I’m a little late to this video but have a lot to say. As a Canadian of Indian descent, I have always avoided Brampton. There is a stark difference between Indians from Brampton and those of us that are from other cities. This situation is out of control mainly due to JT but also colleges that have setup feeder international schools that cater just to Indian students. I’d imagine Chinese students have something similar to this as well, they’re just more quiet. \n\nA lot of the comments come off as offensive but it is what it is, There are too many of my ethnic people here and they’re not assimilating let alone intending to do so. Chain migration is another problem as it brings in an older generation that has no desire to learn English. Crime is having a runaway effect because of the environment they come from, fights break out at intersections, parking lots, backyards, front yards, etc. This is reckless and embarrassing for all Indians, especially us Punjabis. This goes unreported because of how vindictive these people are because of whichever town/city they came from. There are also rumours that these female students are home wreckers so there’s another layer. \n\nMy solution: \n1) Stop immigration, these people are giving our entire community a bad rep when we’ve worked so hard to get to where we are in this country. Return to skills based immigration, not WEF-based. \n2) Cap the international student populations tied to the census - this opens up opportunities for international students from ALL countries and walks of life. \n3) International students cannot be allowed to work - Canadian students First, Canada First. \n4) After graduation, give students 1 year to find a job in their field of study. If they can’t find one, send them back and learn skills and then that’s their only back to Canada. \n5) if they do make it to immigration, we need a better system than just a simple memorization test - have them demonstrate their command of the English language, look at their value added and potential for the future. \n6) Conservatives need to be a part of the solution. A lot of the comments are just complaints and complaining will get these folks voting red vs voting blue each and every time. That guy commenting about no temples in Timmins will just push these people to the liberals and this is what JT is counting on. We need to show these folks what being Canadian is about so that they leave Brampton and assimilate. I’ve introduced countless folks to Pierre and have changed their outlooks, y’all need to do the same. Show them that they’re being used by the liberals and that’ll get them going, cause no one wants to be used. \n\nAs always, TNC reports it as it is and that’s what I’m here for. Thank you!

You never forget immigration if you send them home and if you can't send them will never vote him out of office

You go to an expensive city and the cost of living will be higher. If your goal is to send money home, living in a very expensive city to pinch pennies isn't the strategy. Consider Edmonton or a small city that can meet your needs and long term goals. Think of the long term goal and do the math before immigrating to Canada.

No city in Canada welcomes immigrants. Send em all home

Canada, no longer has Canadians, but has become a country filled with residents. The biggest impact we now see is money made here by immigrants is leaving the country. Generally, every dollar made and spent here generates another 8 dollars in a healthy circular economy. If immigrants also can't afford new homes, they'll just send money back \nhome and leave asap!

This present government makeing great mistake to bring huge amount of international students specially from south Asian poor country Reuther then rich country. More than 25% disappeared from the institute other 35 to 40 %study on line without attending in institute start looking job to manage their expenses and tuition fee and sending money to their parents in back home. Government need to thing very carefully to stop this type loophole before bringing international students in this country. This is malticultureal country bringing from all over world as a same ratio not specific few countries. Students work permit must be stop on mater any argument or requist ,questions . Canadian here. Canada is a pointless sh!thole. You might as well move anywhere else, like 31% of new immigrants do. Rampant street crime, businesses are little more than fronts for organized crime, homelessness is on the rise, food, clothing, shelter and fuel are unaffordable, your average citizen pretends it’s not happening, unions are corrupt as hell, as are universities and the government. All the hallmarks of a decaying, braindead, decadent civilization are there. Women are mostly little more than worthless whores, men are mostly debauched fools if not homeless, we’re plagued by censorship, surveillance, CIA-type dirty tricks, transgender mania, an inability to think clearly, and magical thinking. Plus the healthcare system no longer functions or even gives a damn. \n\nIt’s little more than a slave state swirling the drain. Our government makes decisions such as sending millions and millions to Ukraine in order to promote a pointless war, get the better part of a million people killed whilst making sure people at home are deprived of the basics.\n\nOur government officials have maggots infesting their skulls. I can see that most of your video was centered around Toronto (or Ontario). Other provinces have other, or additional problems. I feel sad to see immigrants coming to Quebec and being forced to send their kids to french school even if they speak english at home. 99% of jobs require knowledge of french. I feel sad for people coming from countries where the only 2nd language they know is english, but somehow I see them trying.

