Why Colombian farmers choosed to grow coca plants? They grow like a weed. Why they choose to process the plant and sell the paste? Is easy to do it, and easy to stored. The best thing for them is that the cartels just go to pick up a little bag that weighs 3 ponds and pay a nought money to the farmers to support their families, right there in the spot!!. If the farmer's cultivate vegetables, plantains, or any other produce, is no way for them to move their produce out of their farms. Is not an infrastructure of roads or any other system that is helping them to get their products out from their farms and the worse is that they do not get paid a fare price for their products. I don't know of a country that quotes your salary after tax because it depends on many factors. They say, people from western countries create more carbon emissions than people in India, Bangladesh etc and in order to ensure green transformation of energy, birthrate must(?) fall. \n\nThere are also other reasons that we live in difficult times. While affordability is def an issue there are a number of facts thrown around on this video that are making me question the data points being used. $3k rent sure, if you're downtown Vancouver and live on your own in a newer building with amenities which is what a friend of mine pays in Yaletown. But then I have a friends in KITS paying $1600, Main St $1500, Surrey $1100. There is not 7% of the population emigrating to the US. The rent can't be increased by $7000 as stated by the two girls, it's capped at around 3% annually, so not sure what the real context around that clip is. The girl who took a year to get housing at UBC - presumably she was renting somewhere else in Vancouver, I doubt she was living out of her car . Sounds like this was made with the most sensational examples which really undercts the video because I can't trust the other information about things I don't directly know. Having said that red tape has made building in Vancouver difficult and population growth has put huge pressure on the housing and rental market. Foreign investment purchases of housing has probably driven up the prices more than anything in Vancouver and as stated it has been linked to money laundering from drug money. It's the most expensive city in Canada btw, so while prices are high across the country, Vancouver is the worst of the lot, even worse than Toronto, so hardly an average example to look at.

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. India is one of the fastest economy in the world they will need to be representing as in many countries in the world . I personally think Canadians gets confused thinking they are muslims and they are not. If i have to choose i would certainly prefer them instead of bringin so many muslims from muslims countries around the world because they will never adapt to other cultures. Indian people are so adaptable to other countries more that any country in the world. I don't live in Canadá or any other country. I. Have been waiting for my Canada visitor visa for more than two years now so I don't know what is going on

Do you know where the tax money goes to illegal immigrants who defame your country and even want to destroy and hate you? They get a pension for two years and get an apartment for two years with paid rent and also a supermarket money card. The people are the ones who rule, not one person. You can immortalize a great memory for generations to fight anyone who spends your money on someone else. The money should be spent on the people and the country. Taxes can be sent to the people by reducing the cost of oil, electricity or real estate.

If the situation was reversed, we were living in an impoverished country and were invited to immigrate to another country with better opportunities, I know damn well Canadians would jump at it, so I can't blame Indians for coming here. The fault lies squarely on Trudeau for bringing in more immigrants than Canada's population can handle and even more so, not providing housing driving housing prices and rents up. As far as pooping on the beach goes, I am sorry, where there is smoke there is usually fire and as even bleeding heart Liberals have claimed, it is acceptable in India, so pretty good chance someone took liberties here. As far as I am concerned, if you choose to immigrate to a country, you should follow it's laws. It may have just been one or two Indians who did, but as ambassadors of your country, you are responsible for people's perception of you and hatred directed towards your people as a result of your actions is your responsibility, not our fault.

