At 3:03 - If the government wants to mitigate the rise of housing prices, they should ban the purchase of real estate by foreigners.. like other countries do. Allowing them to buy houses, etc, only helps to drive up demand and prices.

Like what does Donald have to do to have him removed from power. He has single handedly killed the USD is starting inflation and driving away allies and befriending Putin. That's not even all of beginning in a matter of 6 weeks.

You people from XYZ are really like the EU hypocrites that all you got is words. As a Canadian, I hate Trudeau and everything his government has done to the country. I want a PM like Trump that is willing go against the entire system(deep state) and dig out all the dirt even though you're in the way of a lot of powerful people and organizations. Out of all the world leaders today, Trump is the only one with that kind of courage. Compare that to Trudeau—aside from his nice suits and polished public image, what has he actually done to improve the lives of Canadians? \nWe need a DOGE go into WHY WE ARE PAYING SO MUCH TAXES. When I was living in Vancouver, I (and many ppl) would just drive cross the border to get gas and groceries because it's just much cheaper once you're on US soil.... For years we cannot retain any talents because they would just migrate to the states because the pay is much higher with less taxes. I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. That is not the case anymore and everything is getting worse in the past 10 years.

First: sorry for my bad english. It is not my First language. \n\nThis speech was remarkable. No lies, no BS, just the facts. Wish we would here the same out of the White House. \n\nAs a german who knows about german history and how everything started back then I'm terrified how fast the United States of America are moving towards a dictatorship.\n\nEvery politician around the free world should be worried about what is going to happen if DT keeps doing what he is doing, which is undermining every treaty and contract the US is having with the rest of the world.\n\nAnd on a personal note: as a child I always dreamed of someday moving to the USA. After beeing there on holiday in 2017 and also driving to Canada to visit some friends, that dream changed.\n\nDon't get me wrong, I still love your country, but you elected the worst President for the second time! WHY??? You could have known what it would be like, everything was reported on by this network and many others.\n\nAs one commentator said: this is not going to end well. And I and most of Europe and the rest of the world are thinking the same and we are afraid of the things to come.

The more people escalate this in the media it brings fear, fear drives actions and many cases like this you are reacting out of emotion instead of logic. Trumps negotiation tactic is working people are trying to flex and appear strong and backing themselves into a corner. Sit down and negotiate.

Trump is a joke but nobody is laughing. Trudeau puts Trump to shame. This is why Canada is respected, while Trump is regarded as a bully and a petulant child who is intent on hurting his friend to impress another bigger bully. The people of the US are most at risk and hopefully will eventually realise that Trump is the problem and not the answer. He is driving the US economy into the ground just to appease Putin. It makes you wonder what information Putin has about Trump that he is holding over Trump's head? This fiasco is making Trump look like a weak fool who cares nothing for what pain the US people will suffer. He is rich and therefore he and his billionaire friends will not feel the pain he is happy to inflict on others.

Don’t let his BS fool you! Look around in your own communities. Look at the health care system. How many do you know that don’t have a GP so can’t get proper care even though they are sick. The ER tells us we have to have a general practitioner to get anything done! And then there are communities like on Vancouver Island that have closed ER’s in many cities leaving the injured to drive for 2 to 4 hours to the nearest ER. Have any Canadian citizens not heard of fentanyl deaths? Or had someone within 6 people from them have related addiction issues. How many homeless people wander the streets of your communities? This list goes on and on including things like affordable groceries , affordable homes , affordable utilities! \nACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS! Do Justin Trudeau and his parties actions over their term in office really covey their concern for Canadian citizens? I say NOT!

To all Americans, this is not personal but we are going to fight Trump's Tariffs with everything we can muster! We will take financial pain and deprive ourselves of AMERICAN products we love! Look at WW2 and you will see Canadians never give up! We almost never pick a fight but if forced, we will fight till the end! We stopped Fentanyl cold and your President ignored it because his agenda is to drive Canada to financial ruin, so we ask to be a state! Mark these words well Canada will never ever become the 51st state of the USA! This is not our of anger or distain! No, it is the quiet patriotism and love of country that Canadians have that we choose to remain Canada ,and always will! I ask facetiously; would you Americans like to become a Province of Canada? I didn't think so!

