I came to Saskatchewan Canada as an international student in fall 2023. I did a care assistant program and was attracted to coming to Canada because I kept hearing that there is a labour shortage in healthcare in Canada. However I feel like everything just started going to sh*t in 2024 when I was finishing up my program ?.\n\n One of the things I'd like to highlight about the small towns is that they can be very biased in their hiring practices. Some of us as (black) students had a hard time getting jobs in healthcare in the town because jobs were given based on family and friend linkages (so mostly white or Filipino people got hired). Also there was a severe housing shortage. So even though locals (from my perception) wanted us to stay and work in healthcare (because they are short staffed), realistically there was no where to stay. Canada can't say it wants people in more rural areas and not improve housing in those areas as well. I have honestly been rather disappointed with Canada because I expected better planning from a developed country.

They make it extremly difficult, no workers in health care, but they must have a B2 to Start with anything, who has 2 years yo pay for a course and doing nothing else before getting a Job?. Plus, there is not a clear way to Integration, after getting education, working 6 years and paying all taxes, NO answer for a citizenship aplication in 7 months, you can not even ask because the oficces are full of work. In me meanwhile you can not even changed your job. So, an effort that the country makes more and more difficult. You get a Job sure, but that is it, if you want to live in jail for many years do so. Because is how it feels.

Now that she was able to become a citizen, rather than helping her family members to get their legal status, which can be difficult, tedious and very expensive, she could care less if the lives they have already spent decades on building here are completely destroyed. She seems to be fully aware that it can be a difficult process, and I personally have seen that it’s not exactly a fair one either. I have seen some people spend not only years waiting on a hearing or a determination, but spend thousands they scrape together on lawyers and obtaining records, while others submit minimal evidence and get a determination in weeks. Instead of admitting that there are problems with the system and vote for people who are actually trying to help, she wants the same system that made it a difficult process for her to stay the same for them. In fact she voted for someone who is going to make it harder if not impossible for them to come back the right way in the first place. Is she not thinking? If they get deported, that is going into immigration records and when that gets pulled up when they apply to come back it will likely cause any legally efforts to return to be rejected. And who knows how long that will stay in their system? Could be years, could be permanent. Biden’s idea to help those undocumented who are married to citizens to be able to apply and get a temporary visa to stay here while they wait so that families wouldn’t have to be broken up by having the applicant return to their country of origin. That was not just a great idea from a humanitarian point, but they could apply for a job that wasn’t going to take advantage of them by paying below minimum wage, with no rights if they are injured. That could help bring local wages up. They would start contributing back by paying their fair share of taxes, and do on. Republicans in red states stopped it though and are suing the Biden administration for trying to do what? Help people and fix some of the issues that our broken immigration system has caused? \nSorry lady, but you earned your family’s ire and whatever treatment you get from the administration you voted for.

Canadian health care is more expensive than U.S health care we pay for it just the same except the bill is in a different place.\nIf you don't mind waiting till you die to get anything done,I have waited 3 and a half years for sinus surgery and the health care has been paid for through taxes from the start of my life.\nThe waiting is so bad I looked up the U.S what it would cost and I wouldn't be Abe to afford it because our taxes are way too high

We are not satisfied with the hk pathway policy, why can they enjoy the same benefits as our locals ? \nIn the past, people who applied to become a PR had to wait at least two or three years. During this period, they had to pay international student fees and then transfer to a work permit step by step, or join the investing immigration program, and then start to enjoy the benefits after becoming a PR. However, as soon as the hk pathyway people landed, they enjoyed the same benefits immediately as the locals(liked free education, local student fee for university, Child care benefits) which the locals felt were unfair. The days they (hk pathway people)contributed in Canada are very short, and the benefits they receive are far greater than the taxes and contributions they pay. The locals just feel that the benefits they enjoy today are indeed the contributions they have made to society (including paying taxes) over the years. It is reasonable to get a reward for how much they have paid and contributed, but it is unfair for those Hk pathway people to enjoy the same benefits as locals. \n\nThe hk pathway temporarily policy need to be amended. They shouldn’t receiving full benefits as locals while waiting for PR, they should pay the international student fees. Also, too many hk people abuse this policy, use fake academic qualifications to study, and then their whole family receives CCB , also enjoy local students is unfair to our locals. By the way, most of them after getting the PR they will go back to Hong Kong,they have no intention of staying here and make contributions to our country.\n\nThe HK pathway is a temporary policy. The immigration policy can be revised at any time just liked study permit has mandatory amendments and additional condition recently . The Hk pathway can also be amended.

