Punjabis r okay in okay in my opinion but indian and Hindus will eat up Canada and Canadian now....is it too late for Canada now??????????????????? Many Indian and Muslims from other countries says they go for study or work visa and after reaching Canada,UK, France, Australia, Germany, Ireland they destroy their all passport by thselves and stay there permanently, is it true?????

Dont cut immigration down.....tell me how did Indian intl student makes up about more than 80% out of all international students. Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? Why didnt the immigration look deep before giving student visa just like a snap of a finger and see if they can support themselve for school and living expense. \n\nI am an immigrant myself but when i decided to come to canada as a student. I made sure i had enough funds to sustain myself here in canada for 2 years until i can get my work permit then a head to PR. Nowdays I see a lot of international Students get access or abusing goverment facilities and benefits for which not entitle for them but Canadian residence only (PR or Canadian Citizen). I never ask for Cerb when covid happen, never ask food bank my part time job can fullfill that, paid my fare for using transportation, paid my rents and utilities on time and paid my credit cards. Lastly i never complaint focus on my study and I get good high paying jobs. I am proud to contribute to Canadian Economy as an Immigrant.\n\nThe question is are they doing the same? If you cannot sustain yourself dont add your burden to the country. We (Canadian Residence) paid heavy taxes from our sweat to cover ur burden and debt. Put yourseld in our position and you know what I mean.\n\nCanadian Goverment is too nice compare to other western country go and take a look at the US, Australia, British, New Zeland and Europe Nation. If u cannot sustain yourself do you think those gov at given country will give a care abt you? If indians do not go for study in usa , canada, Australia, yes very soon they will close most of the coleges.. this is true. It is better send back indian students, it will be big beneficial for the indisn economy.

As an Indian myself, i highly respect the decision taken by the Canadian government since sooner or later this decision was gonna be made just like in Australia. These borders are opened to study further, and eligble people only should be considered to get permanent residency who would contribute the foreign land with good skills like Doctors, Engineers, and so forth, not just for menial jobs. For the sake of an easy citizenship, there is a huge trend to go Canada for Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis. They are not ready to upgrade their skills while studying abroad, and return home to contribute to thier own nations, while they just want to live there, yet still complain we face unemployment. Some of my nation students, unfortunately, don't even know how to speak English properly and pay a huge amount to their agents to go abroad. This is a good decision for them, but a sad decision for those who genuinely want to study in some good courses and wanna get into white-collered jobs.

It also takes away from from Canadians getting into Canadian colleges and universities as the international students get charged higher tuition fees. More money for the universities. Canadian students end up going over seas. I have a few friends whose kids tried getting into medical school here but were refused. They ended up in Australia, in medical school and are living there now as doctors. We could have used them here.

It’s very easy to go to Canada and Australia as compared to other countries. I have personally seen a lot of people around me, who were the worst students, scored the lowest and wouldn’t have made a decent career in India, let alone get a decent job, go outside and do extremely well.

Seriously Indians don't come to Canada or Australia (the situation is exactly the same). The economies are going backwards. Good luck finding a place to live. The cost of living is sky high. You will struggle to find a job and will most likely end up driving ubers. There is far more opportunity in India. Stay home and build your own country instead of running off to someone else's.

This is little to do with ( Indians) , as an ozzy, we have had 3 consecutive years with the Einsteins in office letting 3 times as many immigrants into the country, Whilst we have a housing crisis. It is a fact that Australia has become a rich man's playground with most housing in the vicinity of 500 K to 1 million AUD and over in most parts of the country. They expect by protesting and disrupting our business that they will somehow get our leaders to stop the war in Israel. \nBenny Netanyahu has made up his mind that killing his people was a really bad idea, and he is going to get every last bad tooth out ! Despite what our despots say.\nThis has pissed the normal swagman in the streets off no end ! Eastern countries culture will never be watered down, yet we aren’t allowed to keep our westernised countries. I have no issue with being a multi-cultural country (Australia), however I take issue with multiculturalism. Immigrants of the past, would move to a westernised country and adopt the culture, lifestyle , mix with the locals and be proud to be one of them, that’s a multi-racial society. Multiculturalism on the other hand is Muslims and Indians etc that are known for not assimilating, instead living in enclaves and recreating their home country within our country. Why should these people who have zero interest in our culture , people and way of life be welcomed into our westernised countries where all they care about is using our resources? It’s absolutely absurd our governments allow this to happen! In Australia, Indians are the second highest intake, soon to be number one. There are so many of them, soon Australia will be India and Australians of all nationalities will be the minority in our own country. They buy up all the food businesses in the area, and fire all the non-Indians, they take up all the jobs in IT and low paying jobs due to being cheap labour. In teams, they ostracised the non-Indians on the team. Aussie suburbs now look like parts of India with them having multiple local fb networking groups where hoards of them take over the local park, playing their music loudly on the weekends. Ignorant people see them as mild mannered, they don’t see the dangers of how racist they can be to non-Indians and how rapidly they take over areas. When they become the majority in Australia, the non-Indians are going to be pushed out of their country. Unlike other migrants (with the exception of Muslims) they refuse to blend in and co-exist and become Aussies. They plan to overtake and destroy our countries into versions of their home country hell holes.

