Canada is a country that is built on middle class where a large part of the population are within the same earning range. There are positives to this, less crime, there is not a huge disparity between rich and poor which makes for a more sane environment don’t get me wrong, we still have our crime rate. Now you can see that the professional programs are limited compared to other countries in the universities and highly competitive so that you don’t have so many professionals with high earning power thereby creating a huge disparity. On the other hand, these high earners don’t get a tax return, get any govt cheque, their kids don’t get huge amounts for OSAP instead, they get billed to pay back the govt and that’s how those of you complaining now where able to get govt cheques when you just relocated, support low income homes and newly landed immigrants. There’s free health, good Ammenities, snow is cleared, the roads are salted and de iced, free Education, govt loans and school loans that’s where your tax money goes to. Everyone has an accent that’s your identity why will you feel somehow or intimidated when you are told you have an accent that’s being timid say yes I have an accent it’s African or Caribbean etc. About racism it’s rare never experienced it that’s not saying it doesn’t happen but am gonna call you out if it’s obvious I have been profiled. Yes the weather is harsh did you not look at your map before relocating ?? In all most of these complaints are individual experiences so I won’t invalidate it but don’t trash what you gained from. Retraining and certification is a must especially when you are coming from a certain country and it’s not a bad idea. Am in healthcare and retraining is a must if you didn’t school here cos it’s entirely different talk about work ethics, equipments, software, differentiation in policies, health laws and malpractice laws.\nLook at the brighter side of life and stop complaining migration has its pros and cons position yourself in a place to have a good life, go back to school, get certified, keep retraining and adding value to your certificate.

I'm not muslim, but I've lived and worked in Saudi where Islam permeates every facet of life. I also lived in worked in Malaysia where Muslims make up the majority. Both countries have their advantages and disadvantages. As you have a Canadian passport you're more likely to get a better job in Saudi. No guarantee of that in Malaysia. \nI found the food better in Malaysia, but the food in Saudi is pretty darn good too. \nWinter in Saudi is very nice, at least where I lived in Khobar. However, it is brutally hot for 7-8 months a year. Malaysia is tropical, meaning its very warm to hot with high humidity and rain. \nI can't talk about other countries as I haven't that much experience. Wherever you go, best of luck.

As a Canadian, born and raised, I am much more proud to be a Canadian than if I were to be a U.S. or U.K. citizen, given the way they are regarded in most of the word. I have travelled Europe extensively, Central America, as well as parts of SE Asia. \n\nCanada is indeed expensive and has become moreso because we too easily accept the rising prices, just so we can feel good being a Canadian. Tipping culture is ridiculous, even for bad service, many feel the need to tip 15% because of fear of being regarded as a cheapskate or avoiding offending the service provider. Companies should be paying their staff a better wage where 20%+ tips are not expected for every restaurant, cafe or delivery service. We're helping corporations make more profit by subsidizing their staffing expense. This isn't the case in most of the world. \n\nMy eyes were opened when I saw how you can live an equally good life at a third or less of the cost and I have grown open to the idea of living elsewhere once I have enough money to retire early (I'm talking around 55) and enjoy life without feeling cash-strapped. World class private medical care can be found for prices that are unbelievable and without the multiple appointments and wait times.\n\nI will always be a Canadian first, but there is room for a second citizenship or a backup plan should living in Canada become an impossible place to live or retire, unless you begin with a financial advantage. By no means am I poor, either. I got lucky with both real estate and stocks. Yet, I feel like I am working to just get by, while being taxed well beyond what I am getting in return.

You explained this so well!! My partner and I moved to Canada 3 years ago just as we got approved for H1B. We had to chose between moving to CA or staying there in an uncertain limbo for 2 decades waiting for a greencard. You did a good job talking about the downsides of moving such as a lower salary and higher home prices. We bought a small townhouse for the price we could have paid in the US for a detached house. Many people I know in similar situations leave CA and move back to the US once they get their Canadian citizenship. However, I do think that there are many reasons to stay such as the political climate. The US has become very regressive banning abortions, making gun laws more lenient and it’s not as accepting when it comes to diversity and inclusion (be it POC community or Lgbtqia+) unless you live in a big city which is expensive. These are the reasons we chose to stay, especially if we have kids as school shootings are getting more and more common there.

