It’s a running joke how many Indians will be living in the same house, renting from other Indians collecting money under the table in completely unsanctioned and illegal rental scenarios. Companies set up by Indians, to service Indians. So they don’t even care to present as Canadian business with English / French. I’m in the midst of charting my family’s exit from Canada. It’s become something entirely unrecognizable. Where those who know how to game the system get ahead, those of us who play the rules - stay behind. I’ve worked my way up to being upper middle class. East Coast Canadian here. Thankfully the non existent provinces beyond eastern Quebec are thankful it's not as bad here. The majority of TimHorton's & Wendy's employees are flown into the Charlottetown airport, housed & trained on site & then spreadout across the country from there. The Government is paying the majority of their minimum wage and business owners pay pennies for them! They will also work more hours than others. As an American, I am ignorant about Canada and its immigration policy, and so wonder how much stated in this video are lies due to racism, and how much is true? For example, the Indians who come to the US are vetted, are educated, and work hard. Since the 90s, most of the Indians who come to the US are not Punjabi Sikhs, nor are they Muslim. Punjabis came earlier, but since the tech boom, most who come are Hindus usually from Southern India. About 20% are also Christian. These Hindu and Christian Indians from Southern India are model minorities. Think of these kids who do well in the Spelling Bee. No crime, no trash, just educated hard working folks. Especially here where I am in San Jose, CA. So are these Canadians lying, or are the type of Indians who go to Canada worse? Those with fake diploomas or Sikhs claiming refugee status due to their religion and not being safe in Hindu India? Something is amiss bc how can these Indian immigrants be so different? If Canada is not vettung their immigrants why not? I also know that a coworker of mine who is from Southern India, his niece recently secured a visa to Canada and she is a Radiation Oncologist, an occupation Canada is in need of.
