The only reason the US imports so much from Canada is because the Democrats stopped production of all the materials Canada supplies the US because of their green policies. \nBut President Trump is reopening the gas, oil, electricity and agriculture production, so they won’t need to import so much from Canada, in fact probably reducing it substantially. \nProbably what will happen now is discussions on various goods to become equal on terms of cost in both countries levelling the playing field.

President Trump doesn't care. The US has been subsidizing Canada's electrical grid for over $250 million dollars a year. Canada will loose that. In addition, US automotive industries like stellantis are moving productions back to the US from Canada. First acknowledge that a country has the right to control its borders. The US has lost its Aircraft industry (Boeing), its Car industry (Detroit) and now its Semiconductor industry (Intel).
