Of course there should be rejections! You people move abroad drive up inflation and cost of living, where it is near impossible for the actual citizens of that country to adapt. Not only that, you come abroad on student visa's and find loopholes in systems to stay longer than you are required to and apply for permanent citizenship. You've ruined the sovereignty of many once great countries such as Canada, United Kingdom and Australia, so what did you expect? Along with the rejections they need to start deporting people back to India also.

I having a hard time understanding the migration north for a free ride. The jobs here are short and people are just starting to get back to work from the pandemic. Not enough work here to support millions of more people. If the migrate would have stayed in there country and got rid of the corruption and made their country great they wouldn't have left. Got News the streets aren't paved of gold. Worked all my life to get were I've got and what I've got isn't much!

I am a UK citizen. I find it strange that Indian nationals claim to be 'proud' of their country, yet they all want to move elsewhere (UK, US, Canada, Australia etc). If their country is so great, then why do they want to keep going to other countries? And then there's the bureaucracy for those who want to visit destinations such as India. If India wants to impose endless paperwork and procedures to other countries, then it should expect the same. India was the one that started the childish tit-for-tat behaviour when the UK and Canada were restricting visa applications during the pandemic, so therefore India banned e-visa applications from Canadians and UK citizens. If India wants to behave like this, then why can't other nations? The UK is full of Indians who come here and don't want to integrate to our way of life etc, hence it's better for everyone if they just stayed in India.

Thank you so much for this. In spite of being born in Ontario, I learned a lot about Canada! My entire family was born and grew up either in Toronto or in the then-small towns closeby. My father moved us to upstate NY in 1957 when I was 9 years old, me kicking and screaming all the way. I was devastated to be leaving Canada, and now at 77, I've decided this life-long yearning to return to my birthplace has to become reality. I've started the process, hoping I may gain some points because I'm a former citizen :) . I still have lots of family in several provinces; people I haven't seen since we were children, and some of us are great-grandparents now. The problem with here is also with Khalistan issue (of course not all Punjabis there want Khalistan and are absolutely chill people and people here in India, Punjabis, also don't want Khalistan, I have some close friends who are Sikh and are most Dildaar, Big-hearted, people I know). Over the years Indian government has warned Canadian government about this issue constantly and after years of housing these Canadian terrorists (because Canada calls them their citizens and protects them, what else can be the correct term for them and nothing like Khalistan exists) they've started to cause problems for the people already living there (like the terrorists Pakistan was housing are causing problems to them). They know they are not gonna get a Khalistan in India so where else are they gonna build it? Voila! Canada! This is the reason behind them not assimilating with the existing culture.Trudeau has even gone to lengths of calling Amit Shah (Home minister of India) and PM Modi (if you don't know what the heck are you doing here go study geopolitics a bit) unalivers of Hardeepsingh Nijjar WITHOUT any evidence (they just keep saying they have it but have shown nothing till now) and because of which Canada has worsened its relations with the Indian Government. They are even comparing India with the likes of North Korea in terms of threat. Indian Government in reply is giving Canada the same treatment it gives to Pakistan (a bit better of course, but the diplomacy has gone to sh it. And the reason why Trudeau is doing all this, yeah VOTES for sh itty domestic politics he's sacrificing long term GOOD relations with the Indian Government. Now, you may think that worsening relations with India is a good thing for Canada, yeah no, its not good because India has trade relations with Canada which may worsen due to this (yeah, great going for an economy which is already in shambles) and UK or US are not gonna do anything to India over Canada because India geopolitically has more significance than Canada (I'm not bragging, please don't misunderstand). This rant has gone to a very different tangent but yeah a lot of problems Canada is having is mainly due to their government. If they get deported, that is going into immigration records and when that gets pulled up when they apply to come back it will likely cause any legally efforts to return to be rejected. And who knows how long that will stay in their system? Could be years, could be permanent. Biden’s idea to help those undocumented who are married to citizens to be able to apply and get a temporary visa to stay here while they wait so that families wouldn’t have to be broken up by having the applicant return to their country of origin. That was not just a great idea from a humanitarian point, but they could apply for a job that wasn’t going to take advantage of them by paying below minimum wage, with no rights if they are injured. That could help bring local wages up. They would start contributing back by paying their fair share of taxes, and do on. Ohhh if it was her own child I’m sure she wouldn’t be saying that’s ok.., there are many like her out there. They get those papers and they think they work for the White House. If she would’ve visited Mexico and had a kid while visiting and didn’t have the money for a green card it would have been a completely different situation. For those just because you got your papers do you not think that there are people that came here as infants or kids to immigrant parents that came to work to provide for their kids it’s not that easy to get your green card it cost thousands of dollars. Many immigrants that I know and worked with including myself, I came here as a refugee. Immigrants are the hardest working people I know. Canada, you need to WAKE UP. Ive visited toronto and montreal for the nightlife scene and it was a blast before they started coming in mass. Cultural diversity is great but this is basically taking over a country without a single shot being fired. This silent invasion of mass indians needs to stop. My daughter is nearing the end of 2 great years in Canada on an IEC (backpacker) visa from Australia. She’s loved the people, the landscape (mostly lived in BC and Alberta) , and working there…. She picked up interesting jobs, worked very hard, just about made ends meet, has been great. \n\nShe was even offered a permanent job by a major Canadian co last year (she was working for them on a one year role at the time) that would’ve paved the way for her to apply for PR…but she turned it down without a second thought….. for all the reasons you would know about \n\n- Wages aren’t great (maybe 20% less than australia), \n\n- taxes are high (incl having to pay CPP…in australia the employer pays all pension contributions, on top of wages), \n\n- groceries prices out of kilter, \n\n- rents consume most of what’s left…. \n\n- AND, even if you could save a deposit for a house, or shoebox apartment….what’s the point, could never afford it. \n\nShe’s seen nearly all her Canadian friends resigned to their fate of being perennial renters, of being perpetually skint. It’s no life. She’s sad to see it - coming from a country of perpetual optimism and opportunity, to learn over time how such a (on many levels) similar country isn’t like that, that has somehow got it all so wrong. \n\nIf you are thinking of “australia” as your answer, it’d be a fair call\n\n- Avoid Sydney if you can (a less expensive Vancouver) but rest of the place is “workable”. \n\n- Average wage in Perth is $100k (C$90k) and average house (full size…not an apt or townhouse) price is about $700k (C$630k) …so do-able, if tight to start with, for youngsters (like you..!) \n\n- I’ve been to Vancouver’s East Hastings St, and so can confirm is nowhere close to that in Oz. i'm 75, born and raised in vancouver. the downward spiral in canada, imo started in the early 2000's. personally i'm doing ok, but young people today do not have things that i had access to. in the early 80's my wife and i bought a big beautiful house in a great neighbourhood in maple ridge for 73,000. my wife took a year off from work and we did fine on my wages. today, a working couple struggles to rent an apartment and buying a home is a pipe dream. for housing, the government opened up the border and too many people came here in too short a period of time and the real estate nightmare started.

