I have travelled to almost 40 countries and have never been rejected for any visa - US, UK, Schengen etc. Reason being, I am a law abiding traveller who respects the rules & regulations of the countries I travel to. I furnish all documents honestly at the visa center. I arrive & leave the foreign countries as permitted on my visa. Traveler's with a clean & honest travel history should have no problems at all.

I worked in India for 6 years and then shifted abroad for a Masters, and now I am pursuing a fully funded PhD. In the UK, what I have observed is that the crop of students arriving from India are by the day lesser inclined towards studies and more in pursuit of the quick buck. Yes, getting a ‘UK based work experience’ is necessary to build the edge to compete against the wider international students post graduation and I have myself worked part-time in profiles which complimented my course in parallel to prioritising studies. However, the increasing trend amongst the masses (I do not want to generalise but yes this is unfortunately true and especially from certain states, the case is magnified: Read Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana) remains getting that student visa to earn quick buck to support themselves financially, chiefly, save up to dole out to so called ‘assignment writers’ which helps them pass the course to further graduate and transfer to a grad visa (again comes at a cost) which allows them 2 years worth of stay with no working hour stipulation post graduation. Thereon, work full time in laborious jobs with again not focussing on applying to full time opportunities in the field of study. Thus, what remains at the end of the day is lost time and opportunity and since I am only talking of people who come here on a Student VISA so primarily, the opportunity cost lost to upskill and further horizons. For the country’s perspective, getting cheap, skilled labour for an unskilled job is obviously an advantage but then there are cases of students not respecting their working hour restrictions, vandalising, bickering loudly, joining hands with the already operating extremist forces which instigate violence and hatred etc. In all, I think the resistance to not becoming bicultural which is a product of serious mental and physical toil and wasting time in frivolity is the main cause of the anti-immigration wave.

I can't seem to recall, but recently an eminent news personality gave a speech at Oxford about how the Indian passport was happily being waved around at the British airports. That, since the last decade, people of the EU and the Americas have learnt to respect the Indian republic more than ever. So, passports are respected, but the visas get rejected.
2025-01-17 0
We don’t need these ‘privileged’ countries to survive. They need us more than we need them. Let’s degrade their visas and reciprocate their rejection rate. We can survive better in a friendly world with mutual respect than in a world of racist colonialists or wannabe racists. Europe is paying a price for their stupidity. American is next.

Was she the one who spoke in one of the debates that “Indian passport has too much value, ppl now suddenly respect and ask us are you from Mondi’s country?” How come they are happy to see Indian passports but reject India visa??? Hypocrisy ki Seema Khatam

First of all . I am an Indian living in Australia. \n1. The way some of us are behaving in these countries is the worst . Instead of respecting their culture and laws, we start behaving in the same way as in India .\n2. I don't want to put it out, but some people from certain places have a ready solution even if the immigration change their rules . They know every means to cheat their way in. \n3. Take, for example, 200 people come from other countries and do nonsense in India. Will we allow them ? Noooo, right ... but right now, thousands of our Indians are damaging other countries, bringing all kinds of dirty activities we do in India .Unnecessary protests are just 0.1% of them\n\nThis is the best decision taken by the other countries and it should become more strict in the coming days

So journalist only look one side of the coin?..Very pathetic journalism..Tell about the flaws also telll about the current country situation tell about the frauds tell about the religious disputes ..talk about everything then we respect the journalism
2025-01-16 0
Itnisnsome delusional content, the way we behave abroad is the reason behind rejection. We don't respect the cultural differences and are super racist.
2025-01-16 0
Well were you not the one who said they see indian passport and give respect and say modi ji ka country ???
2025-01-16 0
Indian panjabi students they don’t respect others country culture because their lacking knowledge of western. One of most hated south Asian in Canada.

