In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, socialism is mathematically impossible to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

some of your facts on 'racism' might be more a matter of spewing out liberal narratives on the subject as has been a popular topic for votes and generating upset, money etc etc. ... but go a bit deeper, and the reasons may not have much to do w racism. do you think it could simply be parenting, choices, skills, etc etc.. To quickly blame someone that doesn't even know the person - and say the white person is racist and racism is the reason is not right or fair. There is something called reality. $$ is not just handd out - but if one wants to pursue it - they can.. but it doesn't just get equally distributed?

My Grandparents sold their second house in Florida because of the fear of an unexpected medical emergency that might happen while they were down there for the winter. Honestly... this may be the reason for the decline of Florida over the past 20 years... Simply less Canadians that spend time down there brightening the lives of the locals with their annoyingly optimistic selves.

I live in Toronto. I simply cannot reasonably afford it. I've already witnessed close friends forced into homelessness, for about two years now without fixed address, and unable to secure a bed through the primary homeless shelter hotline, which you have to call repeatedly to even have a chance. My friends were homeless due to a lack of affordable rent options. Lack of rent control in Toronto has been insane for quite some time, it seems criminal really that price gouging is allowed like this.

As an ethnic Punjabi, I hope the violence of 1980s doesn't return. That's what i've been saying, we need economic reform. Whenever i've raised my concerns for the punjab's issue, i've been called anti national, terrorists by the Indians. Sadly everything you shared is pretty accurate. I got got followed to my work place by a stranger I met in the TTC streetcar. He proceeded with attempted to assault me in the building of my workplace. This left me traumatized for months, thank goodness I overcame my fear of riding the TTC. On the question of rent, it’s insane it actually may force some people to stay in bad situations just so they can maintain the living conditions they are accustomed to like staying in toxic relationships or terrible roommate situations…etc. I did get very lucky, moving in 2022 from living with a roommate to living on my own in a bachelor same area and really nice area in Mimico by the Lake for a rent of only $1400. Simply because my landlords are an old couple not greedy at all who prioritize having a good tenant over making extra cash but having to deal with different tenants every few months just because people cannot sustain the increase of living in Toronto plus paying their bills and rent. So there is hope, if you can find a landlord that has these values you won the lottery. I’m hoping things change for the better in Toronto, there’s no reason why the city cannot tackle all these issues in a more efficient way. But like sometimes I think of moving to a smaller city and if it weren’t for my current rent which is very low for the time we’re in, I would have moved to a cheaper province a long time ago. The main reason why Indians come to Canada is simply because USA has shut them off. If USA opens its doors today , Canada will bear a deserted look....Plain and simple.

Fearing that your child will be shot in school in the US is not baseless. Being shot at school is now the number one cause of death for American children. That simply is not an issue here and a primary reason most would not move there.

Better education? The only reason these so called adults (18 YO) come to Canada is for iPhone, Apple Watch and expensive cars with custom number plates. Their ego is skyrocketed with simply working at a food joint. They consider themselves way above what they are made to do here and their attitude makes it very evident. This doesn't apply to all but a significant chunk. Stop international students if they are coming here for some rubbish arse program or unless they don't prove they have skills to contribute professionally and not just flip patties at food junctions. Quality over quantity.

You ignored a major reason of the severe housing crisis. Chinese citizens buy up huge amounts of, specifically condos. And then they lay empty, because the condo is an investment, and if someone lives in it, they could damage it, lowering the value. These condos are then sold to other chinese citizens, each time they are sold the price goes up. When someone finally re-enters the market the asking price is far above the actual worth because the condo has been traded around to make sure everyone makes a profit. In BC, to try to fight there there is both an empty home tax and a foreign buyer tax. Meanwhile new high end condos continue to get built which are simply bought up by Chinese owners. I know a building manager in Vancouver, who showed me just how empty her building actually is.\n\nAnd for anyone who thinks I'm being racist by targeting Chinese citizens. Ask yourself why would real estate agencies have billboards entirely in Mandarin. Why do real estate websites have devoted sections entirely in Mandarin, but not one for French, an actual official language.

