Trump supports a dictator who lets children and babies die and wants to wipe out an entire country. He is opposing all of his allies for Putin. Putin will get money again. He is sacrificing parts of Ukraine and Putin has no need to fear punishment. Many countries were allies of the USA. We fully supported the USA after September 11th. People in the EU also died for you! I liked the USA very much, I spent my vacation there but I will not do that anymore, I will no longer buy American products. A dictator is being supported here and all our help to Ukraine for the past 3. years will be wasted! Trump will also restructure the USA so that he is the only king and no one controls him anymore. Canada (and many other countries) spent decades supporting the maintenance of US hegemony. Look what it got us? To a position where we're pretty much greatly dependent on, and at the mercy of the US. We need to invest more in our own country and make our own products. We should also trade with other countries regardless of what the US thinks of those countries. Trump wants Canada to put tariffs on China in the attempt to further impede that country's economic growth so the US will remain the economic hegemony. Never mind that a trade war with China would put Canada in an even worse position. Given the current events, I say we trade with China even more!

That being said, I do agree that the crossings from Canada are not nearly as significant as compared to our southern border. It would be nice to see more from Canada in their investments to secure the border and stop crossings, cartel movements, and drug operations. The US has spent more than 409 billion since 2003 on such operations. Regardless, I feel for you Canadians and it sucks that it has come to this and I hope we keep strong relations in the future. Hopefully we can come to a fair deal soon. Mexico and China are the big players that do not do nearly enough to prevent these crimes. In fact, the Mexican government helps the cartels by not trying to stop them. China's lack of regulation on the ingredients to make fentanyl contribute to a large extent to this tragedy as well.

Those of us who did not vote for Trump do not want this either. My last two out of three vacations were spent in Canada. I hate to see our friends treated this way. Don't think we all agree with the way Trump is governing.
