I think you're wrong about the elected officials, they want the illegal aliens because they want a voter class that depends completely upon them. What better class than voters who will be deported if they change their votes? Make it easy for these people to illegally vote and you're going to always be elected.

Hopefully Canada will start mass deportations aswell. No actual Canadian citizens want the country overrun with immigrants.

@CashJordan Actually the REAL REASON the progressive leaders are against deportations is THE CENSUS. *The more people you have counted, the more FEDERAL MONEY you get.* Trump called it in his first term. He wanted only US citizens counted. But Congress didn't even want to take it up. The next CENSUS is in 2030. Hopefully Congress will change it by then.

I sincerely don't understand why people have an issue with people who came here illegally getting deported. It's not at all racially motivated or discrimination. Whether they are serious criminals or just entered illegally - it is not right for them to be here, or be provided services paid for by tax paying Americans. As an educated American citizen, If I want to move to UK or European countries I have to jump through many hoops, prove I have my own money to support myself, and possibly meet a language requirement. Why is it that we just accommodate anyone who wants entry to USA? It baffles me. I have friends all upset about deportations and it's ridiculous. I can't understand why we bother to have any laws if we don't enforce them? I have 2 family members who immigrated here LEGALLY. That's the only way it should be allowed and we should up the requirements to gain entry as well.

I like Firstpost because she usually says it like it is. But this time she’s way too biased and went straight to play victim. Doesn’t she know how in places like Australia and Canada thousands of Indian people on temporary visas have taken to the streets to protest that these countries want to “deport” them when their visas are expired and they decided to overstay their welcome? Why are they crying? How about being deported from your own country by people that never lived there. I am an Indian who lives in India. Those Indians who were trying to sneak into US borders, were criminals. What I don’t get is America isn’t against immigrants coming to America (the legal way) but people want to protest coming here illegally and are upset people are getting deported because they didn’t come the legal way. I work with a ton of guys that came to America the legal way and are all for deporting the illegals back to where they came from. The legal immigrants work hard and pay taxes and illegals don’t pay taxes they get benefits and haven’t paid their dues like the legal immigrants had to do to get in. Taking care of illegals takes away from Americans getting the help they need and we have to pay taxes.
