I know I will get attacked in the comments for this, but I grew up in the US watched many presidents come and go, and I have never seen the country that I live in turn so corrupt and evil in my life we have been lied to by our president. A man I did not vote for and it almost feels like it is turning into a fascist regime. Presumably the whole point of tariffs on Canada is to raise revenues to cover the tax cuts for the oligarchs that he hopes will keep his or his family permanently in power. From that point of view it makes sense to put the tariffs on the biggest trade partners. The tax breaks the oligarchs get will allow them to buy up and control the media on his behalf. Nothing to do with fentanyl. That's just a lie that US citizens are stupid enough to swallow.

Trump succeeded in getting Canada and Mexico to protect the US border, something the US couldn't do for decades.
