What do they think Donald Trump‘s gonna put a 25% terra tax on Canada if they don’t quit letting illegals cross the border and go into New York. Trump will most definitely send ice to New York and get rid of everyone of them. He also said that anybody that harbors Illegal immigrants. It’s a crime and they will be removed from office and put in prison. I think that’s a good idea. He’s going to put an into immigrants coming into our country and freeloading off the American people. I don’t blame him. I feel the same way. Get them the hell out of our country.???♂️?♂️?

We just can't build a wall for the whole huge Canadian border. Also, they are still crossing over the Mexican border state of the art wall/fence with ladders. The ONLY solution is to have a huge border patrol force that will be guaranteed to catch and arrest all illegal aliens. Then, the illegal aliens will be either instantly deported after paying a significantly large fine to the US Treasury OR if they cannot or won't pay the fine, sentenced to a dentention camp for a set length of time as a punishment, maybe one year of hard labor and minimalistic amenities-that is, NO MORE EBT cards, no more lux hotels. Once their detention sentence is completed, they will be quickly and efficiently deported to either their own country of origin or Canada or Mexico. IF it's done right, I don't think there will be many repeat offenders.

Trump says EU tariffs will ‘definitely happen’ as Mexico, Canada and China retaliate
\nTrump takes softer line on UK, saying ‘I think that one can be worked out’, while Mexico and Canada vow levies and to strengthen ties with each other

\nDonald Trump has threatened to widen the scope of his trade tariffs, repeating his warning that the European Union – and potentially the UK – will face levies, even as he conceded that Americans could bear some of the economic brunt of a nascent global trade war.
\n
\nIt comes as Trump’s tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, announced on Saturday, sparked retaliation from all three countries. Mexico and Canada have vowed levies of their own while China and Canada are seeking legal challenges.
\n
\nTrump said on Sunday night that new tariffs on the EU will “definitely happen”, repeating previous complaints about the large US trade deficit with the bloc and his desire for Europe to import more American cars and agricultural products.

\n“It will definitely happen with the European Union, I can tell you that,” he told reporters. “I wouldn’t say there’s a timeline but it’s going to be pretty soon.”
\n
\nTrump appeared to take a softer line on the UK, citing a good relationship with prime minister Keir Starmer while saying tariffs still “might happen”. “The UK is out of line but I’m sure that one, I think that one can be worked out,” he said.
\n
\n“Well Prime Minister Starmer’s been very nice, we’ve had a couple of meetings, we’ve had numerous phone calls, we’re getting along very well, we’ll see whether or not we can balance out our budget.”
\n
\nIn Canada, the department of finance published a list of US products imported into Canada that it will target with a 25% retaliatory tariff starting on Tuesday.
\n
\nThe list shows products that will be hit in the first round of retaliatory tariffs by Canada starting on Tuesday, and mounts to $30bn Canadian dollars’ worth of goods (about US$20bn). The impacted products include tobacco, produce, household appliances, firearms and military gear.
\n
\nCanada is also preparing for a second, broader round of retaliatory tariffs in 21 days that will target an additional C$125bn (US$86bn) worth of US imports. The second list would include passenger vehicles, trucks, steel and aluminum products, certain fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, dairy products and more.

