Check for homelessness, inflation, affordable housing availability, also what kind of education and skills will these 500.000 immigrants have and will they speak English?? Even in a remote part of Canada rent is very high, Canadians are paying 1200.00 per month for a 1 bed 1 bath apartment and don’t forget utilities on top of that. Just imagine we heard this immigrant's sad story regarding just wanting a better life for his family. Some people will feel some compassion and say screw you Trudeau or Trump, let them all in, they just want to work, they are not criminals, screw laws, we are all immigrants here blah, blah blah. Let's not forget there are thousands and thousands maybe millions that has the same sad story and the same dream. If Canada don't build a wall, it will end up like America and have all sorts of immigration issues.

When talking about canadians, please do not forget the majority of canadians voted for Trudeau. As a canadian this worries me as Trudeau is very transparent.
