As an immigrant i can't stand what's going on in canada. I work so much and i am barely paying my bills please stop the mass immigration to Canada before my country is ruined

Even the immigrants who are here in Canada are asking for mass immigration to stop and only take quality immigrants who will add value to this country.

Why do we keep saying international students? Helping to mask the very clear disproportionate Indian cohort that has walked into this country for immigration purposes (not sure who decided it should essentially be all Indians, but I don't think it was the Canadian people). Let's stop being shy.\nAlso, a word of warning against Indians...once they get into low level management positions, guess who they hire at the exclusion of everyone else? The labour shortage is because the welfare hand out system is too generous. Stop these hand outs and these people will work and then no need for mass immigration. It’s this simple.

We're in a deep crisis in Canada. The absurd covid lockdowns started big inflation, made worse by the absurd sanctions against Russia which raised energy costs which raises the price of everything, AND the disastrous huge mass immigration to Canada which raises the price of housing through the roof, and overwhelmed the health care system. STOP all immigration to Canada right NOW, and until the multiple crisis have been repaired. Defund NATO.

Several factors played a role in the housing crisis. Governments stopped building new affordable homes long time ago. Many rental apartments have been converted into condominiums. And the ones still in the market have seen ownership consolidation over the last decade. Many existing condominium/house renters have chosen short term Airbnb over long term renters. A not-so-insignificant percentage of home/condominium buyers choose not to rent or live in properties they buy. They hold them like commodities such as gold and silver. On top of all these, you have mass immigration over the last decade.

They need to stop the conveyor belt. Do we even know who is coming into our country? Mass immigration is destroying western countries around the world.

The best governed Provinces are led by conservatives . \nYou mentioned Alberta. Alberta is the only province where mortgages are still within 1990s rates. \n\nOntario is Run by Chinese. And they don't like black people so do not blame conservatives. \n\nAlberta is the most attractive province for immigration. \nSaskatchewan too life is still easy here. \nThe housing mess was caused by liberals' poor maths. \n\nThe most group of people who get affected by mass immigration is black people. If you’d been honest about this invasion from the BEGINNING of Biden’s regime instead of covering it up, it wouldn’t be like this. This exact thing has been happening for more than TWO YEARS! Some don’t even get the paperwork for court, they just let them in en masse. Thank God Abbott finally saw some video that made him put the TX NG down there and get something in place to help stop them. This is a total mess, a total disgrace and egregious transgression on our Sovereignty. Biden is supposed to protect us, not allow an invasion. Pure and utter STUPIDITY and TREASON. Our immigration laws have been run through the shredder. They’re gone. I believe in LEGAL immigration, abiding by the laws and doing it the right, legal, and lawful way. Not this. No….I’m not a right wing hard case, I’m a somewhat conservative Independent. But I know right from wrong and I believe I have a moral compass to live by.

Why isn't the government working with the countries where the migrants are coming from? A treaty or an accord should be negotiated with Mexico (even though there's almost 1 million Americans residing in Mexico), Central America and northern South America and stop this mass migration to our border! This should have been done 10 years ago. The border towns will become, are, deportation zones, dysentery, human trafficking and dead immigrants, by the US, murders from infighting or consumption. Unfortunately, there must be some hidden agenda we're not privy to why the obvious deterrent isn't obvious! ?

Over 300,000 homeless veterans wander the streets searching for food and shelter currently. Dying at an estimated rate of 22 a day due to self inflicted harm….the system in place to take care of them and provide comprehensive medical care is crippled and broken….every SINGLE ONE of these men and women has a head full of bad memories and experiences from defending their country in war (some missing limbs)….can’t hold a job and have trouble finding a job….NOONE is making substantial and reinforced efforts to care for these brave men and women. Yet, if you cross that border illegally you’re given shelter (free stay at 5star hotels in NYC sound nice)…comprehensive medical care…food stamps and even job placement for some. And in some cases, we’re providing that help to individuals who are simply making a pit stop between Mexico and Canada because it’s better for them there according to some. Frankly, we have enough issues that are swallowing us whole and need to focus on building up and caring for our own citizens and force stop mass migration, strongly enforce deportation as well as employing more case workers to help with legal immigration process. We spend all this money sending to Ukraine and yet here we are, cutting our own throats to save someone else’s hand. I have no issue with legal immigration and asylum but you need to go through the process like those before you. I know this is asking a lot but it IS possibly to make it work

If we want to stop mass immigration we must create opportunities where mass immigration emanate from. America is the land of plenty and immigration. It is a fabricated mechanism for wealth creation. It's original purpose was intended for exclusive and not inclusive purposes. The earth was created for impossible exclusivity. No individual can physically exist infinitely, so why attempt to control resources that existed before those who try. trying to control earth is like trying to control any other planet in our universe. Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

SMH! The comment section is a daunting place. The central American government needs to be held accountable for the mass exists. History repeats itself - just like the forefathers left for the Americas because of persecution, economics, and social injustices. These immigrants are somewhat doing the same thing. Islam is a vile, pernicious ideology that has considerably eroded the quality of life in all Western countries it has come in contact with. It has led to the mass rape of local children (think Britain and Australia), terrorism, and general disdain toward non-believers. At the very least, even if the majority of Muslims are moderate (and numerous polls have shown otherwise), they exhibit disproportionately high unemployment rates and are significant recipients of welfare relative to other groups, so I certainly do not see any economic rationale behind mass Muslim immigration either. We must stop importing Islam into our great nation before it is too late. I commend the few politicians who have had the common sense and audacity to speak out in this regard.
