What was the point of this…\nBOOK?\n\nMy favourite provinces (not ranking) are Ontario, Alberta, BC, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. \n\nOntario for the history, the world records, *(longest street on earth at least at one point, tallest tower in North America, Toronto most multicultural city, etc.)* and the terrain/coolness of Ontario- the big cities, surprisingly safe, the good weather some places, the icy terrain near Hudson Bay, and pretty nice forests.\n\nAlberta for the coolness aswell, the big cities Calgary and Edmonton are pretty great, and the mountains are awesome, the oil is useful, the lakes are great- and yeah the great, safe place to live overall.\n\nBC for the amazing mountains too, the islands, Vancouver is SO amazing just seeing a picture of it, its unique that a big city is spread across so many islands, and the pacific- \n? oh I do like to be beside the sea side ? \nAnd BC has great forests like Ontario. Just- take in mind that it’s the only province with grizzly bears. (Alberta might idk)\n\nQuebec for the history, (all the history is in Quebec City)\nAnd the great terrain, it looks amazing- they have a lot of Great Lakes (wait Ontario has more, in fact all of those) and even just it’s one big city, Montreal. For the biggest province it’s got just one big city but it is _huge._ and Montreal is a great sight to see. Big city- and stuff. (I’ve been writing too much) oh also French…. Stuff.\n\nNOVA SCOTIA IS GOOD BC well Halifax is pretty freakin sweet and the Atlantic is a great sight as well as in Newfoundland and warmest in PEI. Oh and Nova Scotia is cool bc it holds record for find of the worlds largest lobster on its shore. ? \nIt has some nice villages too but I like the seaside the best out of any province there I think.

Landed here from NYC about 3 months ago, with only one year of working experience I didn't expect too much to find a good job. However, after only sending out about 40 applications I got 5 offers from them, and they are even paying better than I did in the US (not considering the exchange rate though), and they are not low-skilled jobs. I think for people with less experience and young it won't be a problem at all, just for those who have already established networks and gained much of the professional experience in their home countries will find it to be quite tough.

Hi girls and thank you I thought about going to Canada but now no desire to struggle life is so precious been living in the state now in Paris France a country I hate so iam not happy here now that my American French daughter is 20, I don't think moving to America is good life over there is not of good quality and is based upon materialism and money only and physical appearance like if you are not pretty enough tall blond enough with cash you would feel like an outcast. So where can I live between sea and mountains eat sea urchin crabs sardines all day and make money and avoid dust smell and pollution I also lived shortly in India and its not fresh trust me and the USA is country of serial killers so where could I go now to age gracefully live well

Taking a step backwards in your career, or new studies, new interests ... is the way to approach any new country. If you want to be heralded for coming from somewhere else you need to cluster in ex-Pat retirement communities. Yikes! I am about to emigrate to Ecuador. I was going to pursue the same things, and then I thought about it and ... That is a way to easily find defeat, re-learning, re .... So now I am looking forward to learning something new that I have no past experience of. I have moved to other countries before, this is not my first time emigrating. I am Canadian. It will always be my home, but ... it can be a bit boring. LOL \nThis is a really good video for people thinking of immigrating anywhere.

As if you would rate the province of Quebec as #1! And yes, one had better learn French living there and forget about using English. This is the province where the October Crisis of 1970 took place. This is the province where English signs are on their way out. The Rock Machine biker gang started here, second only to the Hells Angels. This province bucks what others do, in many ways. For instance, if you marry in this province and you are a woman, the marriage license, unlike other provinces, doesn't allow you to change your birthname to that of your husband. Personally, I think that's a good rule, but I think it would tick off a lot of people. And this province makes no concession to being bilingual. They prefer French only. They're often wanting to separate from the rest of Canada. They will not allow certain types of workers from out of province to work in Quebec. Is it beautiful? Yes, very, but there is much beauty in all of Canada.

I think you rated Saskatchewan a bit too high here. We’re like Manitoba, but with less good places to see and really obnoxious drivers. Plus the stabbity stabbity >_>\n\nBut seriously Saskatchewan is just as bad if not worse than Manitoba and putting us higher on the list than them is a hilariously bad take.

To be honest. for scenery I think British Columbia, Alberta, PEI, And Nova Scotia Are the best and for business i think Ontario is definitely the best (most major cities are good for business too)\nEdit: forgot to mention that if you are trying to move to Canada but don’t speak English Quebec would be good to move to they speak basically a variation of French that if you are a native French speaker moving to Canada it would probably take 1-2 weeks to master (could be wrong on this) and for the territories it’s miserable there’s so much crime even in the summer temperatures above 10C (50F) are a miracle but I guess if you really want to move there you can…….

