Can someone please tell Trump Canada is our friend. They have given lives in our wars. They are going to find other customers for their oil while our auto industry will be trashed. They will find other countries to buy their lumber while the cost of building American homes soars. It will be easy for Canada, Mexico and China to come out ahead in this trade war. Trump’s understanding of economics and international trade is at the sixth grade level- and not a very bright sixth grader. Finally where is Trumps plan to protect American families and workers? Where is the national resolve to work together to get through this?

Most of you dont know what's going on Trudeau has a bad approval rating and there is more to the story. Trump is fighting on your side Americans yet you fight against him. You want lower prices but think that comes from debt of the US you want less drugs but belive the president that has free use in their country to do any drug imaginable right next to the border.

I have never felt more proud to be a Canadian, it’s a good feeling, I was almost brought to tears earlier thinking about it. And it’s interesting to note that it is overriding the fear of the consequences of Donald’s actions. Here’s where I can’t help but think of you, our fellow North Americans. The good people of the USA, I hold you in my heart. For you don’t have that boost that comes from feeling proud of your country. I can’t say I’ve ever known what that is like. Hey Canada/Trudeau if you don’t want the tariffs from President Trump then remove your limiting factors on American goods to equal the playing field! Maybe these tariffs and our President may finally get you to allow into Canada as much as we do into the USA! Trying to play a game of tariff against President Trump will not do Canadians any good. All Trump has been asking for all along is for Canada & Mexico to DO THEIR PART in stemming the illegal immigration and Fentanyl from crossing into the United States. Nearly 100,000 Americans die each year from Fentanyl overdoses. The raw ingredients come from China and into their respective nations, where they are processed and made into Fentanyl, then brought into the U.S. Neither nation has taken Trump seriously and Biden didn't give a crap and actually assisted with bringing in more of everything. Now both nations get to deal with the results of their inactions. Remember, these are reciprocatory tariffs to simply equal what American goods are charged by Canada & Mexico already. NOW everyone is on an equal playing field. If these nations want lower tariffs, they can go first and then the U.S. will match it to theirs... It's that simple.

It's not the tariffs on all of the US's former allies but that he has dumped its allies to appease Trumps good friend Putin. I really believe that it just comes down to Trump feeling resentment that he will never be part of a perceived 'inner circle' of establishment world leaders.
