The whole world needs to come together and call Trump and his team out on all of this nonsense. He’s embarrassing his nation and not doing anyone any good. Think about how many bad things he has done in the last few weeks alone

I think we need to give it time. In a year or two picture should be clear. I don't think tariffs are necessary a bad thing long term if they spike more production of everything or at list anything in US. Short term it would be painful for everybody tho. We become a country of no production. Only consumption is not healthy. It is how every empire behaves on a last breath. Look back in history. Rom, Spain etc.Sooner or later we wouldn't be able to exchange worthless green paper to goods anymore outside of the country unable to produce anything inside the country and we die. Personally I find it interesting and possibly well thought experiment.. Living the way we did last 50 years is not possible anymore. Something need to change and at list Donald is trying unlike those useless talking heads. How will it ends. Who knows. I can only hope for success. In worst case we'll have unending supply of discounted bourbon:).

So, suddenly Canada is suddenly now arresting these fentanyl gangs in large numbers, spending money on defense and patrolling the borders for illegal immigrants with helicopters and ground troops. Why now ? Because Captain Schmuck here had his sorry arse kicked by President Trump. Canada is effectively bankrupt and have been kept alive by the U.S. umbilical cord, and Trump knows that it has to stop as it is simply pouring good money after bad. Our government knew about these tariffs since the beginning after Trump’s election, and what have they done? Zip, zero, nada because they simply have no clue how to deal with it, but to throw the toys out of the cot. That is hopefully set to change soon and, with a proper government in place, then we can start real negotiations.

As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Both countries benefited from having a good relationship and now the great US has no one willing to challenge Mr Trump on this idiotic move, America is alienating themselves from a lot of countries and regular Americans are the ones who are going to suffer from this fall-out, the rich won't be affected but regular working class folks your stress is going to get a whole lot worse and that's unfortunate. Hopefully US wises up sooner rather than later and stop blaming immigration for their problems it's poor governing and politicians that have us looking at each other as enemies rather than humans with the same struggle and issues. They have money to send annually overseas but none to improve the life of their citizens in need, that should tell you something. People that don't look like you aren't your enemies, people who try to harm you, undermine you are your enemies. People are just searching for a better life that's all, the most basic thing humans have in common, change the red tape a make things more structured and rid your country of the bad apples and welcome those willing to work, build and serve God and the country. May God help us all the beginning of Sorrows has begun ?.

Just to make thing clear. Most of us Canadians do no like Trudeau and most of our politicians, like yours in the US they are owned by entities that do not serve our Peoples.\nUS citizens and we Canadian will hurt, but Donald and Trudeau and associates WILL NOT HURT at all in this, they are already multimillonaires, but us commoners will have it tough. Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer. Trump is concerned about the drugs coming into our country and since the borders are affected these drugs will be coming into our country many other ways. You know where criminals go to get out of the US. Canada. Trump is doing this for our country and you can bet on this. I'm sick of drugs in our country killing people everyday. I'm sick of guns but just about every household owns guns. Children are killed in their own homes with guns. Who cares about alcohol being sold in their state. Honestly. People are homeless because of addiction to alcohol. Yeah saying president Trump using fentanyl for this for this trade war was a bad move. President Trump is doing this for the drugs taking over this country.

I am an American and Canadian. I live in America. It is INSANE to me that (from what I hear) people dislike Trudeau enough for him to resign, yet I see him here acting respectfully, intelligently, honorably. Had a very good run at Costco today March 4. Bought all local, Canadian, Chinese and Moroccan products. - Not a single American made product. Since American want to buy American so badly, the stores can return American stuff back to the USA.