They think that they're talking to a recruiter for a college, when in reality, it's a travel agency. It's sick how Canadian colleges have exploited the weaknesses in the system, and the government has allowed this to happen for so long. Your immigrants adventually expand your tax payer base so you can enjoy all your great benefits. Wish I could come to Canada and get away from the Mad Man trying to run for President down here. I worked in a retail store with where Indians shopped regularly. They were the very rude to the sales helps. They talked down to us and they were the worst thieves the store has ever seen. Our regular customers started going else ware because of this problem. I'm afraid Canada is no longer a great, desirable country because we have aloud it to be taken over by the east indians. It is the governments fault but is is also the fault of the indians because they have not adapted to the Canadian way of life. They want us to adapt to their way of life. Please close the doors to any further indian immigrants or students . Go back to India if you don't like what Canada wont do for you.. I am a senior citizen and it makes me sick to see what you people have done to my country.

I am living in Canada right now and I agree with all the points mentioned however,\n1. As a lady I feel safe, no one judge me for my clothes, no one stare me disgustingly and no one consider I am his private property to assault.\n2. I feel safe when my kid goes outside to play. People here follows laws strictly. Vehicle stops even at signal allows them to proceed, always I repeat always driver signals me to proceed.\n3. I feel happy that my husband is valued in his office and much appreciated. His seniors credit him for his hard work and everyone here encourage us to have proper work life balance.\n4 I agree we pay high tax but atleast we are getting benefits in return. Public libraries, transport system are top notches. \n5. Banking, health care, all government facilities are very systematic. We were not even aware we have completed 18 months in Canada and we received letter from government stating very soon my son's child benefit will start. We didn't even enquired about it. They processed it automatically as per our arrival date.\n6. And lastly, we celebrated Independence Day here in Calgary, it was great event and all officers were protecting us. I clearly remember while dancing , huge Indian flag dropped down by a toddler and one Chinese officer,he picked it up and gave it to nearby adult.\n\nLife is valued, humans are respected,laws are followed here so I don't regret my decision of migrating but yes, honestly I do miss India as well and I am proud I am an Indian.

So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Starting out all over again makes my stomach sick, and I love this country, despite it's flaws and its government, it has great people and beautiful nature. \n\nBest wishes to all of you other Canadians, and let's make it the Canada we want and deserve again.