Most of these issues unfortunately are world wide and not just Canada. Yes everything change during/after the \npandemic. Try and go living in France for example, good luck with that. Lets not even talk about South America \nand a lot of other placesare like that. Happy go get lucky times are over folks, unless the whole system changes\n...or collapses.

I am a Canadian who has a friend who lives in Texas. She is strongly political. I tell her most Canadians don’t talk or care that much about politics. \nI am grateful for our Health care system. \nI find Canadians more quiet and laid back than Americans. \nI don’t like the gun laws in the States. \nLove your channel. I came here 20 years ago from south asia. got my master's degree from Mcgill, started a business with my husband. We are doing well, working hard and having a good life in general. We did tighten our budget, planned our finances to a T. We live in Toronto, contrary to most, people are super friendly and social. Agreed, immigration needs to slow down to a bare minimum and prices needs to be adjusted, but please step out and touch grass. There is no war going on, canadian cities are still one of the best to live in the world. We frequently host get togethers with our neighbours, who are old stock canadians and new canadians alike. We support each other. We have a great community. Step outside talk to your neighbour.

Its highly depressing for parents who come only with love of their children. I believe if you have everything in India ..there is no need to go abroad. Paise ke greed kabhi khatam nai hoti. You get quality of life in canada but at the cost of depression . Weather is so depressive , very poor medical facilities .. no one has time to talk.. poor food with no taste. if you are earning good in india with no liabilities you are the King & can live luxurios life . East or West..India is the best

I am talking to my friends and family back home and they all say, you are in better condition than us, at least you are earning with dollars. Lol what? I spent with dollars too. It’s not like I earn with dollars and go back and spent with 1:20 ratio. And you are spending 2000$ flight ticket to get there which used to get it for 800$ with promotion. They are like everything is 10x more expensive. Everything is 2x more expensive but when you have high quality lifestyle the feels like is actually a lot more. Mortgage rates went up 5 times more compared to the one in covid times. That impacts who has variable mortgage or the one has fixed concerned about their renewal. That impacts on rentals because most of the owners are paying their mortgages thru these rents. You did a Good comparison on salary vs rent that will help people understand.

With all due respect, comparing US and Canada to European in general doesn't make sense(please excuse my words). Compare them to European countries like Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg. And talking about countries with more billionaires, you can only do that on per capita basis looking at the American population as compared to these countries, and with that the statistics has proved that Scandinavia has more billionaires than US and Canada on per capita basis. Countries like Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, France Holland and all those other countries limit you because you're not allowed to work more than one full time job at a time, but in a country like Denmark, the wages are higher and you can work as many hours as your strength can and on top of that you get free healthcare, free education, and a lot more social benefits. So these countries come no where close to a country like Denmark. The language barrier is very valid, but putting in efforts to learn languages of countries like Denmark, Norway. Switzerland is worthy than getting a degree in country like America where inflation is out the roof and debt to gdp ratio is over 90%, having to borrow 3 to 4 billion every month in 2023 to stay afloat.. You need to read more on current state of the US.. It's been predicted that in mid 2024 to the end of 2024 5000 people could lose their job every month due to companies shutting down. This is never a good time to relocate to the States! lol