CNN correspondence never gives the more impactful concerns - in this case, the concern should be the fact that DT is attacking Canada, our friends, and Mexico, our friends - because he's a fkn traitor - and the US Constitution that says it's our American duty to stop people like him. The government and the common people must be overlooking these crimes and willing to give up their rights and freedoms. The original KGB and the long running Putin agenda is the slow game in his global conquest for power. You have to consider the geopolitics. If Mexico and Canada won't defend us (because they hate Trump) DT can/will sell out America to Russia, in turn Canada would be the closest place to conquer, then Mexico. It's stupid tho, unless the UN stands back and watches this happen too. Think I'm bullshittin, reading too far into things, but I'm not. Nobody is at the wheel but Trump, and he doesn't even know how to drive. You, the people and corporate new media will never read far enough to get the entire picture. Krasnov stole the Country to handicap us in the Cold War, except the War is white hot. He's in line with Hitlers handbook. And don't forget, that Nazis were white people who had no problem offing white people. Just sayin. Nobody is safe in Trump country. It's all Biffed up now.

Lmao , Americans don't give a damn what this douche thinks . I will be joyful that all the diaper head flip flop. Trucking cartel from Canada. ; driving our interstates like no speed limit exists. The U.S. is no longer the sugar daddy of the world why don’t you understand! The disrespect to President Trump is ridiculous from this woke socialist idiot! This is about equality and showing the respect of the country that drives your economy and protects your borders! Trudeau like the American left has swore to the woke religion, and the destruction it has inflicted on our country especially the last four years is over! Start showing respect to your closest ally or find yourself the 51st state if you keep FAFO! MAGA/MURICA!❤

Maybe he should discuss the constant duty fees and border crossing fees for anything shipped from Canada to the USA that have been constantly rising for years; fees that his very own government sets. Maybe he should talk about Canada demanding that anyone that sells anything foodwise to anyone in Canada from the USA has to have a special Safe Food For Canadians Food License or the goods being shipped will be rejected at the US owners cost, seized by the border and held in storage at the US owners cost, and destroyed and billed to the US owner. A license that no one actually needs considering other legal and ethical controls are in place to prevent unsafe foods from crossing the border, but Canada reserves the right to make us pay for one or we suffer consequences. Maybe he should discuss how they left their borders open to migrants, making it much easier for criminal migrants to get into the US. Maybe he should understand that the US has always been bleeding money to Canada on a trade level for about half a century with it getting much worse in the last decade because Canada's government are greedy. Before any of you come at me, keep in mind I work in the food ingredient industry as an order processing, logistics and customs & border crossing and have done so for 15 years. These tariffs were a long time coming and if any of you are on the inside of trade in the manner I am, then you know what I'm saying is true. The US is constantly paying additional tariffs by way of duty fees, customs fees, certain applied taxes (like there is literally a blueberry tax to ship US grown blueberries into Canada to prevent US blueberries from taking over the Canadian blueberry market). The blueberry tax is about 25cents per lb. which drives the price per lb. up for the seller and buyer. You wanna know why Food costs so much? All of the above with a huge side helping of GREED.

O bs. Does anyone actually believe Trudeau anymore? Canada already have tariffs on US goods. Clearly they have not done enough yet on dropping these, plus fentanyl and immigration, so Trump is driving the point home.\nImposing counter-tariffs is like a monty python joke.

anyone figure out yet that Russia would love for the EU to approach them along with Ukraine with a truce proposal without US involved so that Trump looks like a problem... and separates us from our long term allies looking like people you cant trust.
\n
\nthe great deal maker is being played by putin.
\n
\nhe has divided the alliance, and now has singled out USA as outside the circle. This president is driving us into the dirt.

