They even require a yearly flu shot! I hope they take that requirement away soon. No one is talks about mandating LEGAL immigrations have to get the covid vaccine. But the point is ILLEGAL immigrants aren’t expected to any of these. \n\nNot to mention that legal immigrants, but presumably not TRUE Asylum seekers, have to pay THOUSANDS of dollars to get a green card. \n\nGee I wonder why so many legal Latino immigrants would be pissed that the had to work so hard and pay so much, and these assholes let millions of the 3rd world in with so little requirements that tens of thousands of violent criminals were let in. So much so that Venezuelan gangs were able to take over multiple apartment blocks and hold the occupants hostage and demand “rent” from them.

Lets go beyond the immigration status of these workers. That has been talked about endlessly. The US economy would take a hit if this deportation plan goes through. These workers are critical in many sectors: construction, agriculture, service, tourism etc etc. When people call for deportng workers on this scale, it really is a case of careful what you wish for

Those people will be in limbo, meanwhile, we the taxpayers will paying for housing, feeding, clothing, them and their health care. \n\nOh, we haven't talked about climate change.... migration to the northern wealthier countries won't stop due to climate change. It won't stop here or in Europe. But, no many people are talking about it or preparing for it. \n\nNow the Reps have control of the executive branch, the congress (both chambers), and the Supreme Court is in his pocket. So, there will be no one to blame but themselves if they don't fix what they say they will fix: Immigration, ACA, the Economy, and more.

I came to Germany in 2008 to do my Bachelors and later did my masters and working for 10 years now. Got my citizenship 5 years ago. Lets say i have to travel a lot due to my work.. If i move out of Germany, it would be only because of insane tax . I expected even a colder or harsher condition but since my expectation was soo low, it was all good.. At my work place, the working language is only German. I knew that before so it was not a hard time when i was thinking from time to time regarding the difficulty.. \nOne thing and most important thing, Even after getting your citizenship in Germany you are not automatically a German. You are just a paper german ( Even though i dont hold other passport ). I knew this before and it was not hard for me but for many immigrants who become german citizens, they will still be seen as an Ausländer .. Thats the reality which will take another decade to change.

This isn't just a white or black thing it's an out of control immigration system where people use loopholes in the system to gain residency. Many have concerns that many of the new comers can't even speak English yet they have license to drive and how do we get around most bend the rules or the law. Myself I've notice a skyrocketing scam scheme and how can you not equate that to the rise in our broken immigration policy. The last time I heard you had to have certain criteria to be considered to immigrate and why is that some countries like from the South Pacific you need to know English have money in the bank and a skill or degree on a list of acceptable qualifications. So many who can't even read or write English have jobs, drive a car, then to make matters worse have housing yet we have a crisis? Most Canadians see the pattern and most are educated enough to know there is something to be said, loopholes and when they find it they abuse the system.

Diversity wasn't our strength, Canadian values were. Don't ever let anyone tell you canada doesn't have culture. We had a bright culture of men bejng men, woman being woman, kindness, kindness to your fellow neighbour's, pride our national game of hocker. Love of winter and al things nature related. We are the north, and that was the culture we built in for generations. Immigrants need to to adapt and learn our culture that's why you can't let in That many from ones country all at once. They never assimilate they just make pockets of India everywhere.

This is very telling and confims what we already knew. Many students are NOT here to study. Most are not. The student visas, which the liberals hand out like candy on Halloween, are simply an easily abused way of getting residency. Im a first generation indo canadian ,and our government has let in too many immigrants into canada .for me as a small construction business owner it is getting harder for me to get more local jobs due to immigrants starting up their own construction companies and then charging next to nothing for the jobs they do.and when they mess the job up and don’t have the funds to fix their mistake due to their low prices,they either do a shitty job or walk off the job.

Canada's immigration policies of the last several years are designed to destroy Canadian culture. It seems India is the main target country that is taking advantage of these ridiculous policies, by quite a large percentage. Though racial hatred can be the result of this for many, which is unfortunate, the reality is Canadians are not wrong for being very angry about this, and not everyone has the luxury or time to be high minded and philosophical about the demise of their culture. You don't need to hate Indians to know what is going on is wrong. Our country is using tax payer dollars to fund initiatives that literally lock citizens out of jobs. Think about how absolutely abhorrent that is. Unfortunately so many people have been let into the country the only way to fix it will be to deport people en masse.

I was never racist or taught to see people of other ethnicities or religions as inferior so I don't hate Indians, nor do I show them disrespect unless warranted but the rampant abuse of our systems has messed up so many things. I know of large families of Indians who came as asylum seekers who'd come over separately while claiming different names so when they all come together some families are getting $30k or more per month just for being here. They drive expensive new luxury vehicles and mostly wear expensive designer clothes and are given homes while at the same time us Canadians born and raised here are struggling to even get to eat well every day or have a home to begin with. It's not entirely the fault of Indians, the blame also needs to be shared by our gov't as well since they opened the borders and have mostly waived the process of vetting who comes into our country. It's never a bad thing to have people who genuinely add to the collective greatness of a country but we have let in too many freeloaders and even criminals, the Indian gangs extorting businesses for millions in BC and Alberta for example. Nothing wrong with Indian immigrants as long as we can balance the needs and safety of everyone involved as well. Right now there is no balance and the results are catastrophic. Canada never used to be host to so much divide and hatred as it is now, we can thank Trudeau and his people for that.