Trump is imposing steep tariffs on major US trading partners Canada, Mexico and China, with a lower rate on Canadian energy imports, said the White House on February 1, 2025. Washington will impose a 25 percent levy on imports from Canada and Mexico, with a 10 percent rate on Canadian energy resources, until both work with the United States on drug trafficking and immigration. \nClaudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s president, said her government will provide more details on the retaliatory tariffs she ordered on US goods on Monday. Sheinbaum, in a statement on Sunday, said she will announce details on her government’s “plan B” as she insisted that Mexico “doesn’t want confrontation”.
\n
\n“Problems are not addressed by imposing tariffs, but with talks and dialogue,” she said. “Sovereignty is not negotiable: coordination yes, subordination no.”
\n
\n'Coordination yes, subordination no': Mexican president responds to Trump's tariffs – video
\nSheinbaum and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau spoke by phone on Saturday after Trump’s administration imposed the new tariffs – 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico, with a lower rate of 10% for Canadian oil, and 10% on imports from China.
\n
\nTrudeau’s office said in a statement that Canada and Mexico agreed “to enhance the strong bilateral relations” between their countries. Canadian officials have had extensive dialogue with their Mexican counterparts, but a senior Canadian official said he would not go as far as to say the tariff responses were coordinated.
\n
\n“Now is the time to choose products made right here in Canada,” Trudeau posted Sunday on X. “Check the labels. Let’s do our part. Wherever we can, choose Canada.”
\n
\nTrump acknowledged the sweeping tariffs he has imposed on Mexico, Canada and China may cause “short term” pain for Americans as global markets reflected concerns the levies could undermine growth and reignite inflation. Asian markets, cryptocurrencies and US and European stock futures slumped in early Asian trading on Monday.
\n
\n“We may have short term some little pain, and people understand that. But long term, the United States has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world,” he said. day, Trudeau said: “We’re certainly not looking to escalate, but we will stand up for Canada.” However on Sunday evening, a senior government official from Canada briefing reporters in Ottowa on condition of anonymity said: “We will obviously pursue the legal recourse that we believe we have through the agreements that we share with the United States.”
\n
\nThe official said the Canadian government considered the move by Trump illegal and said it violates the trade commitments between the two countries under their free trade agreement and under the World Trade Organization.
\n
\n“If other legal avenues are available to us, they will be considered as well,” the official said.
\n
\nCanada is the largest export market for 36 states, and Mexico is the largest trading partner of the US.
\n
\nCanada and Mexico ordered the tariffs despite Trump’s further threat to increase the duties charged if retaliatory levies are placed on US goods.
\n
\nChina also said it would file a lawsuit against the tariffs. The imposition of tariffs by the US “seriously violates” World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, China’s commerce ministry said in a statement, urging the US to “engage in frank dialogue and strengthen cooperation”.
\n
\nFiling a lawsuit with the WTO would be a largely symbolic move that Beijing has also taken against tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles by the EU.
\n
\nThe commerce ministry also said the tariffs were “not only unhelpful in solving the US’s own problems, but also undermine normal economic and trade cooperation”. China has said it would take countermeasures to “safeguard its own rights and interests”. It is not clear exactly what form these will take yet. But for weeks Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning has said Beijing believes there is no winner in a trade war.
\n
\nLate Sunday night, Trump said he would speak with Trudeau on Monday morning and shortly after said he would speak with Mexico as well, although he did not specify that he would speak with Sheinbaum.
\n
\nBeyond the official response, people were already thinking of ways to cope with Trump’s decision, including by sharing suggestions on social media for alternatives to US products.

\nOne fan at the Raptors game chose to sit during the anthem while wearing a Canada hat. Joseph Chua, who works as an importer, said he expects to feel the tariffs “pretty directly”. “I’ve always stood during both anthems. I’ve taken my hat off to show respect to the American national anthem, but today we’re feeling a little bitter about things,” he said, adding that he will start to avoid buying US products.
\n
\nIn the streets, people in Mexico were trying to absorb the announcement on Sunday, although some in the capital acknowledged that they were unaware of the measures.
\n
\nIn the border city of Mexicali, across from Calexico, California, some people were concerned about the wider implications of a trade war.
\n
\nDriver Alejandro Acosta says that he crosses the border weekly in his truck to deliver vegetables to US companies. He said he fears US businesses in the Mexicali Valley will no longer want to operate in Mexico and they will move to the US.
\n
\n“If they raise taxes on the factories here, jobs may also decrease,” he said.

Illegal crossings and fentanyl (less than 1% coming from Canada) are just excuses to justify the tariffs. His end goal is to bring revenue to the US by means of foreign taxation.
|
| 2025-02-02 | 0 |
I mean really, if trump actually cared about drugs and illegal immigrants crossing our borders, why wouldn’t he actually try to work with Canada and Mexico instead of jumping straight to this? I mean sure, you could argue that Canada and Mexico didn’t help curb that stuff during bidens tenure. But this just seems like an unnecessary escalation that doesn’t even directly address the border issues. It’s all b.s.

Yes illegal immigration is a huge problem in Western / Developed countries such as USA/ Canada and Europe . It is audacity of the people in this clip to think they have right to invade and cross the border into another country. ?

20,000 people a year coming into Canada. The US has millions every year crossing illegally. Mexico needs to be held accountable for letting people pass through to the US
|

Nice wording. Illegal migrants actually, who took a risk crossing illegally. Many are criminals with long lists of convictions, and are mostly men. Migrants who came honestly are just fine. Honest refugees with a real case - not just people claiming refugee status for economic opportunity (which should be punishable with jail time) are just fine. Canada should do the same.

Finally!!!! Not one illegal should be allowed to cross into Canada, as has been the case in the last few years, and not stopped. Thanks Trudolph!!