Hmm I wonder why difficult technical jobs are relatively low paying in Canada. Oh right because you're in competition with the entire world, not just other Canadian citizens born and raised in Canada. Canada is effective subsidized the whole world and artificially lowering their own employment standards. As sad as it sounds, there will always be someone talented from a developing nation willing to do your very difficult job which you studied years to be able to do, for barely above the cost of living, because this is still better than their career and life trajectory in their own nation. How many big tech firms in the US have fired thousands of US employees in austerity moves, only then to apply for H1B visa a week later. Why educate, train, employ, and pay fairly American workers, when you can find an immigrant willing to do it for half the price. I'm pro immigration and even pro high special immigration, but the cutoff for H1B visa salaries should be 50% higher than prevailing wages in similar roles. If this position is so specialized and in demand that there simply aren't enough native populations available to do it and schools simply aren't training it, then supply and demand homie, go pay for it. Oil, gas, and petroleum engineering is a great example of this - the US barely teaches this anymore despite there being demand, so we have to hire foreign nationals. Engineering and medicine are examples of oligarchs finding ways to extract the most capital by exploiting people as much as possible. Why pay a reasonable wage for really difficult jobs, when you can find a foreigner willing to do it for barely enough to cover groceries and rent.

I absolutely have to agree, U.S. Immigration Policy needs an update. Most of the policy we have today settled during the anti-immigration 90s and terrorism-scared 2000s. It was an era guided by fear more than statistics. It's no surprise that when you throw more and more money at a border and simply make it rarer for an immigrant to come legally, that the reasons for people wanting to come here doesn't stop existing.

As a Canadian i can 100% assure you that our immigration system is broken. The reason for the ridiculous housing prices and low incomes is due to a surplus of labour. Because of how many Indians are coming to Canada, my country has become unlivable. Im in the process of moving south. I and most of my friends and family simply can't afford to live here anymore. While you use wages as an argument, this doesn't account for Australia being lower. Australians may gt paid less in high positions, but not most other positions. In fact pay in Australia is higher than Canada.\nSalary is simply NOT the reason why people immigrate to the US.

I think the only reason I would consider moving to the states is because of this shopping. Especially the grocery shopping. We simply don't have the same breadth and depth of choices to make. But I can live without them! ?

I live just outside of Montreal, pretty near the border. One of my good friends used to live in Vermont, right near the border and we would visit each other several times a year. She moved to Tennessee, and I flew down to visit her a few years ago (haven't been down since COVID) while Trump was still president and I'm not even joking when I say that as soon as I left Nashville I was highly anxious 100% of my time there. And I'm white, I'm not a visible minority, I suppose if I kept my mouth shut nobody could tell I'm not from there, it really hit me how sad it is that I even felt that. All these patriotic gun toting Americans I feared would shoot me for whatever reason they could come up with. I understand that that's not ACTUALLY likely, I was glad I left my husband and children at home, and while I enjoyed my weekend there I couldn't WAIT to get back home. New England was easier to handle, but I'm not cut out for the openly racist, homophobic, anti women's rights, you name it kind of discussions. I was horrified that not only do people ACTUALLY think like this, but those who are being oppressed, or those who simply support those being oppressed are having to keep quiet for fear of being murdered because of this. Nashville was really cool, I loved it, but I truly feared for my safety outside of the city, despite being a straight white woman. I can't imagine what it's like for the minorities, it's so sad. It’s horrific how these ppl are forced to live, that is NOT life..reading the comments, it’s disheartening to see. Put yourselves in their shoes! Ask yourself many questions. We are seeing this right now because the entire world knows that our borders are wide open and everyone is welcome. We've become the laughing stock of the planet for more than one reason... The people coming in know that they aren't going to get shot so why not try? Worst case scenario they'll just get sent home. My heart tells me that everyone deserves a chance for a better life in our country but my brain tells me we are full up folks! It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

Great video! Another issue is childcare for working parents. There is no free childcare for working couples, both parents have to work to afford bills and the mother staying at home is not an option for the majority of working class Canadians since life is too expensive. For this reason a lot of people decide not to have children in this country simply because of unaffordability. Considering all the taxes Canadians pay this would greatly help people. The government gladly keeps bringing more and more new people into Canada ( mostly to get voters) but ignores the needs of existing Canadians. Not only you cannot find a house to live or afford one but having a family is nearly impossible without 3 or 4 jobs and using the food bank because after paying the rent there is no money to buy food.