The headline is misleading as everyone knows citizenship can not be demanded. What these entitled foreign students are demanding is perm residency via extended work permits. Extending permits to five years (as they've demanded) would DESTROY the Canadian economy and have a permanent effect on Canadian identity as well as no end to the housing crisis. Furthermore, many of these students who originate from India's two most poorest and crime ridden states: Punjab and Gujarat, will contribute to the growth of crime cartels, such as the thriving car theft ring targeting cars in the Toronto GTA and the Air Canada gold heist that took place at Toronto Pearson Airport in 2023 resulting in the largest theft in Canadian history ($22.5 million). Guess what country where all six suspect are from ? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

As a South Africa working in Germany on a skilled worker visa, it was not the easiest to get the visa even with a job offer and working remotely for the company for more than two years. \n\nI agree with the three points to improve.\n\nBut Germany is expensive, even if you get a cheap apartment and live on bread and one eat meat twice a week, it’s expensive, you keep on paying taxes or fines for things you don’t even know and or use.\n\nThe dream of living in a safe EU country is also becoming something of the past with increased violent crimes and the far right movement. \n\nMy plan was to save more money and buy a property in Germany, but on arrival I had to use my savings to pay for the massive deposit on an apartment and an over priced apartment at that. But housing is limited so you must take what you can get. \n\nThe “free” healthcare is pathetic in comparison to what I paid for private healthcare in South Africa, and I pay more for the healthcare in Germany than I did back home and you have less benefits.\n\nThe only reason I am here is as my home country doesn’t have employment for someone like me, and that makes me somewhat sad. But hence why I need to appreciate how privileged I am to be living in Germany.

Canada is not taking advantage of population increase. See in another perspective, if Canada improves their high speed trains and buses, more people will visit more places, dying mining cities will revive etc. If you can reach within one to two hours from far cities, people working in Toronto will look for far places to live. Regarding Brampton, our councillors don't know what is needed for this City. Go and check Kennedy Road from Queen Street to Steel. There is no development. No university in Brampton. Easy to complain. But there is lot development needed in Brampton.

I know you are young but if you are planning on leaving Canada, consider the potential repercussion on your old age security (OAS) benefits. If you are living outside Canada, you must have resided in Canada for at least 20 years since the age of 18. Not a showstopper but something to consider. Remember, unlike CPP, OAS benefits are given to qualified individuals regardless of their work history. Even at 38, you would still be young enough to begin a new career in a foreign country and accrue enough work credits to qualify for their social security. This means you could potentially have two sources of income in retirement. That's on top of your CPP or any other personal retirement funds you may have with your employer(s).

It’s not a hatred as much as is their way to get things. For example jobs. You marry Indian so you see matters from a different perspective, their prospective. I remember one significant situation in one of a dealership place where I bought a car. There was only one Indian representative there working. Two years later I saw only Indian men working there. The way how they pushed other people away from jobs and hired their own kind, that enjoys me so much. And one more thing if we allows that many students from only one country, you think is fair for others young people not to be able to come here and study. And last but not least if we allowed Indian students in such numbers to come what do you think Canada will look like in 10 years, I know “another India “

Safe to skip to 16:05\nGermany either needs to change their terms on accepting new workforce by being actually English friendly on street level, or they need to enforce language skill level BEFORE people actually arriving here. It is either that or the other there is no middle ground here. Unless one or the other actually happens problem will just continue, my guess this is indefinite. Because government is not interested to solve problems for so long.\nGermany needs people like Ozan the most as he has the most similarity to Germans who emigrate Germany (talented, well educated, world citizen, knows the market around the region). People like them don't hold themselves down and just to accept the fact that Germany is at best being an average country. So they just move on. The other two examples have already too much to lose (wife and kids, and husband) and they are here just to survive.

My friend’s family bought a house with tenant two years ago. Big red flag Ik. For the past two years they didn’t pay a single penny in rent. They’ve been fighting to get them evicted but they give excuses to not show up at court. Even accused the judge of being racist to delay the eviction process. Finally they got evicted by Marshall last week. They owe over $60k in rents. Now they have to sue to recover the rent. After paying lawyers to get them evicted, god knows how they’re gonna recover any money. \n\nThis is in NYC, it’s a messed up system. And it’s not gonna change anytime soon.