It amazes me that Canada still allows this clown ro drive them over the cliff. Guys like him can't make a deal in favor of their people because they refuse to goto to the table and act like a logical intelligent adult. Goid luck with this guy Canucks.\n\nThis man is a corrupt enemy of the US plain and simple. Canada deserves better. His actions will hurt Canada far more than the US.\n\nKeep in mind this whole thing has alot to do with stopping fentanyl coming across our border.\n\nThis man lies and twists the truth - as he always has. This would not be happening if he was right - but its happening. The US doesn't want to hurt Canada but we are done being hurt by Canada's corrupt leadership

As a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served this country, my love for America and unwavering respect for the Constitution drive me to speak out. What Trump did in that meeting with Zelensky wasn’t strength, it was weakness disguised as tough talk. Pressuring Ukraine to negotiate from a position of desperation only empowers Russia and signals to the world that U.S. commitments mean nothing.\n\nTrue leadership isn’t about catering to dictators or throwing allies under the bus. It’s about standing firm for democracy, national security, and the principles this country was built on. If we let billionaires and politicians treat global conflicts like a business deal, we’re betraying everything generations of Americans fought and died for. I won’t stay silent while our country’s integrity is sold off for personal gain. America deserves better.

Very good summary. I will add that our I know you wanted to be concise and you nailed it. For anyone who is curious about how our politics make everything worse for us federally, let me explain it in a short time.\n\nTrudeau as of the day of this video, March 3, 2025, is STILL the PM. He said he WOULD resign once a new leader was picked through a democratic process. Right now, he's basically just doing photo ops in Ukraine, UK and anywhere else on our dime because Parliament is prorogued and the party in power, Liberal, is having a leadership race. So, while he may resign within the week once that leadership race is done, he's still technically in charge.\n\nWhat makes that race and the PM's prorogation so bad is that we're in the middle of a crisis - several actually - caused in part directly by Trudeau and his Liberals (and the NDP supporting them). The latest would be Trump's tariffs starting today, March 4, 2025. Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... I could go on but there's a reason we're hurting so bad.\n\nWe have zero federal leadership, and a federal government that makes things worse for us with things like: over-regulation, subsidizing media to keep us misinformed, nerfing select natural resource sectors but favoring others (oil and gas suffer, while coal is fine... probably because we sell it to China, but I digress), letting criminal out of jail, uncontrolled immigration, passing policies like the FHSA that drive home prices higher and higher, and of course, more and more taxes. I could go on about the billions in taxpayers' money the government blows - it's like a black hole - or the fact that MPs keep getting raises - April 1 is their fifth since COVID - and most federal and government employees are all getting raises at a time when the rest of us are learning to get by with less and less because we're taxed so much and housing, groceries, etc. are so unaffordable.\n\nI have applied for US citizenship. I want to stick around to fix Canada, but I think it's too far gone. We have too many socialists/communists in power and they're not getting voted out any time soon. It's been fun Canada, it's been fun.

As someone living in Canada... I actually don't feel much of the things mentioned in the video. Sure, wages are not growing as fast as it can, but as someone who managed to purchase a home *before* the bubble started to expand, I'm living steady right now.\n\nWhat is REALLY causing a large part of the social and economic issues is actually the fact that provinces are NOT expanding new towns and cities in the millions of kilometers that needs to grow. Everyone is moving into cities, including refugees and new immigrants, which is driving up local prices and demand for everything. A few years ago, there were literally news of townships outside of the major cities offering houses and land for $50 per acre if people move to those towns and live there. \n\nCanada's biggest (heh) advantage is how much land it has. It's biggest weakness is how little comparative population it has. The worst problem is the concentration of population in like 6 keys cities throughout the entire country. If more people who complain about housing or social issues were willing to move outside of the major cities, they wouldn't have those problems.

it's going to work. Canada wont go to sell in EU or China it's over seas way to long and most of the times still has to go thru the US lol it's to costly for one, and EU just wont cover all the cost, forget the logistic nightmare. US is like a 2 hour drive away!! big big difference. So simple, trumps tariffs will make Canadien companies sell there product higher so they dont lose to much profits. what does that do? US wont buy! then companies shut down, people loose their jobs. very simple. Many go on welfare for a year, when they run out older one or less educated one cant find jobs etc...Trump will kill Canada plain and simple. that's it that's all. He want our resources and will do it, we are done for. this will also kill truck drivers and many many many side workers. until we are part of the US.