I’ve watched the video and I’ve read many comments. My message it’s to immigrants, Canadians & everyone. Just be some patient to read for you to think reasonable after this. I’m sure you’ll start to be reasonable regarding Canada. I had a good life good job & a nice home in Ukraine. Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. I rent an apartment for my family, without to proof to the landlord that I’m the best guy in the world with a witnessed county about that!!! I want you to be sure, that I am not the lonely case. Just ask Ukrainians stied in Europe for a while before they move recently. Just ask them. I am not saying it’s a paradise or cons don’t exist. Just paradise doesn’t exist! And cons are everywhere. Just I want you to be fair about Canada. Please, be reasonable! The cons in Canada are not catastrophic, and it’s not difficult to fix them. It may take some time, but not difficult. Believe me it’s not about only Canada. The whole world is going a step back! I wish that my experience, helps to understand appropriately.

After reading the comments it's funny how people still thinks where you are born or your country origin is home. Imagine thinking that's the definition of home to begin with, sometimes I Just shake my head when I see people using such content to define home. Home dosen't necessarily have to be your country origin or whatsoever. I personally would define home as anywhere with the best of contents I seek along with my Characteristics being blended. \nAlso I don't get why people are criticizing those who said they won't come back, they have there various reasons for moving abroad, it might be for a better life, academic, security and lots other stuffs. If they wanna go back to there home country then good and fine but if they wanna stay and migrate, it's also Good. Migration has always been a thing right from the time of Abraham so in essence allow those who wants to migrate to migrate, they are not the cause of your problems or to why your home country has bad governance. Truly terrible leader guy just admitted by all the immigration him and his liberals have done since 2015 are the fault of home construction companies and the reason for high housing prices... I think my biggest worry is healthcare in Canada with all the immigration you need more Doctors and Nurses It’s a lot of years of hard work and education to be part of that job profession and many are burnt out because of covid 19 The healthcare system in Canada simply can’t keep up with the amount of immigration coming into Canada

I grew up in Edmonton and left Canada 30 years ago because the Edmonton Police simply would not leave me alone. I couldn't even drive my car around the block without winding up in a courtroom. The police harassed my parents for years after I left hoping to find me. (i.e. STAASI). Now I live in subtropical Australia and still drive the same Oldsmobile. I never have legal problems here and at one stage owned three houses. In Canada I am labelled as a racist but here I have a Chinese wife and my daughter is fluent in Mandarin. The reason that taxes are so high in Canada is that Multiculturalism costs money. Every time some monument or cultural center is built, someone has to pay for it. My greatest disdain of Canadian society is the political correctness. I remember before 1984 when one could tell a joke without fear of incrimination.

a landlord can not rent to whoever they choose for any reason they choose. the biggest racial judgement is the one made by supposed 'minorities' that just because youre born white, you have life easier than other people. i am native american, canadian & irish, & i am fully white. by 16 i had buried both parents & was living on my own, at 9 i was picking cucumbers with migrant workers, if racial profiling is bad, how bad is the assumption that others have a easier life than you simply because theyre white?

It depends what You mean by racism. Off course there are different races. And statistics proove that or that. But we have to come to each person indyvidually and have respect and credit off trust.I am white living in Europe. I have the same experience in markets. Sometimes they observe me when I walk too long. Sometimes the reason is simply: Ican not find what I am looking for! Especially in drugstore. And it has nothing to do with a skin colour. Another thing is that bored staff have a kind of fun with clients searching for thief. In some markets even they hire special guard. I heard their slang: There is a falcon, there is a falcon! Which means: If somebody is circling too long is suspect and can be a thief.

