There is something Canada and Mexico don't get, Trump put tariffs because of the illegal trade that comes across the borders, illegal immigrants, gangs and drugs and because he thinks, right or wrong, that Mexico and Canada don't do enough to stop it. well there is trade with Africa, Asia, Europe, South America and Mexico that could bypass it all. If USA were not busy being Israel's poodle and guard-dog trying to make an American empire all over the world, much of it to serve Israel, then they could deploy their troops all over the border with their ridiculously large amount of law enforcement agencies and personnel (ICE, FBI, ATF, State Troopers etc) and stop all drugs and criminal gangs flooding in.

And Colombia is hitting back. Remember Trump started a world trade war during his first term -- and the US got its butt kicked royally. South America stopped buying American produce and started buying from China. The EU stopped buying American steel and started buying from China.
