’s a problem like this then maybe we weren’t friends anyway.. That means u were only friendly bc u were taking advantage.. \nPlenty of other countries has decided to pick up their own slack and it’s time Canada and America and the other countries start focusing more on their own citizens.. \nThis man is ready to send Canadian soldiers to die in Ukraine right now for something that has nothing to do with them and now instead of negotiating an agreement it’s all about relation and hurting your own people to get back at others over something you took personally..\nI always liked Trudeau but if that’s how he feels about our country then that’s how we feel about his.. \nwe don’t care about Canada anymore except justing Bieber and Linus media group.. everyone else can go lol..

First time in my whole life that I'm proud of Trudeau... Again I've always hated is way of governing...This is the speech of a real leader...\n\nPlease realize that Poilievre is a JDVance with the view of the orange orangutan... Be careful cause they have the SAME agenda! (Abortion and women's rights, etc...)

OUR REPUBLICAN/MAGA GOVERNMENT, Not just our Government, it is the ALT-RIGHT. If it were American Socialism or even moderate democrats we might be better off. Cause America does socialism and democracy pretty well when given time and access to equity in an array of voices represented.

Any chance the US can become the 11th province of Canada? So ashamed and embarrassed to be an American right now. So impressed with the dignity and clarity with which you spoke. In sharp contrast to the vague, sweeping and hostile lies of our “leader” every time he opens his mouth.

Trump is whacking friends and helping adversaries. Couldn't have put it better myself. It's idiocy. Putin is having the best time of his life and regime right now.

We Americans have been mistreated by Canadians for a long time especially in Quebec. Hunters and fishermen who travel there have been harassed because we are Americans. Trying to whine to us and turn us against our government is futile. We, the vast majority of Americans have voted President Trump into office to do exactly what he is doing. Protecting our rights and businesses by forcing you to play fair. He will accomplish this whether you like it or not. The trade imbalance will become fair and balanced. I would ask your Countrymen to think about our offer of becoming the 51 st state. If not, you will undoubtedly realize that you need US more than we need you! Good luck not starving to death

My friends would not have it where I paid them $5000 and they paid me $1000\n\nI don't even want to hear your lies Trudeau. You are calling Americans stupid right to their face. \n \nBecause only somebody really stupid would agree that America paying Canada three times more than Canada pays America is honest or the way it should be.

Gave out right fa tories to Canada and Mexico whole industries to help them along and the sacrifices was like a participation trophy.\n\nBring it.

That’s right stand up for your country president Trudeau. Donald Trump is a big ass liar. I have been to Canada several times. And I know for a fact it’s gonna be very very very very hard to bring drugs up out of Canada to United States. Canada is a wonderful lovely country. You’re doing right not to deal with a evil man. He’s just using the Tarniff law to try to put extra money in his pocket and they trying to con the other countries out of their money.Lying to the American people make them think it’s another reason why he’s doing the Tarniff law . He’s a habitual liar, and a con man and a thief.I wouldn’t do no business with him at all he cannot be trusted. If a man will betrade his own country he will betrade anybody. Who ever in United States they pick up a gun or try to hurt the Canadians any kind of way it’s a damn fool. In the truck started a war with Canada with him in office I would rather fight for Canada then fight for him

