I am Québécois, and things here are quite different from the rest of Canada. For example, we have a law here that clearly forbids wearing religious signs when in a position of authority. Even a teacher, because they are a figure of authority for their students, could not wear the Roman collar, a cassock, a hijab, a niqab or anything else of the sort while in school. In the streets or any other public place, there is no problem at all. Everyone is welcomed to express their difference of culture or religion in the way they dress or in whatever other way. They are treated with the same respect and kindness as anywhere else in Canada. It is only that the separation of religion and state, and religion and authority is paramount here. Everybody is free and can express themsleves freely. But don't use that freedom to impose your views onto others. \nSo, when American judges are chosen for the federal court specifically because of their christian fundamentalist biases, it doesn't resonate well at all for me or the majority of Québécois. When the rights of the LGBTQ+ community are being questioned or jeopardised. Or a previous federal judgement like Roe v Wade is being overturned for religious reasons... it is a definite turn off for all of the Québec people to even remotely consider the United States as a destination to emigrate to (supposing that one would want to leave our beautiful country).\nMore and more, America, that used to be recognized as the land of the free, appears to be retrograde and restrictive and definitely not so free.

Stop blaming other countries… we need to find our own mistakes… then we have at least little hope to change our mindset….we have habit of blaming others for our own mistakes..if you are not fitting in the rule- regulations of visa process of- course it will get rejected… most people have fake paper work for visas. \n\nSimple example… if someone enter illegally in our country we will call them terrorist … some countries put them in jail according to illegal act… I appreciate that they are sending them back to their own country… actually we should thank them for saving these people future.\n\nMaharashtra took a step earlier when they send UP citizens out of Maharashtra… in their own country they cannot go to other state.. how you think other countries should let them enter illegally n not take any action… I think we should think before saying anything.\n\nIllegally enter people don’t pay tax… indirectly they put so much pressure on health n other systems…we the tax payer bear that cost.. is that fare ? \n\nThey don’t follow rules of country… they behave similar how they behave in India … they don’t follow health- hygiene , equality rules.\n\nOur country more diverse but no equality… still people get priority based on reach- poor or on caste basis.\n\nIn other country any Indian do something exceptional then we say they are Indian… but no one think that they got that opportunity to prove themself because they were in other country… in our country people doesn’t get opportunity based on their calibre… \n\nWe have habit that we go abroad… earn money… get ideas of business n going back to India we say that’s our own idea… no appreciation at all… so many new businesses has got ideas from other developed countries but no courtesy to appreciate others or thank them.\n\nEven our news channels… everything is happening first time in the world… even it happens so many year earlier in other countries….some people they really don’t know n they believe that…. It’s just playing with people emotions… not providing real information… we all are human beings… we need to appreciate each other… \n\nThese countries have some rules n regulations for human beings to develop equality n equal opportunities. Most of the NRI appreciate that as we haven’t got that in our own country.

Honestly, whatever they want to say and your media want to present you but an average Indian doesn't support Illegal migrants, infact they SUPPORT THE DEPORTATION! Yes, Shackles is something that can be used only for CONVICTED CRIMINALS not for civil cases and considered inhumane by Indian law. What these people have to realize is that is that as non citizens you have very few rights. You as a visitor have to have an exit plan. Not us. i'm happy there are people here who agree, but having your voice heard only as a youtube comment is not the answer. do you know how countries in europe managed to get ahead in healthcare? patients went to the press with recorded videos about their experience. and yes, initially the journalists dismissed this as non news, but it only needed one to go with it. and it made waves. now a 2hr wait in the ER in europe is met by the tv crew. \ncanadians refuse to do it. when i came to canada 25 years ago a 2hr wait was normal. now it's 9hrs and still no discontent voices. no politician is running on healthcare, but on cutting taxes and on giving back a few hundred dollars a year back to the families. and most are eating it up! \nbecause healthcare is public, doctors and their union have 0 incentive of allowing more professionals into the system, because they all share the same pie. there are families who do not have a family doctor and are forced to use clinics, even with newborn babies. my family doctor works a regular job, doesn't answer the phone after 3:30 (even though they are open until 4), has 2-half days (one is a golf day btw) and overall couldn't give a F about patients. on that high salary in any other industry, you'd be on call 24/7. \nand then there's housing, jobs, the education system is a mess - more and more people are worried about what these kids are learning and there is 0 incentive from any of the politicians to address the issue.\nand, of course, there is forced immigration. when we came it used to be a merit system, you had to bring in money to prove you won't be a burden to welfare for at least a year. it's definitely not the case now. \npeople look at PP as some kind of saviour, but he's not going to fix anything. usually conservatives are good for corporations, whilst liberals balance their policies with the needs of the common folk. how far they've fallen.