sorry Tyler, didnt know where to send this talk, hope it gets to you. I recently watched a You Tube video from a couple, who had never been in Canada, it was quite amazing, think it was called something Southern or so. one of the main things, the gentleman was looking for is they had travelled from the west trough Toronto to the East and threw their arms up, saying, where are all the police, they had only seen 1 cop car in the city on their visit. secondly, he was dissappointed he could see where the hoods were, he wanted to see the Crackheads. (we dont have hoods like they do in the US)., another thing was he was sad because he couldnt find any Moose while they were driving from Niagara Falls to Toronto. Love your shows and talks. keep it up, thanks

“ ‘Are we dogs?’ Families decry executions of foreigners in Saudi Arabia “\nSaudi is Saudi \nThey have rules and laws. They have that right regardless what any other thinks. \nDon’t like it ? Don’t go there. Maybe allowing woman to drive was a start to modernize or westernize or? Just a scam as not many have the money required or status . \nI known men that have worked in Saudi. They stay in compounds I’ve heard. Must behave outside that as any Saudi or suffer consequences that may include beheading !

Both the US and Canada are illegitimate countries under the illegal occupation of the whites of European breeds who bred like rats after illegally occupying the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and used the wealth looted from India and elsewhere to establish themselves in those new lands after decimating the natives.\nThey maintained racial segregation until the 1970s and supported apartheid in South Africa until the 1990s and non-whites continued to be racially abused and get killed until today.\nHope the Mexicans and the natives will be able to drive them out and restore civilization and revive the past glory of the Olmecs, Mayas, Teotihuacans, Toltecs, and Aztecs. The US also has nukes pointed at India from Diego Garcia and refuses to return the Chagos Archipalego to Mauritius.

It’s a lot of the poorly educated in these comments, who haven’t met many outside of their circles, who feel disgusted and threatened by ALL trans.\n\nThere’s a huge difference between this intelligent, capable officer (who has achieved more than these idiots ever will) vs. some annoying, stupid LGBTQ TikToker (who unfortunately drive people away from accepting LGBTQ).\n\nIt’s like what Chapelle said: “I hate the poor. They can’t see past their own pain.”

Simple reason it's because lack of ethics, moral and behavior. as a indian I am immigrated to Canada 20 years ago there was no anti immigration sentiment in any part of Canada but Trudeau govt started to give visa, work permit and PR from all parts of world and now In Canada anti immigration sentiment is peak in history it' because we as a indian wherever we go live like in india and do all kind of fraud. In Canada people will pay $20K-$30K dollar to business owner to get fake letter to get work permit or PR and then they do cash some at other business. we pay bribe to get driving license. Our Indian who are the mortgage broker do mortgage fraud. When Canada gave massive visa to indian you never made story but now when visa is getting rejected you came up to show sympathy but do your duty diligently and pick core reason why it's getting rejected.

how dead do your brain cells have to be to think that doing something like this will immediately solve the problem. If there wasn't a demand there wouldnt be anyone trying to fill the demand. Purdue Pharma also helped create the demand by pushing highly addictive opioid drugs and lying about it to people. Those people they hooked didn't suddenly disappear. It created a chain that we are still seeing today. They would rather put a bandage on the bleeding wound than cough up the money and the actual will to start solving the crisis that is driving people into drugs. Like lack of affordable housing, once people lose that safety and are on the street drugs end up providing a relief from their situation. Lack of any meaningful mental health care, or any health care at all. There are underlying things that aren't getting solved, people will always find new ways to find or make drugs whether those drugs come from other countries or just created inside the US.

