The Irish, Scottish and Germans then established their bases where they could more easily integrate into their new societies….The Italians and Portuguese and Greeks and other Euros set up shop in the 50's 60's and 70's…Most of them lived among their own communities with familiarity…Same for all the Asian and African, S.American, Carribean immigrants and others ever since…. They may stay a generation or two in these communities, but children of immigrants lean to living wherever suits them. It's like the evolution of immigrant societies. This is happening all over the world at this moment, and people of all races ,creeds and colours are complaining of other groups of peoples of all races, creeds and colours moving into and sometimes engulfing their communities.\nSome communities have been Gentrified…Do we shake our fists in the air and scream ' Damn those young professionals!!?' Other communities have been inundated by hordes of Seniors. It wouldn't surprise me if the blatant racists commenting on this site didn't suggest Euthanasia in such cases, or perhaps loading them onto ice-floes and tugging them out to sea. If you're not happy, MOVE! If you can't adapt, or if you can't see that we're really all the same, all wanting the same things in life, or if you don't realize that most people from these countries are actually really nice and worth knowing, well don't go away angry, just go away to wherever suits you. Perhaps there's an Ice floe out there for you somewhere.

Canada’s cost of living is outrageous on account of ‘investment’ usually foreign, which is archaic, as ‘investment’ is NOT a ‘modern’ term, which means surrounded by a hostile force to besiege and blockade it. And yes, harassment in Canada is common it’s vast including ‘nice Canadians’ that’s only appearances and it’s not only on strangers it’s in their own families and businesses at large. I'm not muslim, but I've lived and worked in Saudi where Islam permeates every facet of life. I also lived in worked in Malaysia where Muslims make up the majority. Both countries have their advantages and disadvantages. As you have a Canadian passport you're more likely to get a better job in Saudi. No guarantee of that in Malaysia. \nI found the food better in Malaysia, but the food in Saudi is pretty darn good too. \nWinter in Saudi is very nice, at least where I lived in Khobar. However, it is brutally hot for 7-8 months a year. Malaysia is tropical, meaning its very warm to hot with high humidity and rain. \nI can't talk about other countries as I haven't that much experience. Wherever you go, best of luck.

Since you both mentioned about the choice of doing Umrah more often , choosing Saudi Arabia would be a wise decision along with other factors that you mentioned in the video. An Islamic environment, nice weather especially western and southern parts of Saudi Arabia. Other main cities such as Riyadh and Dammam has a decent winter where temperatures hovers around 10 to 15 deg C for few weeks.Makkah and Madinah itself is a place to live but madinah has a more calm and peaceful atmosphere compared to Makkah. If not, Jeddah which is jus 30 mins to Makkah and 2 hrs to madinah by train. \n\nAnd you will also have quality of life especially the food and housing also and never to worry about halal foods. Education for kids will be on the costlier side, but again you don't have to ay any income tax. If you're on resident visa the only fee that comes is a dependent fee for your family dependent members ,lets say in your case 3. But if you're on premium visa such as investor visa etc i think there are exceptions. Also to take note saudi arabia doesn't offer citizenship. You can be here on resident permit of varying validity depending on the visa you choose to have.

I’m a local Canadian and I very much agree with you. I’m planning on leaving as well and never moving back here. Canada used to be nice but now it’s just extremely expensive, residents are RIDICULOUSLY overtaxed, we’re not getting back the value of what we were taxed for, large cities like Toronto are overpopulated and thus the culture is highly diluted, left wing government, not to mention the cold wet and dark winters these days :(

