I'm sorry, but if an individual is making <$57,000/yr they are NOT middle class; particularly with the current cost of living crisis in Canada. That income level is where middle class begins, so anything less than the $57k/yr is considered lower class. I ve been in Quebec since 22 years now myself ; I am a Canadian citizen since 15 years now of course ; But it’s confusing… Why was Quebec still receiving more immigrants in such program when even thousands of locals were and are struggling to find jobs? For the last 6 years I made a career in Private security ; I became an officer Liutenant at least I tried ; but now a days I don’t even have a job in security anymore ; too many immigrants applying for the same job / and frankly they do not care if the remuneration is only 21$ an hour / so officers can’t afford to work for less than 27$ ; because they have 6 years experience and more : it’s logical / however , comes an Arabic guy ; who quit the job he came here to do under the program , now he is looking for his first job out here in the real market ( does 80 hours training to get a BSP ) the guy had a college degree or university on something else ; and magically he becomes an officer with no experience for $24 dollars an hour And any security company accepts him 🤷‍♂️ Conclusion : true experienced security professionals officers who built their careers from the bottom all the way up Don’t have a job anymore Remember , officers aren’t unionized 🤷‍♂️

Foreign countries and its schools would most likely have a higher standards and expectations foreign students might find more textually challenging and tuition-costly. Immigration or Immigrant Policy is an entirely separate entry into a foreign country vs. based on student's visa, which is timed. I would go back home and finish up school there and earn back home -- visiting other land temporarily is fine, but not live with them full-time. I agree many things, but not agreeing to “ not paying tax”, “not working hard” & “just cross the border illegally”, most new Brampton residents pay high taxes as most work at jobs and payroll money comes after tax. Thank God. As an American in Québec who is fluent in French, these kind of policies were turning this unique province into another boring and culture-less Ontario. Adios and au revoir. Québec needs to entirely focus on francophone immigration. MOST of these « English speakers » in the « important » industries he is talking about are NOT native English speakers. There is a clear lie in that video. Nobody is in Limbo. Mind you there is normal Federal Express entry program still happening. Meaning, that if you get selected through that program, you can immigrate to any province of your choice - including Quebec. You can also still get bonus points for Canadian education (Quebec education does count) and Canadian work experience (if it qualifies). So the only thing that happened was, that one provincial nomination program was ended, that is all that happened. The practical problem is, that provincial nomination does give so many points, that it is a guarantee of normal express entry pull as long as you just meet criteria to enter Express entry. So provincial nominations are suitable for people that might be otherwise struggling with points (older age, less language perfection, les bonus points from education or work experience). For a disclaimer, provincial programs are based on a specific province needs and just because one was opened when you planned to go and study or work in Canada, it does not mean it will be like that forever. If an agent made you such promise, then he was misleading you. Again for those people demonstrating, nothing has changed for them other than one future option was gone. They still have their student or work permit until it expires. They also can apply into Express entry program as normal. On a side note for Canadian trying to cheer about this, be aware, such change can also mean that economy projection for next few years is not the best. so take it a warning sign. Or if we are lucky, it was found that this program was not bringing intended type of skilled worker or was heavily abused.

All these people were just justifying their presence here, because they leveled false allegations of genocide against Canadians. I have less than no sympathy for immigrants after that.

You, Canadians, should've thought of all this when you opened your doors to every Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and so on! It's not too late to stop this wave, though. I lived in Brampton for 25 years, so I would like to weigh in. We definitely have an extremely large indian population here. There are a lot of upsides and downsides to that. Some of my best friends are Indian immigrants, some of the people I hate the most are also indian immigrants. With any large group of people, you will always have examples of exceptionally nice people, but also horrible people. Something I noticed a lot recently is that newer immigrants are a lot less interested in learning about Canadian culture, norms, and integration. A lot of my longtime indian friends learnt the Canadian culture, Canadian norms, and wish to work with Canadians. They celebrate christmas, are respectful and polite, and are otherwise outstanding Canadian Citizens. A lot of the newer problems in Brampton can make it unattractive for others. Lots of loud music blaring, street racing waking you up at 4am in the morning, fireworks at 3am for no apparent reason, etc.

I think very less people have problems with other people who come legally and work legally. The problem mainly lies with the illegal and zero accountability towards that. Illegal immigration destroys culture and the country itself. I myself came to USA thinking I will be learning about american culture and maybe start adopting as well but all I saw was brown people because I was in tech which is widely dominated by brown people and it was very sad honestly.

Here's my life in canada. denied work. As an indian, I feel sad to see that this is Canada, nobody would want anyone's country to change like this. pls deport most of them, they can't even speak English. Only allow highly educated, skilled people; race doesn't matter, even that nurse guy should be deported. My grand parents left in the 40's and 50s, went to the UK and now we live in NZ. There is a complete disconnect between the old and new as well as the fact that assimilation simply isnt necessary because you can access all the culture (music, family/social connetion) on your phone. Previously you needed to integrate in order to survive; now life is more hermetic and as a result less integration occurs out of necessity.

I'm a Brampton resident. My family immigrated in the late 90s. I grew up on YTV, TVO kids, Fox Kids, Treehouse TV. I also still grew up knowing my own native culture and religion. I attend one of these temples of worship. Despite this, I still made friends with different races of people. I think my community needs to branch out a little more and learn about other cultures that live amongst us. Maybe we need to have a little less pride on where we come from? I don't know what the exact answer is. One thing I know is we can definitely get along. Just need the community to adapt more and actually learn Canadian culture. Maybe go see a Blue Jays game at the Skydom? Maybe know who Wayne Gretzky is?? LOL.

There are businesses hiring International students as full time employees, paying less and also there seem to be under the table fees collected from the students. I personally heard from Indian students that I met at work places. I had been a lucrative business for business owners who gain more from the fraudulant international student problem than the businesses themselves. There are lots of small businesses just for that purpose, I believe. This issue have to be addressed from across the isle.

This is an interesting issue. I have lived in both Brampton and Surrey, and there is some real issues with immigration. But the homeless you showed made me think about the other side of the coin, these Indian immigrants would probably do a better job feeding our own homeless if they were aware they were welcome. Things like garbage and stuff, indians have less civil duty because their own cultural issues. But they have a sense of duty of family and community. So we need to hold our goverment responsible for not handling emmigration properly, but also if have compassion and bring these people into our communities as well, then you will feel a new sense of duty from them. Its a tough issue on both sides that our goverments are forcing us the people to deal with