Americans are incredibly short-sighted.. Yes this Tariffs bullying will work now on the short term. But you're always driving countries to review their strategic partnerships and look elsewhere. So ok, in the immediate, this might sound like a win (for those with the IQ of a turtle), but the US just gave the whole world another reason to join BRICS, and start looking into ways to drop the US dollar. We'll revisit this in 2-4 years ?
|
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Just be aware, tariffs only hurt importers in the country that's utilizing them against another country. Meaning the US is going to get hurt by this along with Colombia. Importers take the hit and then they drive up the price on goods coming in. Meaning inflation increases even more. He's going to wreck the economy if he continues throwing out tariffs like candy. Colombia is likely going to join BRICS from this and will trade primarily with China.

can't give an opinion about living in USA, because I never stayed for long (only for vacations or short visits), but as a visitor, I used to go once or twice a week in the 90's (I used to live 5 minutes drive from the border), as a visitor, I was always welcomed and made friends very easily. Of course, being only a visitor, I didn't have to experience day to day life or any major problems. About police presence, I guess it depends where you go in USA, I'm from Montreal & we also have a very visible police presence (guess it's common in bigger cities). Didn't have any problems with police in USA, like everywhere, if you comply, you'll have good relationship with policemen. If you try to play or disrespect them, you're in for some trouble--no different here in Canada.

The population of Indian immigrants has skyrocketed in my native California since 2000. There are many lovely Indian people living here. But many are arrogant Tesla drivers that dont drive safely and act like they own the world. I slammed my breaks on once because a dog ran into the street and I didn’t want to hit it. And the Indian man behind me rear-ended me (which is completely his fault because he was riding too close behind.) He was furious and his response was “you should’ve hit the dog.” He kept saying it was my fault for stopping in the road and wouldn’t give me his insurance. I almost hit him, but instead I called the cops so they’d force him to give me his insurance.

How many of these other immigrants have been making fake licenses, paying money to get truck driving license, pooping on beaches, horrible civic sense, drug war, Khalistani nonsense, scam galore, changing Canada into a low trust society just like India. The list just goes on and on. Thank you India

Immigration MAY play a role in rising prices... In fact, it's negligible. Private Equity and Corps are using the excuse of 'immigration' to intentionally drive up prices. Why have prices increased generally. The Gov't printed too much money to keep the Corps/Bay St Happy and share prices up. They should have just rode it out like the rest of the World (aside from Western Countries, You see the exact same thing happening... Rising costs, mass immigration, etc. coincidence? ?) . So in fact, it's not that things got more expensive... our currency deflated. Aside from US and EU at least... majority of our immigrants aren't illegals, refugees, people seeking asylum, etc. They actually can bring value to the economy (some would disagree... ?, besides that). As long as the Gov't ends the TFW BS... we'll be fine. Maybe... Doesn't help when Can Officials are sharing the bed with Sikh business Tycoons... Jagmeet, Danielle, etc. That's a story for another time.

Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. You can't expect immigrants to work as slaves and then pull your country out of the mess you created by spending money on useless programs like a drunken sailor.\n\nCut costs, cut taxes, cut inflation (stop printing money), cut useless programs (ala DOGE in the US), allow housing to crash, diversify your economy, invest in start ups and entrepreneurs, increase salaries, scrap the carbon tax, etc. Notice - none of these have anything to do with immigration.

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.

the problem is that leaders prefer to deal with larger business owners\nsince that is a lot easier to talk to a single individual person\n\nso what that means is big business can deal with those changes\nhowever all of the other small medium sme landscape suffers a lot more\n\nfor a strong and healthy economy you need a broad variety of business\nacross diverse sectors types but also different sizes for different purpose\n\nsmaller businesses creates new wealth generation new opportunities\nit is the mechanism of entrepreneurship and narrow the wealth gap rich vs poor\n\nsmaller business also is the place where innovation occurs new products\nalso entire new markets and opportunities to improve the society local cities\n\nbig business doesnt like threats coming up from smaller companies\nso there is an inherent tensions here that is self destructive to usa economy\n\nneed protect sme business against fallout from tariffs below certain size\nthat then is complex across different sectors materials products to waive that\n\nthe implications was to focus only on the top n number of sectors by revenue\nfor example raw materials metals, building materials affects both large + small\n\nso that is why the dynamic tariffs idea as a tool for negotiating other nations\nwhich is also hideously complex, so its all a lot of unnecessary beuraucracy added\n\nwhich is then against the drive to simplify government those initiatives conflicts\ndont make all your sme business rising stars pay for that --> future big business\n\nthey will remember your policies and become another anti-government all again\nthat is bad ways
