Please keep in mind, that all the issues we have in Canada are because of Trudeau. He's been in power for almost a decade. The widespread drug abuse and crime is because of him being weak on policy and handing out drugs like candy paid by tax payers. More people died from fentanyl in Canada than our soldiers in WWII. That is all on his watch. He is only making these changes because of Trump. What kind of a leader is Trudeau to only become Canada first when a person from outside the country threatens him? How is more sobriety a bad thing Trudeau? This might be fantastic for people who drink alcohol to make a break with the booze they have been needing. \n\nThe rest of us, who don't buy Canadian goods nor own or invest in American alcohol won't feel anything. Canadian here. Wake up Canadians. Many people are praising Trudeau for this speech. Don't. He is out as Liberal leader within the week. He doesn't have to follow through on anything he said. Plus, he just stated that he's smart enough to suggest that Trump just put a 25% tax on Canadian goods for Americans but he also thinks that you are dumb enough not to realize that he just put a 25% tax on Canadians for American goods. Trudeau basically created the situation for these tariffs (open border to let anyone come here). He loves this as he gets to take the apparent moral high ground for the first time in his life and wants this speech to be the way he is remembered rather than years of failing Canada. Forget about the last 9 years and vote Liberal if you are a fool.

President Trump and you need to work it all out. As far as blanket tariffs go, I do agree that your goods and services, including tariffs should be mutually broken down to create benefits for all. Part of my lineage is from Quebec, and here USA. We all need to help each other. Laser focus to arrest and put in prison all drug terrorists should be everyone's focus. The wars elsewhere are sidetracking the two of you from standing side by side with one another, as you mention you usually do.