This is sadly true, I came to Canada ??a 1,5 years ago leaving my con try where I had a nice job, good pay both me and my wife and were able to travel twice a year. Here in Canada more than 50% of my salary is eaten by rent, my wife is struggling to find a job and it’s impossible for us to save, worst than that sometimes we use our savings to close the months. Now everybody who is asking me for advice on how to come or preparing to come after getting their PR, I tell them stay where you’re at least you have a good situation in your home, you’re familiar with your country problems so there is no benefits coming here and living a shitty life.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. Back about 15 years ago I was down in Indiana on Ohio. In the people I met in the Midwest states. Great people laid back hard workers. America might have its problems, but so does Canada. Lot of similarities between both countries. And as for Canada's free health care. It's not so good right now. People are having hard time finding doctors. People wait hours to get into appointments. The only thing nice about free healthcare. Is it's free for some people and relatively affordable for other people. But it's not the best healthcare in the world. Like people said, least in America, you can go in and see a doctor and you're in and out pretty quick. But if you don't have free health care yet pay for it

Nice candid video Tyler. I have a good friend (a Jusey Gurl) who moved to Canada like 20ish years ago I think mainly because of an ex. I think she appreciates the health care as well with my talks with her over the years. She and I've been thinking this lately that Canadians have either changed or that Canadians are more friendly stereotype is going down .I think with more immigration, the cost of living and frozen pay and higher and higher taxes Canadians are increasing discouraged with politics and Canada in general. You noticed many of the woman mentioning health care and social programs as well? Police... We have a lot here as well maybe more so because of pay. The police are well looked after and paid well here. I think politics are getting more polar and more divisive here as well. The liberals have really really done a stellar job with two terms of sheer WEF CCP hogwash to destroy the country. Another general stereotype is that Americans are obnoxious and unpleasant isn't true as well. I'm in tourism and find most of the Yanks to be friendly and polite and GREAT TIPPERS. Ha many US servers don't like it when Canucks go over there because they're stingy. I think if everything works out without saying more, your country, like it or not , will ultimately start the big liberation finally of humanity hopefully for the better. You folks generally have a bigger love of freedom and you're ARMED. You have the mindset and the LEVERAGE to change the system. Canada is objectively better in terms of legal employment protections, unemployment insurance and healthcare, even though it's second-rate when you take into account waiting times etc. Our public education system is hands down better, even with it's woke issues. If you have never been to, or lived in Canada, you have no right making this video. A lifetime of visiting American cousins (upstate NY!, Michigan, Cali, Texas) that wrap themselves in the flag and declare the US 100% better for everything made me expect a very different video.\nCanada is no longer all that great, but ... top 10% of income / wealth you're better off in the US (but for MOST people the extra wealth doesn't buy happiness).\nNext 25% is about the same, your quality of life is the pretty much the same in either place so long as you don't have a health crisis.\nBottom 65% - move to Canada if you can, or better yet ANYWHERE in the EU. If you have a CompSci or Engineering degree, the EU is a better choice except for a certain amount of culture shock and the mandatory language rules. Of course, if you have the opportunity and funds to move ... you don't need to.\nIf you are of Nordic descent the appropriate Scandinavian country is definitely a better choice, but my understanding is that they are not very tolerant of others.

I’ve travelled to the states many times, vacation/work training/day trips & also my son lived in NC on a golf scholarship & you’re correct that it does depend on the area/place within the US but in the end I’m always relieved when I arrive back to Canada. I feel safe here! Our last trip was to California visiting San Francisco, Monterey & the coast, so beautiful & it was a great vacation. Just to mention the only way that we felt safer going there is because it’s a majority Democratic state. US can be nice to visit but there’s no place like home & Canada is the best for many reasons.