It is funny that we also report the news, as Indians are winning when we talk about Forex transfers. We are happy when allowed to travel or work in other countries. Nobody complains about the Thick folder of documentation when approved.\nWe also have to consider our civic sense approach. We try to replicate how we behave in our home country when we travel to other nations. and if object we are open to defining that objection as racism. \nAre we talking about the numbers of Indians trying to cross borders illegally with the US or Canada? What's our country's take on it?

These are east Indians coming from the UK. They had US visas from the UK. What is Canada to do when they are in transit passengers from the UK and given fake or real but seems fake US visas. All international intransit passengers dont go through customs at their stop over country. Its an international fact. The East indians knew that if they boarded their flight to the US they would get sent back to the UK and hence India so they decided to illegally cross our border. Canada could not have prevented this. But now that we know this is what they need to do , we along with the Americans should step up our security. They could be terrorists. For decades we lived with a non secure border now foreigners are fuc**ng with our safety. India take some responsibility. You boast on the world stage and scold others, well what do you have to say now. Canada and America should tax India for the time and resources they have had to use since Moody says India is the 5th largest economy and they have money. Please if you want to come do it legally.

Start charging Canada for every illegal migrant caught crossing their border.
|
| 2024-12-24 | 0 |
If we, the United States, know how many Indians are crossing the Canadian border into the U.S. side, that must mean WE are letting them in. Why the heck not return them to Canada right there and then? They are surely not being persecuted in Canada, so why allow them in? And the same goes for all the undocumented people crossing over from Mexico. By making it so easy and allowing all illegals into the country, the United States is really at fault for the mess that it is in.

A lot of illegal immigrants use CANADA TO CROSS THE USA BORDER
|
| 2024-12-23 | 0 |
Illegal crossing of any border is not accepted in anyway. Trump is punishing Canadians because of illegal crossing from Canada to the United States. I believe that all illegal immigrant should be return to their home countries and informed how to legal enter the country they wish to immigrate to. Immigrant if found commit serious crime offences should be return to their country and band from re-entering that country for life. This would make it easier for good immigrant to immigrate to Canada and the United States.

Easy to understand! India is a member of the British Commonwealth, so is Canada! The only solution to this problem of Indians illegal crossing to the USA is for Canada to get out of that old monarchy set up and become an official independant country!

canadians do not want usa traffic either. i do understand what tom homan is saying, but they have no business telling canadians what to do. did not realize that there was actually 2 way illegal traffic both ways. i need to see the stats. on that, since the s. border is being looked after already by mexico. cooperation is one thing...bullying is quite another. i do believe that canada has terrorists & both borders need to be addressed. canadians do NOT want americans crossing illegal borders. thanyou mr. homan for being decent about this.

This is wrong allegation of political issues. There is no such issues.Punjab and Gujrat infact one of the richest province in India. Only people who are less educated and greedy leaving for these countries. Because of their neighbour or relatives moved to US n Canada in 70' 80s and they want to move by hook or crook. Infact you will hardly find any homelessness people in this province. Last yr a Man from Gujrat died with wife and 2 young children while illegally crossing border crossing. He was doing good financially.

Trump is 1000% right. I say this as a Canadian. Mexico is dumping Honduran and Venezuelans from the south and East Indians are entering from the north. When they realize how expensive it is in Canada many will try and cross illegally. Trudeau accepted way too many migrants and there are no homes for all of them

Ya'll brought a Immigration lawyer, someone who directly benefits financially from all this to be an expert on the negative impacts of our immigration and asylum's system? 190,000 people illegally crossed from Canada into the United states in the past 3 years, yet she considers it a small amount.

Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Pierre Poilievre, wants Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to send back 4,900,000 newcomers whose visas expire in the next 13 months.
\nMinister of Immigration Marc Miller wants to fast-track asylum refusals
\n(to prevent the asylum system abuse).
\n
\nCanadians are VERY happy with IRCC's changes in 2024 (reductions & multifaceted investigations & deportations etc.). Canadians want:
\n
\n⦁\tNo more tribal hatreds & violence in CANADA, stemming from tribal hatreds occurring in foreign countries (the hater's ancestral home).
\n⦁\tNo more foreign interference in Canadian elections.
\n⦁\tNo more dealing with the repercussions caused by ghost consulting in foreign countries, after they targeted their own people (before they came to Canada).
\n⦁\tNo more fraudulent acceptance letters created by foreign consultants and given to their own people (before they came to Canada).
\n⦁\tNo more PRIVATE 'diploma mills' in British Columbia and Ontario.
\n⦁\tNo more mass social media videos posted by foreigners advertising Canadian PR & visas & permits & schools & jobs etc., like they're selling shirts. Never posted in English (with no input from Canadians including Canadian colleges/universities).
\n⦁\tNo more IELTS spouses in Canada. Anchor babies.
\n⦁\tNo more Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by, and for, foreign nationals. With 'slumlords' charging way too much for rent.
\n⦁\tNo more foreign protestors on Canadian streets demanding permanent residency, when they don't qualify for PR (which was never guaranteed).
\n⦁\tNo more foreigners asking for Canadian asylum THAT THEY DON'T QUALIFY FOR.
\n⦁\tNo more visas being used to illegally cross into the USA from Canada.
\n⦁\tNo more social hierarchies popping up at Canadian workplaces that divides people into groups based on their ancestry, perceived purity or worthiness, and birth.
\n⦁\tNo more tech support scams, phishing, and identity theft scams linked to foreign countries.
\n⦁\tNo more major auto theft cartels shipping stolen car parts to lower Asia and northern Africa. And no more foreigners speed racing on Canadian streets causing injury and sometimes death.
\n⦁\tNo more Canadian charity services being recklessly advertised on social media by foreign nationals (and not in English or French).
\n⦁\tNo more dealing with those who won't blend to a country’s way of living, including rules and conduct norms. Unfortunately now, Canadians are dealing with far too many people from a very low-trust society.
\n
\nSupport the country you live in … or live in the country you support.

Those Indians crossing the borders & entering the USA ??, illegally are not poor. They are just greedy and do not respect any laws, either in India, or in the countries they migrate. They are a law unto themselves. \n\nAnd it is strange to note that Indians from the state of Gujarat do this, inspite of it being the state of the PM, Mr. Modi. Gujarat, in fact, is a well developed state.\n\nAnd it is the same with the Punjabis also, though Punjab is economically a poor state. \n\nAll these illegal immigrants bring disrepute to legal & law abiding Indians. \n\nBut, this trend will never end, unless the countries, where they are migrating illegally take stern action (the USA ?? and Canada ??).

Canada needs to send those people to origin of birth. Not flee to Canada. This is ridiculous. Send Canadian Military to control the boarder crossing. No more illegal crossing.

We in Canada must never allow illegal people of any kind or situation to enter Canada. Those who attempt to cross our borders must be sent back to where they came from if they do not meet the legal requirements to enter. If that means engaging our military to enforce the laws then that is what should used.People who break laws are not welcome and should under absolutely no circumstances be allowed to set foot into Canada, period!!.

These people are crazy. We have a economic crisis in Canada right now we need to deport our illegal immigrants why would we take on people who didn’t immigrate properly in the first place there not victim they over stayed there visas or illegally crossed the border

Canada media loves to exacerbate presenting Canada as a second class USA for all the wrong reasons. If illegals cross into Canada send them back and end of the story.
|
| 2024-11-08 | 0 |
Time for us to do the same. UK has been doing deportation. Other European countries have been doing it. It's time to stop the issues surrounding national security and defence. Part of National defense is defending it's boarders. Trump is finally going to be a firm president that will defend his boarders. We don't have to fear this. We need to follow suit and do the same. This is a chance for us to work together to secure the boarders between us. We have refused to mand the boarder and actually more people cross the boarder to USA from Canada. So this is it. We refuse to deal with drugs, illegal immigrants and human trafficking. It's time to deal with it

As first generation American all this endless whining is getting old. When my family came here, they all had to have a health certificate and a sponsor that guaranteed they would have employment and housing waiting for them when they got here. If not, they weren’t going to be allowed on the boat to start with. No free housing, health care, food or education. \n \n\n So what part of ILLEGAL ALIEN isn’t being understood. This kind of nonsense isn’t allowed in virtually any other country on the planet. Try to cross into Mexico or Canada illegally and see where you end up. The argument is Americans don’t want to do the jobs that the illegals do yet back in the day Americans did do these jobs. The problem is too many Americans today think jobs that require physical labor are beneath them and too many are getting paid way too much for what the job they’re doing entails. Sorry but flipping burgers and asking if you want fries with that IS NOT a job worth $15 or $20 bucks an hour.

It is indeed a top priority of Canada ?? ❤ to secure our borders ASAP. We cannot afford as taxpayers to accept more of these asylum seekers or illegal migrants; we are not even sure who they are, where they came from. O please Prime Minister Trudeau don't let them cross our borders. Thank you.