I'm not Indian, I'm indigenous from Canada and I grew up in Vancouver, where the population is mostly from Asia. Being surrounded by people of asian descent is very normal for me. I don't expect anyone to assimilate and lose their culture to exist here. I knew we had a large population of Sikhs here but I didn't think it was nearly as many as in India... and now I find out there are more sikhs here than in India. Amazing. I also didn't know we had so many Sikhs in parliament, let alone Indians. My school is mostly Indian and everyone I talk to has come from Punjab. Everyone seems to love it here, and the school is in the middle of little Punjab so I've been told by my classmates it is the perfect place for the students who are homesick because they are surrounded by their community. I rarely hear English when I walk down the halls, there is even a course to learn to speak Punjabi, which I want to take so I can talk to the students who don't speak English as well. We have many large gurdwaras, and one near me I've eaten langar almost everyday for the past 10 years. Most people here know Sikhs to be very generous and humble. It was a shock to me when I heard the president of Guru Nanak Gurdwara was shot, because I believed Sikhs to be very kind and peaceful, and the gurdwara has a very good reputation as they take lots of food into Vancouver and feed the homeless. They even opened a kitchen in the DTES during the pandemic to be able to have food available to the people immediately. No one else did anything like that. They delivered a lot of food. Now they have an auxiliary kitchen in the DTES permanently that serves free meals. I thought more news would come out of the shooting but it seemed quiet for a bit until Trudeau accused the Indian government of the attack. This news also shocked me, so I decided to start looking into it slowly. I couldn't really get a good idea of what was going on until I searched a video for Diwali and your videos came up. Okay I have seen some non-sense in the comments section and I think Indian government should stop Indian students going to Canadian universities thereby fuelling their toothless economy by billions of dollars every year. Why can’t Trudeau take a simple stand against granting visa to Indian students if they think they are a major player in this world. The truth is, Indian education is growing and it’s good enough but at this point, most students who go there don’t know why they are going. The people who get caught in such problems are desperate people who are largely lured by a foreign and an exotic life. Looking at the Canadian housing crisis and other practical domestic difficulties, India is a much better nation. It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. I think she appreciates the health care as well with my talks with her over the years. She and I've been thinking this lately that Canadians have either changed or that Canadians are more friendly stereotype is going down .I think with more immigration, the cost of living and frozen pay and higher and higher taxes Canadians are increasing discouraged with politics and Canada in general. You noticed many of the woman mentioning health care and social programs as well? Police... We have a lot here as well maybe more so because of pay. The police are well looked after and paid well here. I think politics are getting more polar and more divisive here as well. The liberals have really really done a stellar job with two terms of sheer WEF CCP hogwash to destroy the country. Another general stereotype is that Americans are obnoxious and unpleasant isn't true as well. I'm in tourism and find most of the Yanks to be friendly and polite and GREAT TIPPERS. Ha many US servers don't like it when Canucks go over there because they're stingy. I think if everything works out without saying more, your country, like it or not , will ultimately start the big liberation finally of humanity hopefully for the better. You folks generally have a bigger love of freedom and you're ARMED. You have the mindset and the LEVERAGE to change the system. I can't talk from a point of experience in Canada but from a point of experience in Kenya. Yes things are tough everywhere but I believe things are tuffer here in Kenya, well unless you have a good job, good business or money to invest. I have done of research about Canada, Germany, UK and even Finland. What I have learnt is that opportunities are there as opposed to Kenya. Here in Kenya it's doesn't matter if you have a skill, or papers getting a job is not easy and even harder is getting a good paying job. Most people makes less 10 CAdollars per day which today 1000 or 30 per month minimum wage in Canada is i guess 14.5 in the less expensive provinces. If you work 14 hours per \nDay which I believe possible you have about uko na 20k in ksh, pay tax of maybe 30% combined you have about 130 cad per day work for 25 days in a month you will have about 3250 net stay in most affordable place(hujaenda raha) you can get 1250 in low cost province (not Ontario or BC though here minimum wage iko juu), groceries and expenses budget 1000 per month you can save about 100k ksh pm, save in Cad for few years stay like a student on the budget but work like a donkey. Come back home in few years lets say 5 with save coins probably CAD will trading at 150 coz the hit shilling is taking mind-blowing. You will have 6m to invest any interest or forex gain use them to cover your vacation here in Kenya yes land in Diani you will have missed such weather, enda masai Mara (you deserve it), go visit your parents and most importantly find an investment opportunity you can do real estate but find ideal location but only if you have enough capital ya kujenga and then find someone professional to manage the construction not sending money to your relatives wanapiga sherehe nazo unatumiwa picha za mjengo za nyumba za wenyewe. The government has released an additional $210 million to help with housing refugees and therefore I think the situation is getting better now