It is the stupidity of the Liberal party and its leader the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that is being manifested. Anyone with sound education and some common sense would have thought that having the needed infrastructure for the immigrants in place before unilaterally sending them invitation on the social media. He found it more benevolent to extend benevolence and grace to wannabe Canadian immigrants than look after the welfare of Canadians who are suffering and needed help. We can’t lump all immigrants into one single group. But there is one group that are admitted I find repulsive. This group have no intention whatsoever to become Canadians. That is to stay, work, raise family, integrate into Canadian culture and be contributing citizens of the country. This group would spend the minimum required time to become eligible for Citizenship, park their dependence here, utilizing all our social services, including health and education for children. The head of the family then returns to the home country to earn money without paying our taxes as they are deemed non-residents. At retirement age, these non-resident “Canadians” would return as retirees to claim our social services , including “free” healthcare. There are at last count approximately 250,000 “Canadians” in Hong Kong, I am sure there are a lot more in other countries. Whenever there are political or war trouble these people would scurry back, sometimes even demanding Ottawa to send airplanes for them.\nI don’t believe in “a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian”. You are a Canadian only if you fulfill the responsibilies of a Citizen.

Because the fact is a lot of immigrants are here for refugee status purposes and they always have planned to return home. It's like with Ukrainians. Many of them are here until they feel it safe to return home. Duh. Others are here to work and send money home to help their families.

Hi Lynn, this is a very interesting conversation. I moved to Canada in 2003 went to college and became a nurse. First of all it was not easy paying for college I was lucky that husband was supporting with the bills as I went to school. So I would say that I have skills that are very marketable. Our combined family income was over $100,000 CAN. We mortgaged our first home which was very basic for a LOT of money. We had our kids and we had to struggle with childcare as most young families do. By North American standard, we were doing good. We each had a good car ( loaned), we made trips to Kenya every so often but in 2016 we decided we wanted to move back home and we sold our home and we did. I HAVE NO REGRETS. There were several things that made us reach our decision. First, I truly believe that for the Canadian system to work as it does, it has to entrap its residents. Even after 10 years of work we did not have money in the bank. Everything we owned really belonged to the bank. The light bulb moment for me came when I evaluated my net worth. A primary school teacher in Kenya after 10 years of work with good financial management will own a plot, a simple house and will start to invest for retirement. After 10 years of work, there wasn't much in the account, our house would need 25 years to finish paying mortgage and to be honest there wasn't much to show for those years of work. Quality of life really sucks the amount of stress will definitely send you to the grave sooner. This is the case for most first generation immigrants. You might say you are sacrificing and building a future for your children but, my observation was since our diaspora children have not grown in Kenya to see the need for money and what life really looks like without the comforts they are used to, they do not have the same drive as the parents so they often do not excel they are just ordinary. There is also the struggle of growing up as a minority group. A lot of our children because they are seeking acceptance will struggle with self esteem, will have depression or will join the LGBTQ community where they get sense of belonging regardless of their colour. The morals are also different from their parents and they are shaped by the society they grow up in. When I looked at what my life would look like if we kept living there, lets say we eventually pay off our mortgage, when we are old and requiring care, our children will not be able to support themselves and support us because they have to work to sustain themselves so we would to move to assisted living or nursing homes. The cost of senior care is not covered by the government unless you have no money. so we have to sell out home which would be old and outdated but still very expensive and we would have to pay $5000-$10000 per month depending on the type of care we need. so as you can see if we ended in a nursing home for 5 years we will have depleted all the money we made from the sale of our home. So by the time we die, we would not have money to leave for our children. So we worked really hard, supported the economy, and die leaving not much at all for our children, we sacrificed our quality of life, and ended up with children who don't think much of themselves or have very distorted morals. I still remember in my mind as we drove to the airport on our way back to Kenya, I thought of the story of Lot. He was pretty successful in Sodom but I'm very sure on his death bed he had lots of regrets why he ever went there. I know its tough being in Kenya but if you have a job or any way to make ends meet, be like Abraham. God will bless you regardless of whether you are in the dessert.