When my family came here, they all had to have a health certificate and a sponsor that guaranteed they would have employment and housing waiting for them when they got here. I knew an undocumented young woman who was living with her 1 yr old baby and her undocumented husband in NC. He started beating her up really badly so she called the cops. The cops arrested them both, even though he was the clear aggressor. They sent the baby off to cps and cps sent the child back to her extended family in Mexico. She spent 3 years in the county jail, never having access to proper medical care, fresh air & greenery or money for commissary or phone minutes. She was still in the early stages of learning English so she was unable to properly advocate for herself before she made bilingual friends and she couldn’t even read the English books in the county jail. Last I heard, she had finally been transported to a huge ICE detention facility in Georgia, but her case was still in limbo and she still had not seen her daughter 4 years later?\n\nShe was such a sweet young woman and what happened to her was so cruel, inhumane and totally undeserved. People who advocate for mass deportation are asking for millions of more stories just like hers, but with even more violence, since Trump would have to use storm troopers to do raids and papers checks so they can kidnap the 20 million people they want to deport.

Stop letting f$@&g losers in and start selecting people who actually want to be Canadian. If someone is coming here and going directly onto the system they don’t belong here. Be careful with your rental property. Crazy things happen from the tenants and you may not be able to do anything. Even if the tenant starts growing marijuana, he can screw you!

Real international students brings resources to Canada. Government needs to look into students that actually come not for study but to work (making money back home). Besides, why entrepreneurs and start up programs that will benefits our society gets so hard to proceed (taking over years to complete)? Why nanny home support worker can come to Canada as permanent resident so fast and easy? The people of Canada need to be aware of these strange policies that were made. The policy makers do not use their brains measuring the actual needs of Canada. They make no efforts to look into how their policies will affect the lives of the people, the system of Canada including medical systems, our infrastructure or housing. They do not care if our society can have enough to support these low skilled workers and families, and also the new refugees and families. Can our economy support all these new families? Nowadays the economy of the world is so challenging, but would these policies makers care about this? They are not stupid then there must be some reasons behind. How can the normal citizens protect their rights? BUT wait…, all these new families are growing, these new comers will protect their rights too….

Charity starts at home before you start bringing in all these foreign workers why don't you fix what's broken in your backyard like the homelessness here ,it's not the poor people here that are starting the problems it's the foreigners I've experienced it as an elderly person I can't even get a crappy job at Tim Hortons because those are all outsourced to foreign workers. India has to stop exporting its people all over the world.first, they have to slow down population growth. Second,take care of its own people by providing with jobs. Third, India has to start taking responsibility of its own failures to give its people jobs, decent living, healthcare and education. I have no problems with foreigners , but we can't give you what we no longer have. \nI truly think he started out and continued to cripple Canada , but in the end he has crippled Canadians and anyone that thought they would like to be Canadian. He has brought chaos to Canada by not vetting people ,by bringing groups in that at war in their own country. We can't take care of anyone else if we can't take care of ourselves

They should have calculated how many immigrants they needed to begin with, now those who uprooted their families , sold their businesses etc. to accommodate their trip to Canada now may have to start over that's the other side when they are not careful with other people's lives

We are caring and understand all human rights, but when people start taking advantage justin Trudeau should stand and dont give fuck about all rules, we should think, do we actually care about human rights? For example one needs only a visitor visa to get citizenship Just need to say im gay/lesbo family friends behind him/her to kill. Person will get free hotel until you won't find home. Then person will be paid per month to take care yourself. If you need to study? Of course you will get all free education. Thats why government running out of money for those who are retired, worked hard for years and earn those retirement cheques.Human rights and other rules are good on papers but in reality, people always find out loop holes to take advantage of rules. Selling LMIA owners of subway, gas stations, circle k, convince stores owners made millions till today. No wonder why asian have more homes than actual locals? Still, the roots are being deafness by the government as big pie cut was serving under table by thos sitty colleges. Everyone is responsible, but right now, everyone pretending they know the issue now and stopping this and that. That's the biggest joke i have ever seen. canadian govt needs investors to start businesses rather thn getting employees.. canada has lots of resources but no one to start any businesses..health care is falling bcoz there are no doctors.. y dont canadian govt get doctors from india rather thn getting cheap labours.. canadian govt needs to think wisely to save its economy

Germany is not for beginners. I started a small hobby garden project with a German. After 4-5 months of work at the end while harvesting he just flipped and demands just because he spents a lil more time in the garden, (which no one asked him to) he is entitled to the best looking vegetables, not only that he should get even few kilos more. Good lord i was never this disgusted in my whole life. What a narrow minded mentality. Harsh, rough, unfriendly. Its just killed the whole vibe and fun of the project. I didn’t care about the harvest, its the basic principles of human fxxxng being.
