Trump should improve his relationship with Canada, they aren’t the enemy

Canada...Europe is reliable, lets strengthen our relationship, improve trade agreements and don't worry when you hear VAT, that's a consumer tax....something a orange cannot understand ;)

Canada's primary issue is that it is becoming India lite, that is why quality of life is going down. Fix that problem and everything else will improve.

These are issues not unique to Canada. Most people here in Canada don't realize this. Housing is a huge issue, and needs to be fixed. But business investment into Canada is increasing. We won't see improvement overnight, but we are marching in the right direction. \nThe tariff threat is the only looming thing that can really hold us back. With a constant threat of massive tariffs, business investment will decrease.

It has problems though Canada seems overall a much nicer country than America.\n\nI think after say you reach a gdp of 30k per capita, maybe more gdp per capita alone doesn't improve your quality of life that much.\n\nThings like low crime, social services, etc seem to be much more important.

Kudus to you for trying to report as factual as possible. Im also an immigrant (45 years ago). I have long since been assimilated and consider myself as Canadian as anyone. I don't defend or condone your arguments as many of them are spot on but what i do have to say is we as humans are grossly flawed and i don't see improvement only decline. However there is still good left in this world. I believe we should treat each other with respect and judge on an individual basis as opposed to stereotyping. I still deal with stereotyping every day of my life. The real issue is not race it is cultural or rather the unwillingness to assimilate.

Why doesn't ICE just assign someone to watch over all the buses who come to NYC and any buses that come from anywhere within a 2 to 4 hour walk of the border should get re-routed to an inspection facility where everyone on board has their ID /citizenship checked.\nAlso, it might be a good idea to install a border wall in the more isolated areas and clear the land back 50 feet or more on each side of the wall to improve visibility for helicopters/drones. I think many Canadians would support the building of a border wall between USA/Canada in the more remote/isolated areas, and Canadians would probably be willing to help in the construction of it.

Politicians trying to fight against pooicies that actually help improve legal American citizens safety, to protect criminals, are more than likely getting a kickback or cut from said programs that are currently being abused. I'm from eastern EU. I hope EU can make an improved trade agreement with Canada. One that will last future decades. \n\nThey are a reliable partner. Trump's rationale of the border security issue to Canada is totally false as less than 1 percent of drugs and illegals come through Canada. Trump is just being a bully to try to get his way on tariffs for what he thinks is an economic decision to improve the USA. Ponder this, if you could go to a boarder country and get paid 80 bucks an hour vs 35, wouldn’t you try to go. They also like to live with multiple people so things are cheaper, of course it does not improve our economy.

Ignorant Trump supporters do not know that America has always been deporting migrants. In the past decade itself 2 Million migrants had been deported, the maximum number of deportees was during President Obama's second term.