You can always visit sri lanka.as long as you respect the law of the country any body is welcome ?
2025-01-16 0
I have been able to visit Vietnam, Nigeria(office work) & Bali . Not much compared to others I agree. But the behaviour of Indian Language speaking Tourist in these countries is really really horrible. No matter how much these sold out News Anchor or our leader peddle false narrative that Indians are respected our passport etc etc. Indians are least preferred cause of the attitude issue. Even Nigeria whom we mock cause of look and color are more decent than us. Indian deserve this.
2025-01-16 0
She forgot that indian passport has new value now....?? People are respecting it now.....?
2025-01-16 0
Dear Palki and Firstpost channel, I appreciate this post but maybe if possible could you pls make a post/report on why some Indians are desperate to leave and most importantly the behaviour of some of our countrymen in foreign lands which gives a bad repute and leaves a bitter taste about our country in foreign lands? Shouldn't these ppl be held accountable too, especially when they are fortunate enough to have the means to visit foreign lands? I have seen first hand the way some of our ppl behave and try to twist and manipulate everything to their benefit, lacking basic respect.
2025-01-16 0
INDIANS DESERVE MORE RESPECT. I HOPE THE SITUATION WILL GET BETTER
2025-01-16 0
You know why they are rejected and it serves them right. Their behaviour is pathetic all round. No respect for the countries rules and regulations. Are very ignorant and think they are it. The rejection rate is too low !
2025-01-16 0
The real reasons for the high visa rejections are illegal immigrants, boorish behavior and lack of respect for the local culture.
2025-01-16 0
The likes of Palki were of opinion which they promoted day in and day out.. that after Modiji coming in the Value of Indian Passport has increased.. Indians travelling abroad are respected more than before. They are not kept waiting in lanes.?
2025-01-16 0
What is the purpose of going to Malesia ? US UK Canada are all advanced countries. Seems India GDP is going down . Respect also goes down. You analyze how India lost respect in the world in last 10 years in many areas.
2025-01-16 11
This is one thing we should learn from japan from very young age. To treat others with respect, keeping surroundings clean , civic sense . Even our 20-40 year olds need to learn these things .
2025-01-16 0
as an NRI who lived in US, UK, and Canada, I can tell you that the so called developed nations are over hyped. Yes, there are so many things that are better in these countries compared to india, but all these countries lack one thing. Respect towards fellow human beings. I lived in several states in India, we have problems, but nothing compared to these countries. Indians don't belong outside of india. Don't go to any country out side of iindia...you are not welcome. I came back to india and I am living peacefully.
2025-01-16 0
Hilarious that not so long ago Palki was in Oxford giving a speech about how powerful India passport is. Apparently according to her the Immigration officer in the UK was impressed about her Indian passport.lolzz. Indian passport holders and quite unfortunately Indian citizens/Indian subcontinent folks are some of the least respected people around the world. People who travelled around the world can relate to this easily. I am not gonna blame the govt completely for this issue. Unfortunately basic civic sense and behavioral etiquette are literally non existent among majority of Indians. Its a sad reality which wont change in India
2025-01-16 0
after so much kindness politeness and earning lakhs of dollars from Europe do Indian government has any respect for these countries?
2025-01-16 0
Why has the Indian Prime Minister not been able to make the Indian Passport more valuable and respected?
2025-01-16 0
Indians are possibly amongst the largest group of overseas travellers just trailing behind the Chinese but the visa application process for us is one of the most stringent. . . Go to any tourist destination in the world and you’ll see an Indian restaurant and fellow Indians, but we are not shown the respect or importance we deserve by diplomatic missions of other countries.
2025-01-16 0
If you are not respected, spend your money home. Help local tourism shine!!! Period
2025-01-16 0
Weren’t you telling in the uk, Indian passports are respected now. What a bigot this anchor is
2025-01-16 0
They bring their Hindu religious supremacy into Canada. In Toronto these new fake students even brag that they will put 1000 statues into the water in the Wasaga beach. We pride our secularism and Wasaga beach is a public beach. We respect other religions but we dislike other faiths trying to monopolize public places.
2025-01-16 0
Congress had reciprocal arrangement. To boost tourism post negative PR following Nirbhaya incident BJP let go of it with evisas. Both sides have valid argument but real elephant in the room is behavior and respect of laws and etiquette by our desis. Imagine out of 55000 non compliant student visas in Canada that did not show up to school..20k were Indians. So unless Indians improve there, neither government Modi nor Congress equally can't do much.
2025-01-16 0
I thought few years ago you said that immigration officer was respectful to you while entering UK. What happened all of a sudden? ?
2025-01-16 0
@Firstpost and @PalkiSharma\n\nYou once said that foreign country recognise INDIA with the name of MODI’s Country when we (Indians) show our passport at immigration. \n\nCut to now 2:51 you said a different story? Is all your new anchoring a game of the script by the people in power or it just your lack of knowledge.\n\nYou (new media) have a power to amplify the voice of common man, but then you switch off that amplifier and start the game of Views and Money then you lost the respect. I have been watching all the new anchored by you. From WION to FirstPost but since you are just like a common anchor (one who puts makeup and babble according to the script and money) there is no point to watch your show.\n\nYOU ARE ANOTHER IDEOL OF COWERDNESS AND MONEY HUNGRY ANCOR\n\n(*There might be a lot of typo and grammer mishaps, apologies for it)

