Please don’t resign Trudeau we the Canadians need you right now. I don’t want Trump to have Canada ?? I am with Trudeau all the way when it comes to saving our country. Please Canadians we the ones who were born in Canada ?? don’t want US to take over our country and make it part of US do we?? \nI am so proud that our Government Trudeau is speaking out to Trump . ????

My husband and I were both immigrants to Canada, he from S. Africa, I from the UK. I never experienced any discrimination. My busband was diagnosed with late stage bone cancer at 31 years old. The medical care was so good that he lived another 6 mostly happy years. We were supported by the Ontario Health Care system with visiting nurses, even housekeepers and received every help we could possibly need, at no cost to us. I will always be grateful for the love and support we received from Canadian friends, employers and the medical professionals. What a country! I am in Europe now but feel strongly that Canada, the EU, Britain, the wonderful Ukrainians (I know quite a few refugees) and other countries of good will should work together for a better world. We are a family and families support each other in difficult times. Americans welcome when they are ready.

Trudeau is a clown. This is a guy who thwarts free speech and jailed his own people and took their money away during peaceful protests. Canada has enjoyed a a trade surplus against us forever. They also do not have to pay for military since they are right next to us. They should be doing whatever we want. Canada was sending recyclable trash to the Philippines. When the trash arrived it was not recyclable. Philippine president said stop sending but Canada continued to send it. So finally he said if you send one more ship, we will declare no war on you. And if that happened, without US help, even the Philippines would destroy Canada in a war. Way more fighting aged males and Canada has a worthless military. Canada has a GDP of 5-10% of US. So Trudeau acting tough is hilarious. Like a chihuahua barking at a grisly bear. If push came to shove, in the time of US war need, the US would simply take whatever it wanted from Canada. That's what happens when you don't develop your own substantial military-just like Europe now.

As a Republican... I agree with many things our country needs, like tougher border security and a crackdown on the government. I do not agree with tariffs to Canada, especially them. They have always stood side by side with us. The American taxpayers will pay the tariffs. Globalization is to limit our opportunities. Trump needs to think it through.

We need to make a democratic front with the EU, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and any democratic nation sharing our values in opposition to the US and cancel out the US during the Trump presidency

Most americans are not in agreement with any of what's coming out of the president's office. He's lost sight of what American really stands for - and that his role, along, with those of his administration, are paid servants. The US has started an unsanctioned trade war against Canada. How is this different than what Russia is doing to Ukraine? The US needs to have sanctions slapped on them by the rest of the world like has been done to Russia.

What Trump is doing is collecting money from these tariffs, while at the same time bringing certain industries back to the United States. These tariffs will not be permanent but will remain for a certain period to encourage companies to relocate. He runs his country like a business, he doesn’t care if there are job losses elsewhere.\n\nCanada and Mexico will have to adjust and start becoming less dependent on the United States. It will be difficult for Canada because we are a consumer country, we manufacture almost nothing. TSMC is moving to the U.S., his plan is working, and other companies will follow.\n\nHere in Canada, we import a huge amount of American products. We absolutely need to change our habits, we should not support a country that wants to see us fail.

Trump isn't the only one that is harming Canada in one way or another. Trump is forcing Canada to do better with our borders and crisis's that had not been addressed quickly enough. We (Canada) allowed these issues to get out of hand and it took another country to tell us that we needed to do better because the issues affect them as well. I always understood the tariffs on Mexico in order to force the Mexican gvt to fight the Cartel. There is a lot of talk on Fentanyl headed south, but no mention by Canada of how much of the drug heads north. I can't be zero. There has to be transit of the drug from the USA into Canada.\n\nBut what I truly don't understand, is that what heads south is not crossing through the Canadian border. All south bound traffic needs to go through US Border patrol agents. So by that measure, how is Canada not doing its job? I've crossed into Canada many times and have been asked to pull over for a search of my vehicle more times than I've been searched on my return to the USA, which was once, my very first crossing in 2002. \n\nMy only guess is the problem isn't fentanyl, that's just a distraction and by design a way to get people believing in something that isn't true and to help further the rift.

We are going to be sorely sad to see Trudea step down from his office as Prime Minister of Canada, as we need great leaders like him to fight for us. The border is a smoke screen for what Trump wants...our resources gor nothing. He says the US doesn't need anything, yet he wants, Canada, Greenland, Gaza, and is holding Aid over Ukraine's head for an unfair trade deal of resources. The only reason the US imports so much from Canada is because the Democrats stopped production of all the materials Canada supplies the US because of their green policies. \nBut President Trump is reopening the gas, oil, electricity and agriculture production, so they won’t need to import so much from Canada, in fact probably reducing it substantially. \nProbably what will happen now is discussions on various goods to become equal on terms of cost in both countries levelling the playing field.

Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer. Trump is concerned about the drugs coming into our country and since the borders are affected these drugs will be coming into our country many other ways. You know where criminals go to get out of the US. Canada. Trump is doing this for our country and you can bet on this. I'm sick of drugs in our country killing people everyday. Canada can just turn off oil supply to the US. The US cannot refine their own oil, they need to import oil because all their refineries are set up for the type of oil that is imported, and not their own type of oil, which is low-grade

I'd much rather have one with a pro-Canada bias than one one who seems to think he is Putin's Elon Musk.

When Americans were held hostage in Iran, it was Canada our great neighbor, who came to our rescue. Always a trusted and valued partner in war and peace. 48.2% of Americans are just holding our breath until the midterm congressional elections. We are sincerely sorry for our current lapse of common sense and Integrity. Please stand by us in our time of need.