Our 1st priority is to take care of our homelwss veterans. These immigrants shoul be last on the list. Biden is failing our Americans who need help & resources. Men & women who fought wars & terrorist to secure freedom for others. Yet the govt. is putting immigrants 1st. Seriously are they coming to study or finding a loophole to gain immigration. Crying doesn't help all International students know before hand what they are ending up in, its a rat hole. 90% of the students do not even have money to support themselves then why do you come here. They enroll in colleges but are seen working either under the table cash jobs and sending money back home. We Canadian's have had enough of these sad stories. Please don't come to study. Get your PR the right way do not use short cuts.

As a second generation Nigerian immigrant (parents were born in Nigeria and I was born in the US). I 100% agree w/ his perspective. I’ve spent consider amount of time in Nigeria w/ my side of the family that’s doing well and the other side that aren’t. Aboard should only be for people who have no opportunity back home as in they have tried everything and nothing worked for them. If you are doing well in Nigeria, try and give birth to your kids in the US so they can retrieve citizenship. There is no reason a successful person back home should sell their things and move aboard even for kids as you can send them aboard to receive an education and help them gain citizenship and from their they can file for you. The amount of systemic racism, odd jobs you will have to work (God forbid you don’t have a degree and you move aboard for non degree purposes that’s when aboard will show you pepper), cost of surviving is expense here especially now as inflation is high. It’s just not benefiting especially if you were better off in Nigeria. However, this shouldn’t stop you from coming just know that the road isn’t easy and some places are worse than others. I’ve never been to Canada but have been to the UK and by far would advice anyone from back home to avoid UK at all cost. Not even sure how Nigerians are even making it there lol (it’s a never ending cycle of poverty plus citizenship is very difficult to gain and the discrimination in my opinion is much worse than the US. UK society has a class system and it only really empowers British people. The UK is so bad that they even discriminate against Eastern Europeans that should let you know a lot.) Also why do you think most Brits Nigerians come back to Naija hoping to secure job compared to American Nigerians and let me tell you it’s not because the UK is close to Nigeria, there is a true lack of opportunity. There are more opportunity in the US and possibly Canada compared to the Europe.

Utter chaos and they will demand amenities and get housing, SNAP and TANF. This is anarchy and Biden needs to send in the National Guard! Our schools are being overpopulated by immigrant children who get special attention from assigned teachers to teach them English and translate language. In Chicago undocumented persons can now become police. Imagina a non US citizen pulling you over for a traffic citation, he/she broke the law by sneaking into the USA but now can be sworn in as a cop! Charity begins at home but our politicians sermingly care more about undocumented immigrants than American citizens.These governments are neglecting their citizens and are enjoying the fact that citizens from Latin America are draining our economy.

The system is not broken - the primary goal of US immigration is to keep people OUT. Canada has an abundance of natural resources and living space, and needs people. The USA already has an abundance of people. As this video shows so clearly, billions of people want to come, while unemployment continues to be a problem. So, while the immigration system is far from perfect, it accomplishes its primary goal of filtering out the most qualified and most determined people and sending the rest back home, thus keeping jobs available for American-born citizens. We can disagree with the goal, but not it's success.

Only immigrants which have a Medical PROVEN disability should be allowed to to immigrate into Canada !! PERIOD SHUT OUR DOOR TO ALL OTHERS including the last 8 yrs. SEND ALL OTHERS BACK TO CUBA OR IRAN TRUDEAUS HOME BASE!!

Stop giving home to these immigrants and make room for our own people that are homeless seriously sending them back is the right thing to do and what need to be done ?

Lack of affordable housing -- lack of housing in general -- is the main reason people already living here are being priced out and why so many refugees and immigrants cannot afford the cost when they move here. When these people come to Canada for a better life and/or to escape the suffering that they were living in, they cannot bring their homes with them. It is the government's responsibility at all levels to ensure that these newcomers have a place to go when they come here. A homeless shelter should not be the answer. Buy up office spaces and convert them (if safe to do so with whatever codes need to be met) into affordable housing units. For years we've been seeing hundreds of news articles about vacancies in office buildings being at all time highs, yet only a handful of them are being converted. 500,000 people a year entering a country where there isn't enough housing for them (let alone the people living here already) is irresponsible on the government's part. If this is your pledge, at least give these people a better life and not send them to shelters or onto the streets as soon as they arrive. If Canada is to truly be a safe haven for immigrants and refugees escaping their hardships, it's paramount that the government does what it can to make these people actually feel like their life will change for the better. I'm all for immigration since it helps the economy and knowing that Canada can put people in a better position for themselves and their families, but it's the lack of preparation from the governments that makes me question their pledge in this way.