Well said! I hope our Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes note. It's high time India earns global respect, particularly from the UK, USA and EU. Offering arrival visas to income tax filers could be a game-changer and a start to that direction and will motivating more people to file returns to get that pride status. Currently, only 3% of Indians file tax returns, whereas at least 10% should. This initiative would benefit India and provide developed countries with a better filtering process.
2025-01-16 0
Nope: factor 1: Behave, Respect and show some culture! \nI have lived and travelled many nations. Being an Indian I myself, I have never seen any individual from the countries this lady mentioned posing a strike in any of these countries mentioned rejecting visas. \nThe more you try to impose your selfless behaviour and disrespect the more visas they will reject! So learn and adapt! \nIf you need visas! Don’t hold flags and strikes there disturbing the peace of people living there! It’s just that simple!

Tyler come over we have room for more friends im certain that you know you will be expected to act in an reasonable and respectable gentlemanly fasion

Before we cry foul about why our passport ranks low or why visas keep getting denied, maybe we should take a hard look in the mirror. Here's some eye-opening news to chew on from Canada: nearly 50K international students who got study permits to Canada decided to play hooky and never showed up at the colleges and universities they were supposed to attend. Ohh, and guess what? a whopping 20,000 of them are Indians. These folks were reported as non-compliant with their student visas, ditching the whole 'studying' part of the deal. Instead, some are busy with doing illegal jobs, while others have allegedly slipped across the border into the US illegally. But sure instead of earning the respect, let's kee p demanding for it...
2025-01-16 0
There’s a clear reason why visas are often denied to Indians, and it goes beyond just being smart. In today’s world, intelligence alone isn’t enough. As Indians, we need to focus on improving our physical presentation, practicing good hygiene even outside our homes, and developing essential interpersonal skills. Punctuality is also key, it shows respect for others’ time. Instead of blaming Western countries for their perceptions, we should consider adopting some good aspects of their culture that align with professionalism and global standards. These changes can help create a better impression and open more opportunities for us.
2025-01-16 0
instead , just change our behavior when we go abroad and act civilized. and respect that countries culture.
2025-01-16 0
Go where you are respected.
2025-01-16 0
This may be a blessing in disguise to India . I say this not to bring any offence as visa denials are highly prevalent, not only in Canada but in other countries as well. The positive side to this Palki is that India will not suffer brain drain for this season until a new season of visas is granted. Its unfortunate times are changing in Govts policies, which are to be well respected. \nWhile this change presents disappointment I suggest we live through the moments until we embark on a new season when visas will once again be granted. \nWe love India, and I pray blessings on all the people in India. Blessings Palki.

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. We need skills and knowledge and we should class apart from the stupid ones.

Impractical advice and don't talk about mutual respect ))

Habibi go to Thailand , Vietnam and Sri Lanka.\n\n Surprisingly 3 Buddhist countries ❤\n\nLove from India. \n\nWe will be honestly send quality tourists to these 3 countries . My fellow Indians : please well behave, dont be too loud resoect their cultures. They love peace, quietness and respect!

Modi has made india into something else. It’s like there’s no respect for us anymore.

how about indians entering countries on visitor visas and staying illegally ... so 1st and foremost we need to mend our ways \nlot of people are after easy money or some fake illusion of luxurious life abroad without putting hard yards in ... fact is most of these idiots end up selling their ancestral properties or forcing parents to take unfavorable loans in search of their world of fantasies .\nMy advice to all such people skill up and work on yourself you will be able to live your life with dignity irrespective of where you are either in India or abroad . Most people don't know the everyday struggles of illegal immigrants .... they are never respected hard to find white collar jobs and end up working overtime and highly underpaid (employers mostly desis/indians takes advantage of their situation and pay them less than minimum wages ) for sake of putting bread on dinner table for your family .\n\nPS : I am not discouraging anyone from seeking opportunity abroad but cautioning against using illegal means .Do it legally and live a life of dignity .

Most Indian are stereotyped in other countries and most people dont respect white hair people.

In my opinion Indians being rejected because many are involved in illegal activities. Better they stay home with respect and enjoy, India itself is a big country and extremely rich in culture, so better to explore their home first?