This protest won’t help the current students but it will help the Indians to understand that they should go with Australia or other country now…

Students may be studying in Canada.. But the Canadian govt should not give citizenship.. I am Indian .. so I am worried about our future.. Many intelligent people from India are going out to other countries like USA, AUSTRALIA CANADA for a higher salary... They should use their intelligence to build up India... They were born in india so they should work for Indians , not for other countries..

I living in Australia in Sydney and we are not bad yet but I can see we going that direction . To buy property the price tag cost around million dollars and more ? and everything going more expensive ! It is even difficult to find renting property \nAs results the homeless is growing and going to be worse !

I have worked in Australia, Europe - UK and Germany before moving to the US for my master's degree and worked there for many years. Then moved to India and then to Canada. If you are a tech worker, there is no country in the world more accepting than the United States. Period. \nIn US, people respect your talent than what ethnic background or linguistic background you have. People are more tolerant and accepting, and even let you go up the ladder. Thats why many Indian CEO are leaving US companies while Americans don't mind. \nEuropeans and Australians are the most racist people I have encountered, who have little to no empathy even towards highly skilled workers paying heavy tax in their county. \nIt is better to work for your whole life in the United States on work visa, than living in Australia/Europe/Canada as their citizens.

Well if you coming to Australia from Canada, remember Australia too is part of the Commonwealth and our head of state is the same. Australia is the safest country with friendly animals like Koala bears you can cuddle. So if you do come, bring ya togs and ya thongs and use the sunscreen spf 50 we sell here. I moved to Australia from Canada over 20 years ago. After the draconian lockdowns and being forced out of my job by j mandates, I've wanted to get the hell out of this country. Since Labor won all state elections and the federal election, things have taken a serious downturn. It's a big clown show. The state government here in Victoria, home of Dictator Dan, has racked up such a colossal debt that there's just no way out of it. They're raising taxes and making up new ones as the go along into the abyss. There's nothing here but a big real estate bubble and when it pops, there will be tent cities all over the place. The government created the problem just like in Canada. They increased the population by 1.6% in ONE SINGLE YEAR with immigration and now there's not enough housing to meet demand. The lockdowns took all my savings and a chunk of my superannuation to just survive, and I was robbed of over a year of earnings by the government. I've been stuck in this massively over-priced hovel for 3 years longer than I had planned and now would be lucky to even be in the top 20 picks for a rental, at twice the price. It's only a matter of time before the job market implodes due to business closures and the all around terrible climate in which to start new business. I want out, but the prospect of returning to Canada is beyond depressing. Everything that drove me out of Canada in the first place is 10x worse now. My other alternative is UK but I don't feel like going to prison for liking memes about Keir Starmer on Facebook, so UK is out of the question. Not to mention that it's economically doomed and has a worse healthcare system than Canada. There are lines around city blocks to get into a GP clinic.

I left 1999 and returned 2223!!! OMG! It sucks! This is not the Canada I know. I'm here for my son who is going thru cancer treatment. He never wanted to leave Canada. My other son left for Australia & my daughter in Boston. They will never return!!!1 in 5 ....no fam. docs. Emergency is a nightmare. Most docs are young immigrants who are in meds to fulfill family dreams....dismissive, perfunctory, no critical thought processes etc. Housing sky high....I tell everyone to leave!!!!!

Exact same thing happening in Australia. The process of wealth creation is being massively distorted by housing. House price speculation has become the go to path to riches - encouraged by the gov vs sustainable and society benefiting wealth creation via higher productivity or entrepreneurship (disincentivised via high tax rates). It's not a sustainable model so eventually something will break - think we're getting to that point (ps I'm leaving)

If you can move to the US, do so. While there is tension down here, it is by far the freest nation. Look at Europe, they're going down the fascist route, same with Australia, NZ. And Canada unfortunately is entering that realm whereby your rights are going to be extinguished. Even with a change of government, when you are beholden to an inbred, foreign crown, it gets harder and harder. South America is no different. Don't kid yourselves, places like Costa Rica sound like an idyllic place but there is crime, poverty, nasty insects. Moscow on the other hand is not bad, it's like the 1980s in the US there, sure the infrastructure is sub par and they do have crime but aside from the proxy war going on, it's an option if you are of Russian decent. Your best bet is still the US, if you can wait the years, pay all the fees, jump through all the hoops, unless of course you are an illegal, non-white and a potential Democrat voter.

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)
