When I was a kid this was considered bullying. Adults are just better at it. I grew up on a small farm in a small town in the middle of nowhere and new kids that moved into the area laughed at me called me EVERY name but my own , I am white and they were white.. But because I lived on a farm, I lived with animals, I was dirty and filthy . I was told to ignore it. The School wouldn't do anything about it, but tell them to be NICE and that only made the problem worse. This isnt anything new. Parents tell their kids to deal with it at School but is different when the parents have to deal with it. Then it becomes discrimination and racism. Bullying ! is bullying .

This is more typical CBC yellow journalism. As an English speaking white person, I could easily provide the CBC with hidden camera evidence of white people being discriminated and bullied by indigenous and french Canadian people because of my race and language, but of course, the CBC wouldn't be interested. There's racism in ever country. The biggest racism is coming from the left that constantly demonize the caucasian race. There is no place for hate in society. Totally condemn. He is a Sikh not a Muslim. How can he not know any basic stuff like that. That being said Islamophobia should be defined correctly. Fear of Islam is different and hatred towards Muslims as persons is different. Fear of Islam is a rational fear not a phobia to have if you are a Canadian citizen. If Christianity spreads like the way Islam is spreading in Saudi Arabia or other Islamic nations, then Muslims will be scared and they have the right to fear. So don't label it as a racist if someone condemns Islam as ideology. If they hate Muslims and bully them show them their place and expose them.

Why don't they address reverse discrimination? There is plenty of that, too, especially people being bullied in the work place.

As a Mexican American I have faced all types of racism from people of different races, including my own. I lived in Mexico for a while when I was young and would get bullied by kids who knew I was born in the U.S. Teachers also treated me different; some treated me worse than they treated the other kids, and others favored me because I was American. When I moved to Philadelphia I attended a school that was predominantly black and asian. I was the only hispanic in my class. At the time Spanish was my main language and my English was “rusty,” which led to constant bullying from classmates. They would call me “dookie face,” tell me to “go back to my country,” and even had some girls put gum on my hair. I would cry every day. I later on moved to Chicago to an area that was mostly hispanic, and that didn’t stop the bullying, either. After I finally refined my English, I no longer wanted to speak Spanish unless it was to my parents. Yes, I guess the constant bullying pushed me to feel like I had to separate myself from my hispanic heritage. When my hispanic classmates spoke to me in Spanish I only responded in English, which would make them mad and they would think that I thought I was “better than them.” Anyway, that was long ago and now as an adult I can reflect on these things so that I don’t make the same mistakes. I get along with everyone and the only thing that changes how I feel about someone is their character, not their appearance.

I am a South African man who has many Muslim friends. I am appalled by the actions of these patrols all over Europe. Do these people not see that they are causing Islamophobia. If you want people to convert to your religion and embrace it, then show them that it is a peaceful and beautiful religion. But if you are patrolling and bullying people and other radicals are beheading and using suicide bombs, then there is nothing peaceful about that. No, no it wouldn't be a race war. It's about Islam not their ethnicity. There are Arab Christians who take great pride in being British and they would oppose these thugs.