Some countries have poor economies. The reasons are what they are. It’s a fact of life. No one has the right to a better life abroad. This is just reality. It’s not fair and it’s not easy to accept. The refugee claim is simply not true for countries not at war. Central America is not at war. Economic migration is legitimate only for those who qualify by expertise and education. Canada is wide open to Chinese, Indian, and Philippine immigration. All others are tightly restricted. That’s just how it is.

These conservatives in the comment section are such snowflakes. If anything bad happens to a liberal then its just life, but when capitalism and the idea yall like to preach about, survival of the fittest, bites uall in the ass, then it's a problem. If a person with no skills and launguage can outperform you, then it's simply survival of the fittest. Capitalism requires the strongest to improve the economy, it does not need patriotic lazy dumbasses who wanna work desk jobs and dont want to dirty their hands. If you think sharia laws is only meant for them, you are so wrong. They can legitimately get rid of us simply by applying their laws. Its a very very very big Trojan horse. Every country that receives these immigrants experience the same set of problems, and it always end with them trying to establish sharia law. Ask yourself this, they all come from different countries, they all end up in different countries and yet they all say the same thing, at almost the same time? Its a worldwide movement. Lebanon also used to accept refugees. And they are applying the same proven formula this time.\n\nI had seen a video before about someone saying they started this worldwide plan somewhere around 1995, but i had forgotten which video it was already.\n\nAll non-islamic countries should come together secretly and derive a once and for all plan. Please keep your uninsightful comments to yourselves. For some reason Americans feel it is their right to critique other countries that they are not in agreement with. We hear you but simply don't listen to you. Here's a simple fact you may be able to wrap your minds around. The world has changed. You cannot simply pick a time out of history and say that you want to go back to the way things were some 70 years ago. A despot has decided to ethnically cleanse his country ... for seven years that i, and as such human beings by nature are of the mindset they'd prefer to live and try to seek a better life for themselves and their families. But you don't focus on that fact. You focus on the nickels and dimes being spent on accommodation. We get it, you don't like people putting a burden on your system. The USA... wealthiest nation on the earth would prefer to not allow migrants into their county. You could afford to open up your country but are fearful of the financial burden and I have seen some Americans question why these illegals are getting free food and education on our dime. Consider an investment in your future. In 50 years the amount of money spent on these migrants fleeing from desperate situations is a paltry sum Mr Scrooge. BUT if one of those people makes a dramatic difference to your country then think how far ahead you will be. \nThe alternative is to send back the refugees or illegals and wish them well. That would be a catastrophic waste of potential life. So are you really worried about hotel costs in the grand scheme of things. Are your really? Pitiful.

So wait... this guy has spent fifteen years in another country as an illegal immigrant because he refused to enter by normal laws, all the while apparently not having learned a single lick of English while he was there (or simply refused to)... and now he's complaining because he 'made a mistake' of illegally immigrating AWAY from said country?\n\nFolks, I'm starting to think there might be a damn good reason why people like this are 'illegal' in the first place. I've traveled all over the world and have noticed racism exists in all races and nationalities. Most racism occurs because people are in fear and loathing of each other. The reason is simply because we're comfortable among our own kind and when confronted or meeting someone different than we are we behave differently around them. Most often giving way to our prejudices and stereotypes. Instead of treating each other as human beings and individuals, we give in to racism.

I don't want Islam in my country, not because I hate them but because religions have their own set of moral principles and beliefs, Islam is clearly not compatible to our secular system. I'm not religious myself and I live in the west coast where there are few muslims, but just based from the discussions I've had with transfer students that come to my university I already don't like what I hear. They were nice, kind of, but all of them had backwards ideas. If you need a better reason to be against it, simply read the first few pages from the Quran, it is deplorable, more so then the bible. \n\nIf they want to integrate, their beliefs need to be reformed like Christians have centuries ago.
