I see evidence of some people who think electing Trump will essentially rid this country of Hispanics, whom they are just so eager to be seen removed from here. That is both an extremely naive and very racist set of expectations. Many of the worst racists are going around telling random Latinos to pack their bags and some are telling Latino Trump voters like me that we're gonna get what we voted for. He must have known, even as the idiot he is, that the machinery does not exist to effect the policy. We had a similar experience in the UK over the decision to leave the European Union. The impression was given that, on the morning after a Leave vote, the matter was resolved. That was in 2016. my dil is mexican and is here legally. last march my son called me very early one morning with the news that his brother in law had been randomly murdered the night before. he was also in this country legally. as is my Dil's younger sister who lives with them. They also recently took in one of her younger sister's high school friends who was pregnant. they kept the girl safe with them until she gave birth. when I visited last may, I brought multiple baby gifts for the girl. when I have posted this before. there were many hateful comments that my son's brother-in law was probably killed by another illegal. Actually he was here in the country legally, as is my daughter-in-law. my DIL works hard doing payroll at a portland contracting company. she is here legally. at this point I can't wrap my mind around the hate that is thrown on people from other countries. most of us have ancesters that came from other places. I know that I do.

The whole world knows that so-called 'western democracies' are the imperialist terrorists of the planet. No such thing as 'democracy' under capitalism. We can't vote our way to collective liberation. It's ironic and sad because the first Cuban lady and her family will probably be deported. Commandment Stephen Miller and Trump will follow the Project 2025 plan which calls for denaturalizing and deporting any citizens not born in the US. I guess she didn't take the time to read that.

The concept is a good idea, with deterring businesses from hiring undocumented immigrants and tougher entry requirements etc., but we all know the execution of this policy is going to result in instances of inhumane conduct and will give permission to radical racist organisations who think they have Authority to take matters into their own hands and calling it civil duty.