I've never lived there, but I've visited there. It strikes me how little Americans fit the stereotype on their home soil. They're great people at home, friendly, helpful, warm. I think they only let the arseholes travel abroad and that's why they have such a poor image abroad. I think they should start letting the nice ones travel too. Lok

Tyler, in terms of you reacting to canada gets stuff late....i was in seattle at a bar, one hour away from our border, this guy at a club said you're so money. i said nice swingers quote and he could not believe i had seen the movie, i told him we get all the movies he does and it blew his mind that we had theaters in Canada. I’m a single mother who is under income and I cannot find anything. Even the government won’t even help. They put me on this ridiculous seven year waitlist. Which I have technically been on for 12 years, but they lost my application and made me reapply ?\n\nThey don’t care my child, and I are facing homelessness. Their excuse? Canada currently has an influx of newcomers that need homes first.\n\nI have a teenage boy and he has a lot of new Ukrainian refugees. Why are they not in shelters? I understand they need help, and Canada should gladly welcome them.\nBut they’re putting these families in literal condos. Nice condos. Government paid for one year. It’s absolutely fucking ridiculous.\n\nI know this is long, but if someone reads this that works in the government, I have a suggestion\n\nKeep taking refugees. Canada has a lot of land. Same here in Montreal used to love this city still do but post C19 everything changed like everywhere housing crisis, politics, the cultural center it user to be changed maybe its just looking at it now at the start of my 30s compared to when i moved here from Europe and Central Africa at the start of my 20s. Met friends i have for life, got great professional opportunities lived in nice places great food in the city. Now everything is just super expensive now and i know toronto is must be ever crazier. Im considering moving back to France or Switzerland to be closer to my family and friends and also be close to Gabon easier to visit than here constantly taking 4 plains round trip everytime i go back home. After losing my father last year getting divorced 3 years ago i think my time here is done. 14yrs here i became an adult here had amazing experiences, became a canadian citizen but its just not the same anymore. Time for a new adventure somewhere else. We used to live well even back as a student on minimum wage, now with a better career good salary we’re struggling. Breaks my heart seeing this all over canada.

Sadly everything you shared is pretty accurate. I got got followed to my work place by a stranger I met in the TTC streetcar. He proceeded with attempted to assault me in the building of my workplace. This left me traumatized for months, thank goodness I overcame my fear of riding the TTC. On the question of rent, it’s insane it actually may force some people to stay in bad situations just so they can maintain the living conditions they are accustomed to like staying in toxic relationships or terrible roommate situations…etc. I did get very lucky, moving in 2022 from living with a roommate to living on my own in a bachelor same area and really nice area in Mimico by the Lake for a rent of only $1400. Simply because my landlords are an old couple not greedy at all who prioritize having a good tenant over making extra cash but having to deal with different tenants every few months just because people cannot sustain the increase of living in Toronto plus paying their bills and rent. So there is hope, if you can find a landlord that has these values you won the lottery. I’m hoping things change for the better in Toronto, there’s no reason why the city cannot tackle all these issues in a more efficient way. But like sometimes I think of moving to a smaller city and if it weren’t for my current rent which is very low for the time we’re in, I would have moved to a cheaper province a long time ago. Too many NIMBYs. They're not building enough homes or infrastructure because it takes too long to build anything. They can't even build enough nice homeless shelters (conditions in existing shelters are pretty bad). NIMBYs are a scourge on society because they fight every improvement, from bike lanes to subway lines to housing developments.

These folks seeing how weak the US are getting we need stronger leadership we’re too nice this why they’re making bold moves like this.!?

I think it really depends on the type of person you are and what you're looking for. I've lived in central Toronto for 25 years, and a few more in the suburbs prior. Family emigrated here from the UK when I was 10. Really look forward to the prospect of going back to the UK when I don't have a regular job (semi retire) anymore for a variety of reasons. Nice to live in Canada, but long for the beauty of the town and country life in England.

The USA is a violent hate filled hell hole, you may be able to find some safe corner if you're lucky but it is flooded with guns and violence, run by religious fanatics and the other deluded. You stated you've lived in smaller cities or towns and found them to be nice ..... you're a white guy.... of course you're gonna find the people nice and friendly. It may not be so friendly or nice to anyone who's not white though. Health care coverage through a job means if you lose your job you're screwed for health care while unemployed. The USA is a dumpster fire politically and socially to the rest of the world. You're IN it so you can't see what we are from other countries who do things differently.