Immigrants have more “rights” and “programs” to help them succeed and contribute to the American society than those born here. Problem is a large percentage aren’t coming here to seek a better life. They work and send everything home for their families to live better in that country. Or commit violent crimes and burden the state even worse. If a politician supports a vetting process then they are deemed “racist”. Fact is America is moving backwards. Won’t be long before you see crowds like this trying to get out.

This is deplorable and it’s going to destroy our country in so many ways. First, our social, educational, and criminal systems cannot absorb this many people all at once. We have enough people immigrating here legally. We don’t need all these illegals flooding over.\nThis is all Joe Biden and the Democrats’ fault, for not doing anything for two-plus years, except inviting these people to come here. These people get benefits, free healthcare, welfare probably, phones, and they shouldn’t. They should be told to go home. They should not be given a court date and then released into the United States! That’s ridiculous. They should be loaded on a C-130 transport, retrofitted with seats and shipped home. The majority of them are not going to show up for their court date. I think currently, $250 billion gets sucked out of the US economy every year, due to illegal immigrants all sending $50 each, per month, home to their families in their native country. The worst part is, many of these women coming across, are going to have a baby within a year. That baby, who by law is automatically a US citizen, becomes their key to citizenship, because once that baby turns 18, he or she can sponsor his parents to become citizens and also sponsor other family members. For instance our super duper friendly neighbor Mr. Lu-Juan who just moved in to a 1/4 million dollar home with his new family, is reminding all of us on the block nearly every day how lucky he is, he constantly brags and goes on about his awesome free benefits, he say they are awesome, right ... He always saying “hay amigo, I have no debt, no credit cards, and I don’t even have to work”. Even though if you ask me or anyone with two working eyes, the children are definitely not his or hers, they receive huge tax free cash payments regardless if he works or not ever because he has a learning disability, I guess you know he’s been as he says, but I have my life in prison. He was telling me his family of five all in with a free housing voucher, food voucher, smart phone voucher, electricity voucher, transportation allowance, 100% total coverage for much needed dental care, the best of all they receive a gargantuan $7400 a month in cash benefit allowance for the entire family. Although it’s kind of sad that my friendly neighbor, Mr. Lu Juan Jesus Garcia-Mendoza briefly states every single time I see him as always kind of rubbing it in, that he sends back $5,000* every month to his other wife and kids? ????

Why not set up a program financed by their home country and ours to get them physically and financially healthy to work or start businesses in their home country? The cost of living is so low for them that they could afford a future of prosperity or middle class lifestyle in their country of origin. Force their governments to change economically to sustain themselves for their interests. Imposing themselves upon a nation no longer prospering as it did during and after the Industrial Revolution is senseless. There is hardly any upward mobility in blue collar jobs, ever more so in the labor market. If they are not making $40K/year (assuming the majority has not a college degree in something marketable, advanced skills, a tradesman or artisan) then they’re struggling like everyone else in the service industry. Jobs for teenagers, entry level workers, part time jobseekers like for students, people needing extra income cause it’s so expensive in CA, NY, Austin, TX, Chicago or SF living off work entry-level service jobs. Technology has created a shortage or labor gap between unskilled jobs. Jobs that Americans need while pursuing training or technical degrees for the new skilled jobs. \n\nImmigrants do not need to fit the stereotypes of working in the service industry or as farm workers. American citizens can fill these labor positions quite easily. No, immigrants, work visa or not, do not work any harder, smarter, slower or faster than anyone else wanting to work. If someone is motivated to work an unskilled labor job then they will be just as effective as the next person. The HR for these companies definitely virtue signal and satisfy diversity quotas every time they hire someone due to their work status or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can be replaced and so the question is, who do you, as an employer, want to replace the job vacancy with? Gonna hire cause they are a good fit or because your helping some politicians cause? Gonna grant asylum cause their lives are in danger from a government firing squad or because Biden/Harris will pat you on the back? \n\nThere is reason to illegally enter this country and it is disrespectful, disgraceful, dishonorable, dishonest and disheartening to the ones who are here legally by going through the process like everyone else paying time and money. Even Christopher Columbus paid to be here, no one handed him a free ticket to ‘paradise.’ The Mayflower patrons weren’t met with resistance by the indigenous community, they were harmonious. If there was a border in Maryland at Plymouth Rock, I am sure the Puritans would stop there first to get their passports stamped. Who will stop this unfettered invasion by cultures that have no respect for our norms, mores, & way of life?! I live in a city neighbourhood that is immigrant central & can say confidently from immediate & personal experience that the majority here are not fleeing anything, popping from country to country to grab money & send it back home then, when they have enough, they retire back to their homeland. Most have no respect for private property nor for any of the norms of a polite society, they don't even wish to learn our language sufficiently to understand & respond. Most of my life I supported immigration but not this way, not with zero oversight. All political parties support it for the sake of getting more votes but the Liberals are the worst.