l am watching this in 2024, and wondering why the uk government doesn't have the same stance today with the Muslim community. THey are a push over and have no backbone. We had not communicated in a long time BUT... I think you were surprized how much you enjoyed to exploration of Russia a few years ago but quality of life was very good then but even better now, but retaining the unmatched access to culture, very low cost of living much lower crime rate than Canada/US/Europe, and cost of living about 1/10th of Canada, great health and easy to get a residency and citizenship due to being from Ukraine originally. For your travels, it is a little more complicated due to US sanctions but from here in St Petersburg it is really easy to travel by bus to Estonia and fly anywhere in the world. Estonia is the cheapest cost of living in the Baltic. I have flown to California several times using that route and to London the flight is $50 euros. \nAlthough you explored a lot here there is so much more to see and experience.\nThere is no doubt the western countries that relied on cheap labor and resources from colonies are all in a downward spiral and the east is rising. All the BRICS countries have positive growth in quality life and economic growth and a total of 108 countries have either applied or expressed serious interest in joining the largest trade block in history while the US empire fades at an accellerating rate. I would not go back the the crime, homelessness, anger, poverty of the US but have family business to take care of every 4-5 years. The decline is not a temporary downturn, the banking collaps that is accelerating now and impossible to pay back debt, it is really sad to see how the US is turning out. When growing up in California we had everything , really the golden state but is a wreck now. I left Canada in 2013 to live in the Philippines with my wife and two children, now I am moving back to Canada next month. I have over 30 years of work experience in Canada and I know that I can survive there. My plan is to return and contribute to the local economy, there are still many opportunities in my homeland. For me i don't think Canada is really bad at all i know everything is becoming expensive but not everything yes the house is expensive but for me right now i am already retired I'm 66 years old my house i already paid off i live in milton just outside of Toronto the only problem is my two sons but both of my son have a good job my oldest son he worked as computer software developer and my youngest son he worked as computer data in downtown Toronto now my plan i want to go back to my birth country Cambodia for my retirement from November to March April I come back to Canada to see my childrens and grandchildrens this is just plan but remember Canada still the best country to live compare to some other countries good luck to you Alina . From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. I am stuck here now, with little financial resource to fight for my child's life. It is unfortunate that no one will read my comment because it is an inscrutable wall of text or too frightening. Unless someone reads it, no help will come for my daughter. (Because she is a dual citizen, the local Polish Ambassador will not step in - another drawback for having a Canadian passport). I left Canada in 2021 and came back this week for the first time. I am in complete shock I honestly don’t know how people survive. I bought a TRAVEL SIZE conditioner, soap, eyebrow pencil and toothpaste and the total was $47 at shoppers ??. I went to a restaurant with a friend. we shared a meal and got two kid size meals for her kids and 2 glasses of wines . The total was almost $200. Since I’ve been abroad for a while I wanted to go to the doctors and utilize my work insurance. Impossible! Wait time is 3-4 weeks just for an initial meeting. It would be easier for me to pay out of pocket abroad than use the “free” services Canada ( and my job) offers. I have no children and work in tech and I’m grateful but even working in this field I wouldn’t be able to have a quality life living here. It’s so sad I was born and raised here but I see no future for myself in Canada.

So how are you going to keep those workers with the political situation against immigration being what it and you know, the high cost of everything? Like we all know employers aren't about to pay those immigration workers high wages. Am sure one or two will be dragging large bags but the majority are going to be in the same boat as the people who left found themselves.

Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

Im in BC . I got rid of the tenants cuz they would be late. Filled 15 non payment / late payment notices with the tenancy branch and delivered to tenant. The tenancy branch did absolutely NOTHING. 8 months later and loosing $36, 000 I made the decision to never rent ever. I got Airbnb license and am glad I made the right choice. I make the same rental income with no headache, and less use of the house. My two friends who had rental properties just stopped renting and sold them and put their monies into other businesses. Id say if you are renting, sell them and do something else cuz its a no win situation in canada. These politicions know there are more renters to give them the votes.