australia is good and i live in Melbourne and have my PR. But the rental market is crazy. Like you won't even get the place even when you are willing to pay higher than asking price, because the owners review every application and decides who to pick. One time, there were 19 applications ! you virtually have no chance. I am talking about Melbourne but this is same story pretty much most places in Australia. The houses are crazy expensive. You just cannot afford to buy in nicer suburbs. The only option is to buy in newer suburbs but they are isolated and lack public transport. Also, job market is not as good as it used to be. Chances of getting PR is also less as compared to Canada..

There is a greater entrepreneurial spirit in the USA, so you can get richer there - if you are lucky. That is about the only good reason for moving there. About 400 school shooting per year in the USA - more than one a day, on average. I drove down the DelMarVa peninsula, and the racism was obvious, and rampant, but Americans I talked to did not even notice! The healthcare thing is another biggie for staying in Canada. I know I would never move to the USA.

My opinion as a Canadian with no first hand life experience in the states but personally know plenty of people who do and follow many Americans on social media.\n\nI like to look at both sides of the story when I don’t personally know any better. First thing is when it comes to health care, Canadians use only the cost as an argument but never the quality. The only time I will ever use the government funded healthcare is for a broken bone. Any other issues my knowledge and experience makes me stay far and clear away from the hospitals. However I was talking with a retired business man who spends winter in Florida and he said he had a health issue while there, was referred to a certain doctor by a friend, made an appointment within a few days, not a yearlong waitlist, and with one visit had his issues fixed. Paid the bill and was done with it. Not a story of take this for a while then come back, come back to get referred to a specialist, wait a few months for the specialist, get an appointment 6 months later, and after surgery you feel only slightly better because in your mind you should be better. I do believe Canadian healthcare is low quality and sadly designed for the government to make money. American healthcare is private and needs to offer good quality services in order to succeed.\n\n\nNext subject is violence. Everyone I know and follow in the states have never had any major acts of violence towards them. I believe just like Canada, some areas are more prone to violence but since the states have 10x more people, they have 10x more violent spots which makes it seem worse. Rural Canada and rural United States seems to me very similar in the way people treat each other. \n\n\nI wouldn’t be scared to move there if that’s what would be best. Doubt it’ll happen because I enjoy having the amount of unpopulated area to go riding atvs, snowmobiles, and whatever else. Yeah, I've been talking to a Canadian over discord for almost 2 years now trying to learn more about the country and what he told me was shocking. Canadian make about 25% less and pay 33% more in taxes then American and somehow a house in the middle of goddamn nowhere cost as much as a house in Portland. If you live in NYC, SF, or LA yeah you can forget about buying a house but its not like in America housing is unaffordable everywhere like in Canada. In Texas, you can get a big beautiful house for 300k, the catch being that real estate taxes is really high and you still be paying that even after the mortgage been paid off. Florida is affordable but hurricanes, Cleveland is really cheap despite a good reputation, and a house in the rural areas is easily under 100k. Canada pretty much have no houses under 300k which is made worse by the fact that they make less, taxed more, investment is harder + more expensive, and it actually hard to establish credit because they don't have looser standard like in the US.

Every month I take a bus up to Juarez and I ride with these migrants, and let me tell you something… they’re not all women and children. About 60-70% are young LITERAL thugs. I almost got jumped by a group of four of them when I arrived to the Juarez bus station for the first time. Canada is pretty good with French immigration, the Middle East immigration and with people that are going to give something in exchange in their view, then all those people take the best and more they could and go back to their Countries.