Trumps own words, “Vote for me, you will never have to vote again!”
\nThis one is showing up on several pages. Make up your own mind.
\nThere is something rancid in America, a slow, creeping rot that smells like cold McDonald’s fries, aerosol hairspray, and the unmistakable musk of a country too sedated to recognize its own hostage situation. For years, the idea that Donald Trump was compromised by Russia was dismissed as paranoid fantasy—just another wild-eyed conspiracy theory, another overblown headline in the endless saga of American political dysfunction.
\nBut now, two former Soviet intelligence officers—Alnur Mussayev and Yuri Shvets—are saying it outright: Trump was recruited by the KGB in 1987, groomed as an asset, and remains under Russian control to this day.
\nAnd the worst part? He’s already back in the White House.
\nThat’s right, America. You did it. You walked face-first into the banana peel of history, slipped, and fell straight into the arms of Vladimir Putin. Trump was kicked out in 2020, spent four years plotting his comeback, and now he’s returned, like a bloated, orange cockroach that just won’t die. The Kremlin’s favorite stooge is running the country again, and this time, he knows exactly how to stay in power.
\nIf you think this is just another round of the Trump Show, you’re not paying attention. This isn’t politics anymore. This is treason. This is foreign subversion. This is a God forsaken coup in slow motion.
\nLet’s break it down, nice and simple.
\nAlnur Mussayev isn’t some Twitter conspiracy theorist with a tinfoil hat and a podcast. He’s the former head of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee, which means he knows exactly how Russian intelligence works—because he was part of the system. And what he’s saying should make every American’s blood run cold.
\nAccording to Mussayev, Trump was identified, recruited, and compromised by the KGB in 1987 during his first trip to Moscow. They saw him for what he was: a narcissistic, greedy, attention-starved buffoon who could be easily manipulated. The KGB flattered him, promised him business deals, and planted the seeds of political ambition in his empty little head. And from that moment on, he was their man.
\nBut Mussayev isn’t alone. Former KGB major Yuri Shvets said the exact same thing in 2021: Trump was cultivated by Soviet intelligence because he was an easy mark—too stupid to realize he was being played, too egotistical to care. They saw him as a useful idiot—a man who could one day be nudged into power, a walking, talking Trojan Horse for Russian interests.
\nAnd now? The plan has worked. Trump spent four years in office weakening America from within, got booted out, and now he’s back for round two.
\nIf you had told the American public in 1962 that a Soviet-backed asset would one day sit in the White House, they would have burned Washington to the ground before letting it happen. But today? Nobody seems to care.
\nThe media treats this like just another wacky subplot in the never-ending Trump reality show. Congress is too busy fighting over meaningless culture war nonsense to do anything about it. And the American public? Exhausted. Numb. Checked out. Years of scandals—Russia collusion, Ukraine blackmail, classified documents, tax fraud, sexual assault, an attempted coup—have fried the country’s brain like an overcooked steak at Mar-a-Lago.
\nTrump has done the impossible. He has committed so many crimes, so openly, so brazenly, that none of them matter anymore.
\nAnd now, with Mussayev’s revelation that Trump is an active foreign asset, we have finally reached the point where the biggest political scandal in American history is met with a collective shrug.
\nThis is how democracy dies—not with a bang, but with a goddamn eye-roll.
\nThis is the part where the skeptics start clutching their pearls. “Oh, come on,” they say. “If Trump were really a Russian asset, wouldn’t there be more proof?”
\nTo which I say: Are you blind, or just willfully stupid?
\nLet’s go through the evidence, shall we?
\nTrump spent his entire first term doing exactly what Russia wanted. He attacked NATO, calling it “obsolete” and threatening to pull the U.S. out. He tried to blackmail Ukraine into manufacturing dirt on Joe Biden, because weakening Ukraine helps one man and one man only: Vladimir Putin. He pulled U.S. troops out of Syria, handing power over to Russian forces. He picked fights with Canada and Europe while cozying up to dictators.
\nEven now, in his second term, he is more openly pro-Putin than ever. He has made it clear that he will not protect NATO allies from Russian aggression. He is actively dismantling America’s alliances, just as Russia planned. And while Americans scream at each other over whether Target should sell rainbow t-shirts, Trump is quietly selling the country to the Kremlin.
\nAt some point, you have to stop calling it a coincidence and start calling it what it is: treason.
\nThe United States is running out of time. If Trump serves out this term without being removed, America as a functioning democracy is finished.
\nThe media needs to wake up. Enough with the “Trump fatigue” excuse. This is not just another scandal—this is the single greatest infiltration of American power in history. Journalists need to dig into Mussayev’s claims, demand declassification of intelligence files, and treat this like the national emergency that it is.
\nCongress needs to subpoena Mussayev immediately. His testimony must be public, and every document he has should be reviewed. If there is proof that Trump has been compromised since the 1980s, the American people need to know.
\nThe Justice Department needs to stop pretending that Trump is just another politician. If there is evidence that the sitting president of the United States is working in Russia’s interests, he must be removed from office and prosecuted for espionage.
\nAnd the American public? You have one last chance. This is not about Republican vs. Democrat. This is not about taxes, gas prices, or whatever nonsense outrage is dominating the news today. This is about whether the United States remains a sovereign nation, or if we spend the rest of the century as a Russian client state with a golf course.
\nThe sheer volume of Trump's corruption, the blatant nature of his crimes, the mountain of evidence that should have ended his political career a hundred times over—none of it mattered. He survived it all, not because he was innocent, but because he drowned the country in so much scandal that nothing stuck.
\nBut this time, it’s different. If Mussayev and Shvets are right, this isn’t just another chapter in the endless Trump circus. This is the culmination of a decades-long Russian intelligence operation to install an asset in the White House.
\nThere is no coming back from this. If America lets Trump serve out this term without removing him, then the United States as a democratic republic is finished. The country won’t collapse overnight. There won’t be tanks in the streets. Instead, the destruction of democracy will happen in slow motion—buried under lawsuits, propaganda, and corruption so blatant that people stop caring.
\nIf America lets this happen—if Trump is allowed to complete his mission—then Putin wins. The West crumbles. And the people who could have stopped it will look back, years from now, and wonder how they let it happen.
\nGood night, and good luck. Because if people don’t wake up, America is going to sleepwalk straight into its own funeral.

Gosh I miss this kind of conviction that the US leaders used to radiate when talking. You don’t need to be in politics to know what’s right from wrong. Just listening the the Prime Minister talk fires me up, more than this clown that we have for president ever will. Canada’s doing it’s job, it’s time we do ours and stand up to this corrupted government. WAKE UP!
|

Those so-called American are lefty. You lost the election. We have the right president for the right job. In times like these, America must fix in-house before helping other countries. Canada needs to fix their house, too. As someone who visited Canada many times. Believe me, you are not that America friendly.