I was born and raised in Canada. My family immigrated in the 70s. Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. If you go to a walk in clinic you risk getting a doctor that seems like they paid for a fake degree.\n\nYou know when you go to a mall in one town and then hear about a mall in another town that has really cool different things??? Ya, not here! Everything is monopolized! Same stores everywhere you go. there's a mall in Toronto called Vaughn Mills mall, when I was in Calgary they have an exact replica just a different name. Small businesses are hard to keep because everything is so expensive. There needs to be more indoor things for people to do in the winter. \n\nWhoever said Canadians are polite, has never been to Alberta!!!! I've never experienced racism in my life like I did out west, not just Alberta but also Northwest Territories and Manitoba. \n\nOn top of that they want everyone to be gay and not believe in God, they push the agenda so hard in the schools, they institutionalize and confuse your kids. If you believe anything different they literally hate you. The children are hypersexualized...teenage girls looking like they're 30 year old drag queens. They bully kids so badly in school, especially boys. Parents have no time to get involved because they're busying working multiple jobs to pay for their 4000 dollar mortgage, husband and wife barely see each other. And because they're not involved the children have no respect for their elders or teachers. the teachers don't care to get involved like they used to because everything's a liability...a problem. We had a 13 year old girl call a male teacher a pedophile for pushing a little girl on the swing. He quit on the spot, because now he's worried for his career. Kids have no shame anymore. \n\nIF YOU WANT QUALITY OVER QUANTITY (WHICH YOU MIGHT NEVER GET), DON'T COME HERE! or, Come here and send all your money home but don't educate your kids here unless you have enough money to put them in private schools and there are good private schools. If the only thing you want out of your life is freedom, freedom to just be left alone and no one hounding you...you like being alone. I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

Why don't all the nations like US and Canada try to help fix what is happening from the places these people are fleeing, especially if they are murder capitals? They can recruit these migrants to form coalitions to rebuild their nation. What if they are really are going to suffer there, without outside intervention, by being recruited, instead, into gangs or be killed or raped? If we send troops to the middle east for our vested interest, then don't we also have at least some vested interest to send troops in Honduras and El Salvador? We can prevent the entire population from migrating, prevent people from being exploited and hurt while traveling or living illegally and the taxpayers and citizens won't have to pay for court costs, education, healthcare and welfare. There are plenty of things our nation can do to uplift our own destitute and out of luck an alone citizens...with that money. With the money now saved, it can be diverted to cover the costs of our troops, counselors, educators in those nations. Then it is possible and foreseeable to reunite all the undocumented immigrants back to their now safer home countries. I understand why they flee and also understand why the US and Canada cannot absorb these large population of people, and they have the right to determine who is invited in, so....why can't there be more permanent solutions? I feel, certain pathetic political groups are playing these migrants, the law-abiding citizens and others in their game of chess. Lives are not pawns for chess. Is there a hidden path for drugs, money, prostitution that is being quietly supported? Are certain businesses lobbying in the millions and billions to get cheap labor? Is that why this problem is not finally being solved but kept alive for so many years? There are basic solutions that have not been tried in earnest. You cannot just bring everyone in and you cannot just turn your face to the problems these undocumented people face... I feel like much is not being discussed about this situation....Something else is going on that they are not covering...

All of this could have been avoided by coming in the legal route. Send them all home now. Only vetted educated people who speak English should be considered for legal immigration.