I am 45yo and from Brazil. I visited Canada for the 1st time when I was 12. I fell in love with it. Decided I would live there some day.\n\nTen years ago I returned with my wife. The idea was to show her around and see if she was onboard with my plan. She loved it!!!\n\nI am the kind of guy who plans ahead (military...). Our plan was to get papers in order and apply for residency so we would move there around 2025 or 2026.\n\nOur plans started to change about 5 years ago with all the madness that came to Canada during and after the 2020 flu season. \n\nWe recently got our permanent residency elsewhere with better climate, great food, lower costs and much more freedom. \n\nWe are moving next year. \n\nBut Canada taught us that one has to be paying attention to the signs. It all changed so fast in Canada. \n\nBut it is still a beautiful place. I just do not intend to call it home anymore.

If you are here ILLEGALLY you get deported. What part of illegal is unclear? Stop weakening our country with unscreened and unnecessary migrants. I saw how an American company bought out my Canadian Aerospace company I worked in. Moved company headquarters to the States and replaced all the brass with American’s. Complete takeover and control. Then started moving different divisions to the States and laying off multiple Canadian workers. Basically dismantled a great Canadian Aerospace company that was a world competitor.

There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter. It’s because of behaviour like this Canadians are hating international students from India .?. The 2022 -2023 batch on international students are a disgrace not saying g all of them are bad just most dont come to study just a back door into the country they see one of there family members went to Canada and they should to ?‍♀️. There was a polling conducted and most Canadians want less immigration from India . Canada is not as big like America . Having so ma y people come in just puts a strain on housing, who would think that people from a hot country would want to go to a cold country…. Just go to a wormer country . Many Indians aren’t even thinking about coming to Canada anymore look for other countries. Or better yet stay in India ??. If you have money you can live a really good life in India . Taxes , are high , homes are crazy expensive , car insurance is high , people’s are getting there cars stolen don’t see the benefit really coming to Canada . And most Indians already own there own house in India so way come to Canada and in India you pay very small taxes as well .?‍♂️ and at the end of the day white people are so racist towards Indians know they look at you like you are the reason there life is messed up ? make India. Great ????. America only has its military going for it it’s such a racist place to live as well . Canada talks about how great their health care is but when you see the wait times and how they have less doctors not so great . Canada and America are only great if you are already rich but if you are poor or middle class life is a struggle. I came to Canada in 2016 worked in IT until I had enough money saved up moved back to India and bought land and built a house just started buying more land and when I had enough moved back to India . Us Indians can be successful anywhere so way not be successful in our country. And Japan is the most technology advanced country more than America even . America and Canada are just is just over hyped…… and there people are so racist to our people so way would I want to stay in there country ?‍♂️. And people that will say they want to bring there parents to Canada most of t he time it is cold and they will be inside so it’s better for your parents to live in india. Personally. I have my parents they live in GOA with me they can’t be happier.

I went to Germany for my Masters at one of their top universities, back then (10 years ago) taken in by their great public image and a personal interest in Germany history and culture. Looking back now having also experienced living in the UK, HK and Sweden thereafter, I can understand why Germany has trouble attracting the top talents, or any ambitious individuals seeking to develop their career overseas.\n\nIt doesn't provide the money.\nIt doesn't provide a dynamic enough market and opportunities.\nIt doesn't provide the same type of diversity and excitement in truly world-class cities like London, HK etc. Don't get me started on food.\nEverything is functional but that seems to be the sole standard to aspire to. \nGermans are not the people whom you can bond easily. Sincere and friendly many are, but the amount of effort needed to even crack beyond that shell is ridiculous. In this respect I think most north europeans are quite cold and distant. But working with Germans you need to also handle their 'honesty', intensity and directness on top of that. The lack of nuance rubs a lot of people in the wrong way. \n\nThe Germans whom I met and spent their formative years overseas are fantastic. Invariably none of them would have thought of moving back.

Canada is great if you're young. But if you're older and your health has inevitably started to decline, you don't want to live there. The healthcare waitlists could kill you.

I came back to Canada in 2022 after 20 years living abroad, and it's been a mixed bag. Getting a good job is extremely difficult as international experience is rarely factored into potential employers decisions to hire - even if the companies you've worked for are Fortune 500. If you didn't work for that company in Canada, good luck getting the same position. You'll be working in a junior position despite your previous job title. My wife is currently going through this. She went from Project Manager at one for largest companies in the world to junior developer at a small company. Pay is.......not great.\n\nI've been lucky with having a lot of support of family and friends. A lot of the clients I've started to work with in my profession came through people I know. I never would have got these opportunities on my own in that amount of time. It would have taken years. Nepotism played a big part.\n\nTo come to Canada, and start a new life without a solid support system would be absolutely brutal right now. I got really lucky, but my situation isn't normal. I wouldn't recommend anyone (Canadian or immigrant) to come back right now if they're been gone for a long time. The rent alone is enough to turn anyone away.