I know I will get attacked in the comments for this, but I grew up in the US watched many presidents come and go, and I have never seen the country that I live in turn so corrupt and evil in my life we have been lied to by our president. A man I did not vote for and it almost feels like it is turning into a fascist regime. I think it is time for me to leave and move to Canada because at least they know the difference between right and wrong. my family, a long time ago fled from fascist Germany and came to America because back then it was the land of the free it terrifies me to know that my family ran from that only to end up right back where it was before in the future my prayers go out to every American citizen and hope that you all rise up, right and left and independent and do what you can to get this dictator out of office. He’s only been in there not even two months and look how bad everything is already. United we stand divided, we fall.

Mr, Trudeau prime minister, I am glad that you are standing up to trump do what is right for your country do not allow this, man child trump push you around, stand up take a stand do what is right what is just, your people who voted for you deserve it, show the world ?? that integrity, honestly and the rule of law still matters, let the world see trump for what he is, and I say to the other leaders do not be afraid to do the right thing, a good leader loves his people a good leader protects it's people , silence ? at this point in time is not acceptable, when you see tyranny speak up i asked my father ounce what makes a man, i could see in his face that he was thinking about this question very hard and he turned and looked at me and said, a man will stand up for what he believes in,no matter the price, and a real man will always protect those that can't protect themselves, for this is the mark of a real man and gentleman, i have never forgotten those words that he spoke to me, and I believe that this saying also has religious implication as well, after everything is said and done it's not the voters that are going to judge you in the end it's god and he is going to judge you on his standards not MAGA

What a shame... That guy, who violated American law several times, now is going to start fightings against all the neighbours and allies. \nI can't get it. This country is a light of human rights and democracy. I can't believe that it can be possible.

I have always been a proud American citizen. My paternal side of my family has been traced back to the Mayflower and I have ancestors and family that have served in the Revolutionary War, the American Civil War, WWl, WWll, Vietnam, the Gulf, and Afghanistan. This country has made many mistakes and has had much shame throughout its existence for various things but this is the first time and U.S. president has turned his back on our friends and allies in favor of an evil authoritarian leader named Vladimir Putin who strokes his massive ego and gives him elusions of power and respect from Putin when in reality Putin is playing Trump like a fiddle. The New York Times was not right. Donald Trump is not a bright guy. I stand strongly with my friends in Canada ??.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
You know why there are no trump supporters (yet) in the comments here telling you why trump is right and Trudeau is wrong? Because right-wing propagandists haven't had time yet to tell trump supporters what to think of this speech. Give it a few days, and then expect a bunch of ignorant, foolish MAGA clowns who can't think for themselves to be here regurgitating what they were spoon fed.

Boo boo, don’t care. It’s time that the countries we support show some love back. In our time of need we are getting ghosted but everyone expects America to just to attention when there is a conflict or someone needs money. No one cares about our financial needs or our battle with the cartels and illegal immigration. Then screw them. If they want to leave us high and dry because they like the old way of doing things, aka syphoning off Americas wealth, then they can get ghosted right back. I know this will get hate because the people who support CNN are mostly trump haters, but oh well. There’s gonna be a lot of pain before the soothing comes because of all the damage that’s been done. My heart goes out to those suffering, you’re not alone, we’re all in this hoping for a better America.

We apologize to Canada for our third rate education system that produces morons who don’t understand fear-based politics are rarely backed by facts. Use the right buzz words, crime/drugs/money and the sheep will line up every time, guaranteed.

We have just listened to a true statesman. Thank you, Mr Trudeau, just for being on the right spot at the right time.\n\nI hope that our new government in Germany will act as wise, polite and considerate as you seem to do it.

CNN, why in the world do you waste our time telling us what we just saw and heard? Anyway, I'm very nervous, if not down right scared, to watch the United States devolve into a fascist regime. It feels terrorists now hold our government hostage. For the first time in my life, I'm embarrassed and ashamed to be an American.

As a patriotic proud Canadian. This goes to show Canada what time it really is. It's time to develop our nuclear weapons systems. We have a right to defend ourselves like the USA and all other countries who have nuclear weapons to defend themselves. Canada being the first country to build a nuclear reactor in the 1950s , it's time we take our defense for our nation,as it shows we cannot trust our neighbor. Just like Poland, Hungary, Austria, France couldn't trust their neighbor Germany.

As a German and a European i think the best bet of the free democratic Nations of the world is to ally against this. New Conferderations must be formed or old ones must be refomed. but clear as day is that, only together we can stop the immenent redrawing of the borders accruing worldwide as the Russian aggression and the allingment of the USA government with them, is proof to all Autocrats that now is the right time to Tackle such Ambitions. Im verry frightened about the future.
