Although this is not the case if you have money, same as anywhere else. The same can be said if you are poor life is an awful struggle.\n\nWell except in Russia…?\n\n \n\nI have stayed in Canada on numerous occasions and I have never experienced any real cultural clashes.\n\nWell some of the newer Canadians seem to think that if anything goes against them it’s discrimination. Moreover, some of the newer Canadians are very racist towards the more established immigrants i.e. who have been living there for more generations.\n\nThe fact that some companies have “white” non-immigrant boards is reflection on the competence factor. I have experienced companies that have employed new Canadians with non-western backgrounds that are totally disasters because they have no idea about the work culture, language, way of treating staff etc.\n\nI think that you YT page is like a lesson about how immigrants from non-western countries perceive and misinterpret the west’s work culture, society and culture.\nHave experienced some new immigrant bosses who are so elitist and discriminating i resigned. Thanks for this video! \nI think that one of the biggest problems is extremely high expectations before making that change. Pun intended ;) \nI've lived in three different countries and soon moving to the fourth ie. Canada. Living in different places gives a broader view on society and helps understanding that nowhere is perfect. I think that immigrants' frustration primarly comes from the fact that we do not make enough research on what to expect when moving. You should write down pros and cons on moving, make sure you understand what are the most important things for you and check if that new country provides that. Watching videos like yours is a great way to start. It really comes down to what you want from life and if you are willing to adapt to achieve it. \nOn the other hand, Canadians' frustration might come from the fact that they never lived anywhere else :)\nAs for my top three things that disapoint me the most: Healthcare, Housing, Technology.

Whe you're in a different country, the responsibility is yours to know or find out what the laws of the land are. You cannot expect a whole nation of others to suddenly become educated about your religious practices and make way for you . If they do, that great, but it's not their responsibility. Also, having a weapon on you in an environment where others don't will put them at unease and also give you the advantage over them, in case of an altercation. How do they know if you are mentally sane or not and that you will not suddenly use it on them. Most Sikhs are wonderful and very caring people and I'm even sitting with one as I write this, but it's best we keep our religious practices to ourselves and not be in anyone's face with it, especially in a country where people are not so aware of other cultures. If he had to wear it for religious purposes, its his responsibility to have informed the university( which he may have) , but also to insist that they inform everyone else and the police of it, so as to not raise any tensions.

30-40% in taxes when you specifically say that you can see where its going and your first argument is why should I work so hard for others..........\nIf you can take your head out of your ass for a second you are part of the country and thus you will benefit. Hey. It all about choice. So let’s get it straight. The people who worked hard to build and develop Canada over the last 200 Years and paid their taxes, that’s ok. You however, feel you shouldn’t have to pay your way like Canadians. If you love your Country and the lifestyle, why did you leave it? No one twisted your arm to leave your fantastic Country and and move to this awful nasty boring and expensive Country with such uninteresting people unfriendly people. Gee, perhaps Canadians should move to your Country and not need to work, no medical expenses, no tax, and everything free. No need to work, Fantastic! What country are you people from? Hey, move to the USA by all means please and take your friends with you, so you will be one big happy group. Gee the Americans shall welcome you with open arms. As the saying goes, if you don’t appreciate what Canada has given you, that fine, just leave ASAP and be happy wherever you want to go! Actually, I have never heard such garbage from two thankless persons in my life. Just came here to down vote the video. I'm sure it's a good video and all, but you don't shit on a man's home province and expect to get a thumbs-up from him.\n\nIf you're an angler, Manitoba is hallowed ground as more master-angler species are pulled from our lakes than anywhere else. As hunting goes, we get some of the most varied big game species in all of Canada (Black bear, Moose, Elk, White Tail Deer, Forest Bison, Woods and Plain Caribou, Wolves). Cost of living is easy on the wallet, and life is just pretty chill.\n\nIf Manitobans are the least happy, it's because our Province was founded in revolution on the principal of keeping the Government out of the lives of the people and leaving the citizenry self-determinate, and when we see the people running the Province and Country forgetting that, it annoys us.