It's illogical to pin this whole mess onto just housing issue. The deeply rooted issue is there is no vetting process from the source where these folks are misguided from the beginning. Everyone is led to believe, spend your family's life savings and when you arrive here, there is a ready to settle down nirvana in Canada. This is a beautiful country which allows you to prosper but that takes a well disciplined and enforced immigration system here and the countries where these folks apply from, and decades of hard work once you arrive here. The reality is there are less jobs, no places to live, no support system. I don't see how anyone is being held accountable here. Let's not forget the kids of second gen immigrants are lost in this mess. Many parents have attested their kids did not find any work during this past summer vacation. The basis of these wholesale escapes is that they are very arrogant, very educated, and very conscious. The Canadian State, which is completely the enemy of the people and society, not Canadians and Canadianness, has a bad record regarding serious human rights violations. Moreover, the overwhelming majority of the people in Canada are not very conscious, well-read, or very educated, in fact, many of them are so incapable of seeing the realities right under their noses that they smoke marijuana, they are an uneducated, ignorant, apolitical and unresponsive mass. In Canada today, only 30 percent of the population is a university graduate and in Canada with a population of 40 million, only 2 million people are studying at universities today, and those who graduate do not stay in Canada anyway, those who receive their diplomas immediately go to America. Oh now being the eminent election coming, he finally thinks he needs to limit immigration now that we are already screwed. Too late Trudeau. He needs to stop immigration until we catch up after letting so many of them in our Country, including terrorists, car thieves, and those who think they can do what they did in their Countries. Trudeau, you have ruined our Country, especially for the 20 and 30 some year old Canadians. They have no hope. No wonder mental health is on the rise. There should also be rules of how many foreign students should be allowed. Even before watching I can tell you - Germany does not want Skilled labor immigrants, but unskilled. They hardly ever allow a skilled immigrant to get the skilled jobs that they have the skills for so lots of skilled people actually end up doing unskilled jobs - because they are not let to do the skilled work. It has been for decades and I don't see it going away. Yes I said skilled so many times on purpose. Germany made its bed and it will have to lay in it. Shocker of the century for all countries I know.

I'm Indian, been in Canada for over 40 yrs and I think they let in too many immigrants which caused problems with housing/rents and the job market...it was a terrible and nearly irreversible mistake. It's ruined Canada...fortunately most Indians are ok, but still too many newcomers here.

I feel bad for those who were duped into coming here to Canada. They had big dreams of becoming successful here, instead not being able to do that and being forced to live in cramped accommodations. I work in healthcare, and a lot of people who work in the facility in which I'm employed were brought here from the Philippines and India, mostly. Some were hired directly by this employer, while others came here some other way. Those with professions like being an RN were under the impression that it wouldn't take that long or be that difficult to get their Canadian certification to work as RNs here. Instead, they found out that the process for that here in Canada is a lot tougher and takes a lot longer than they'd been led to believe. So many are left not being able to use their education to its fullest, instead working as care aides until they can get the proper certification. I know that this has also happened with doctors and engineers and to many in other professions for which they went to school for years. It's a real shame.\n\nThis massive influx of people coming from other countries, though, has been really tough on those of us who were already living here. It's been way too many people, and we just weren't prepared. It's been one of the biggest factors in the huge increase of cost of living and, of course, it's by far the reason we have an enormous housing shortage.\n\nI'm not completely anti-immigration, but I think that it needs to be stopped, at least for a while. Let us deal with what's going on now instead of bringing in more people that would only help to make things worse, through no fault of their own. When given circumstances of true immigration are present, a majority of Canadians (or any other country, for that matter) have proved to be accepting. This is not the current situation, hence my noting that your title is misleading. Multiple countries are, during economic strife, being inundated with individuals perporting to be immigrants and stretching an already bad situation to breaking point. One questions the logic behind such decisions as can be illustrated thusly. A family is struggling with funds so decides to advertise a space in return for income and an understanding/expectation of contributing towards the general upkeep of said space. This would be mutually agreeable. The family would increase the hardships AND the effort they would be responsible for by taking in someone when they are at breaking point. They might, upon better circumstances, invite someone in to help bridge that guests progress... but not indefinitely. Now let's return to the current situation, shall we? It is not one but many. There is increased, NOT REDUCED, burden of effort. Some are not abiding to the general agreements of the house and, at least, doing their *fair* share. So, coming back to your title of this misleading piece, it is disingenuous and sonewhat preaching to present either the question or an argument without being cognizant of these relevant facts.
