American here,in full support of President Trump. Someone needs to be the bad guy and fix the globalist corruption. I personally never listen to or watch CNN. Canada is in a economic and cultural downfall for a reason. I have never supported Castros Bastard son, Trudeau. I love real Canadians and believe Canada would be much better as a US Territory/ State and hope they get rid of this weak little boy.

Trudeau shouldn't be making ANY speeches in his position. He should be packing up and leaving office so we can start to rebuild Canada without him. He's already agreed that he failed the Canadian people and he's the reason the US is putting tariffs on us.

I see a LOT of emotions here in the comments from people who like to tout where they're from for some really weird reason. I imagine to represent the soap box they stand upon. I find it ironic people are giving underhanded insults to Donald Trump by comparing how Trudeau speaks, yet I can almost guarantee those same people brag about how they refuse to listen to a word Donald Trump says. So its a really silly way to try to insult someone. Also just checked some of my stocks daily returns. Up over 2%. So he was wrong within the first 10 minutes. I suspect the market will become more bullish as some of the companies that have made deals to create factories in the US complete them and start churning out products made locally.

There's many reasons not to like Trudeau up here in Canada, many of which are the reason he'll (rightfully) no longer be the PM next week. As a conservative I hated him for SNC-Lavalin (among other scandals), and the fact that his inexperience with the economy Harper left him is probably part of why this trade war is going to hurt more than it could have, and the fact that he's often been kind of a phony more concerned with looking and sounding good for the press cameras. Not this time. Nothing phony here; I've got to give credit to him for capturing the national mood pretty much perfectly with this speech. Good on him. \n\nAnd congratulations as well to Donald for pretty much handing the Liberals their best shot at a fourth term, too. What an absolute idiot. Canadian here. There's a lot of people in Canada that don't like Trudeau for a lot of reasons, but with the recent events I think the majority of the country has come to tolorate him a little while longer until we get a new Prime Minister. Trumps actions have only united the Canadian people.

These tariffs had initially been deferred to April. The reason Trump decided to put them in so abruptly is in retaliation to Trudeau doubling down on support fir Ukraine. This is so annoying. Most Canadians don't want our tax dollars going to Ukraine either.

Donald, and I noticed you refrained from calling him President Trump because he is certainly not acting like a president, Donald is siding with our enemies, snuggling up to a malicious dictator rather than taking a stand for right and for the common good. He has absolutely no reason to impose tariffs and is actually breaking legal agreements to do so, but we all know that Trump believes he is above the law. If you like this speech, go and listen to Premier Ford of Ontario as he threatens to tariff all the energy which flows into the States or even just cut it off. I am a French Canadian. I did not hear it From Trudeau in English but I heard it in French, the real reason of the economic war is annexation. Fentanyl, immigration was just a Casus Belli. Trump want to put us on our knees and beg to join the US. We will have federal elections soon and we know that Trump will try to influence the outcome of the elections like Chine, Russia or India. I'm sorry, that's not anti-Americanism. Word choices matter, and this was intentional. Think what you will of Trudeau or Canada, the reason people are turning away from networks like CNN is at least in part because you continue to pay people who are incentivized to frame everything as pro-America or anti-America. Some better choices might have included: frustrated, honest, distressed, resolved. Nothing Trudeau said was in any way anti-American.

It is evident that comments like the one from @robertedward7023 demonstrate many, many people do not know what took place at the meeting before this meeting which should have made this meeting a simple signing of the agreement. VP Vance corrected Zelensky for his attempt to propagate his agenda and now that Germany, France and others--as NATO countries--have jumped in, there could be consequences resulting in war if they continue to push for it. As far as Trudeau, he is on his way out according to his own resignation and he has just done Canada wrong with the faulty reasoning.