Many leave their own country, and come to Canada BECAUSE of their dislikes; extremism, culture, religion, laws, identity and in some cases backwards thinking; attempt to turn what we in society would consider as sexist, and discriminatory in some examples….\n\n…however when those same individuals finally achieve citizenship, or in some cases this starts (attempt to change Canadian law(s)) before obtaining citizenship, making moves to force the above, everything they despised, hated or disliked about their own country, into this new country ? Its like, the expectation is that we assimilate to them, not that they assimilate to their new chosen country??\n\nIt appears in some cases, going as far as attempting to rationalize why the the very thing they left their own country for, should now be a part of or have a place in Canadian society….where in any place in the World does this happen? Would it happen? Can you imagine, if I were a guest in someone else’s home, being invited over for dinner, but they had rules…like taking off your shoes when entering their home…or demanded they change their menu that they worked hard making for me to eat..or that I do not put my feet up in the coffee table or furniture…but I said, screw that, I don’t agree with their rules..I’m just going to do what I want! What would be the outcome do you think if I were to disrespect their rules?\n\nWhen Canadians have the audacity to say NO, we’re not interested in adopting …the rules/laws of the country they just abandoned…we’re now somehow insulted, or angered the guest? …the same Canada that has welcomed, provided safety, roof over their heads, food on the table, an education for their children, and provided access to our medical (albeit far from perfect) infrastructure.\n\nTo stomp their feet, bang their fist on the table when discovered that it’s expected to take four years of your life to become a doctor (which btw if you’re smart enough to become a doctor, you should be smart enough to of researched the expectations, PRIOR to coming to Canada) in the Country that YOU have chosen to spend the rest of their lives in, to have to work in a job to help support you and your families transitions,…imho, is NOT an unreasonable ask….that 4-5 years of their next 40-50+ ? Well, if that is considered a hardship, then maybe they need to rethink their intent. Maybe, the grass WAS greener in their former Country?!! \n\nI think to expect or demand to just step into or handed on a silver platter all the goodies without having to except to take the not so good…is imho ignorant, arrogant and selfish.\n\nEven with our flaws, Canada is one of the best places to live on the planet. Humanity.. never stop surprising me. If we can't stay at a place because of some damn papers, then there's no case that we think the world is our home, but what else can I expect from the system this humanity has been followed since we've been created?

I had a friend that years ago she was living in the UAE. She was expected to cover up or else. Well being the rebel she is, she dared to show her shoulders. For this act of rebellion she was cut on her arms by a group of men. \n\nThis is the reality of Muslim countries. So they leave their oppressive societies and come to the west and think we should allow them to continue this oppression here.\n\nI don't think so....like the Canadian in the UAE, they should adapt to their host country, period.

I am exercising my hard-fought-for freedom of choice to wear clothes that represent a dangerously repressive philosophy that is sworn to create a worldwide caliphate or government under god with rules and interpretation of god's word coming exclusively from men.\n\nYou dont get to vote on issues like what to wear or anything else for that matter.\n\nHow can you claim to celebrate freedom of choice when you serve a religion that gives none? How can gays worship a god that wants them dead?\n\nSeriously, do people expect to arrive at the gates of heaven with their 'revised Koran' and expect to tell god where he went wrong?

I'd like to address this to the woman who went to one of Trump's rallies dressed as a Moslem with her head covered with a scarf and having a sign that reads, 'I come in peace'. I don't know why she was asked to be escorted out, but by her own words the people in the crowd were throwing questions at her as to whether she had a bomb under her cloak. Well, whether she knew it or not, she provoked the crowd by wearing the mark of a Moslem - her cloak. Also, by going to the rally dressed the way she was, she knew before hand that she'd be treated that way. On her part, I see that as provocation. Had she gone plainly dressed or attired like everybody else, there would have been no adverse reaction toward her. I don't know what she could have said why she was asked to be escorted out, but she fully knows that the whole of America had been given the real and true picture of Islam - one of terror, murder, beheading, bombs, war, and blood. How do Moslems expect the most compassionate, kind, benevolent people in the world to act? So, please, use your common sense and do not see America as the enemy, the aggressor, or the provocateurs. They're not. They are just being vigilant knowing that the enemy could be so sly, cunning and untrustworthy. Islamic people,we welcomed you to our country. Don't think that we are not watching you. We have given you a new start for a happy life compared to the life you have had in your native lands, but we are guarding against an invasion that your evil governments have designed for our beloved country. The truth of the matter is that you are our guests in our country, and you don't have he right to demand of us what you like, especially when you want us to change our laws just to accommodate or please you. The more attacks you perpetrate against Americans, the more we will be true to our resolve to deport you. Good Moslems, show your rage against the radicals amongst you. If you don't, you'll be sorry, because willy nilly, you'll be affected too. You cannot be in America and refuse to live by the laws we live by.

My experience in Canada has been largely positive, with only minimal racial difficulties.  As a teenager, I do recall some kids making blatantly racist comments, when I was the only minority in the room; but they were silly girls, popular and full of themselves, and most of the students who heard did not laugh with them. We all knew it was wrong.  Another time I was told, by an agent, that a potential employer claimed she would not hire me because of my race.  I did not hear these words firsthand, though, so it was impossible for me to verify the truth. In the end, I let the matter alone. Other people,  I realize, have endured severe injustices; such have not been my experience, but this does not subtract from their reality.  Indeed, racism does exist, and shall remain as long as there are imbeciles wallowing in the mire of ignorance, people who cling to an absurd sense of superiority for lack of something more meaningful to hold.  As well--and it must be said!--quite likely, we all have, at some point, entertained discriminatory thoughts. 'Tis not a 'black and white' problem but a human one, and we must be mindful of it beginning with ourselves.  Canada, then, with its many inhabitants and complex history, will never be the exception. We can't expect perfection among people, here or anywhere else in the world.  Even so,  I believe there are enough fellow Canadians who strive to treat people as individuals and are happy to make friends across cultures.  My life has been and continues to be a testament to that!  Whatever our troubles, we still retain a proud heritage of diversity and progressive ethnic harmony.  We do try, and for this reason I love my country.  I am deeply patriotic and immensely proud to be part of it!