I live 8 hours away from St. John’s Newfoundland and we get pretty good weather for the most part. Sure we get tons of snow in the winter but we don’t get fog everyday our summers are actually really nice. This guy probably searched up some info on St. John’s and thinks the whole island is like that.. I’ve been in every province and love them all Canada is the best country in the world and I’m proud to call it home

Let's be honest: Ontario is hella overrated. Important province and all, I just don’t like when the urban people in Toronto think Canada is all about Toronto. It's a good place in some locations, but everyone seems to talk about them and now other places of Canada (asides from the occasional mention of Quebec or B.C)

Im a pediatrician, from Ecuador, South America, Im 36, my english is 6/10. Im a bit lonely and I find it a little difficult to be sociable, plus im not a fan for cold wheater but i can adapt\nFor the other hand: \nI'm good at problem solving \nI like to help everyone who needs me and trusts me\nI love children, of course\nI prefer to do things myself to know that they are well done\nIf I cant do something or dont know the answer, i will find it.\nHere my country is full of corruption and insecurity, in general people dont respect other... Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

Thanks for making this video. After nearly 13 years as of Jan 1st 2022, I'll be leaving Canada on a one-way ticket; not to my country of origin, but further into new ventures.\n\nIt's been a slog to become a citizen and try and make life work here. It's a good place to be successful financially if you make sound choices, and then to live a fairly quiet, isolated life. If all you want is to live within your own ethnic community and have a better quality of life, it's a good place.\n\nUnfortunately, it's never had enough culture or meaning for me. Life feels pretty empty no matter how much money you make. The national identity being based around home-ownership feels extremely depressing to me.\n\nAnd you're both on point about the reserved, passive-aggressive nature of Canadians. I've become like that too now. It's pretty obvious that it costs us dearly; people are unable to be genuinely warm, to take risks and form real friendships. Everything feels surface-level because no one risks taking the steps that might even be a bit of intrusion into each other's lives that is the signal of the start of a close friendship. I'm sick of the surface relationships I've had here.\n\nAnd the wholesale import of U.S. narratives with complete ignorance of our own realities. Most Canadians think they live in the U.S. and seem unable to name a single important issue in their own province or country. I'm currently planning to immigrate to Canada. As for me, the very reason why I want to move there is to have better life. There are some great points mentioned to this video but for some cases, most especially if you talk about other underpriviledge countries, Canada is much more better. I'm from the Philippines and I would say that our country is suffering from everything. High price of goods, salary for CAD375 minimum (for a month even you're bachelor degree holder), no health benefits (unless you are working in a private company that offers benefits), no educational benefits (I would consider scholarship but that wouldn't enough to survive in every semester that you'll take). Senior Citizens / PWD that only gets benefit from their 20% discount in every purchase they make for medicine and food and seniors sometimes didn't get their pensions... so on and so forth.\n\nI think, it all boils down from what country you came from and differences of the gov't system that they have. And all of us needs to work hard to get a better life. It will always depends on our decision on what lifestyle do you choose or how do you live your life or what life do you want to live.\n\nBut to conclude this, this is a great video. This a great heads up for those who wants to come to Canada.

I often wonder why everybody says Canada is so Great. I think it is mostly political bragging. I'm born here and believe me I do not completely understand canadian thinking. It can be quite immovible and even nonsensical. I say good luck to foreigners trying to understand.

That is why you need to understand what is needed to practice your profession. People think that coming here is good enough. There are 3 things you need to do simultaneously process prior to coming over. One comply the immigration requirements , 2- process or have your academic credentials assessed then 3 is apply already before arrival. If you do all these then you are good to go but if not then yes it will be harder.

I am 17 and I plan to move from Romania to Canada somewhere around 27 years old. After I finish college I will first move to the UK for 2 years to gain experience and some money and after I move to Canada for good. I am aware of the process and that everything will be difficult but I will work hard. I will always come back here with updates from the process. Well, you are lucky you can go to the US to drown out all of your problems, in Iraq the healthcare is bad, the education system is bad (especially in public school where kids get hit.) and the people are not nice. The only people who are kind are in Iraqi Kurdistan! Oh, yea I have depression and I am only 11 (my parents think it is not serious.) I'm not aware of a US based media network doing an investigation like this. Fox news definitely wouldn't educate their viewers like this. Is that the difference between USA and Canada? Is Canada trying a little harder to be more self aware? I'm a US citizen (half white, half Filipino) and I am trying to be more aware of my racial biases and I've caught myself a few times. Bro \nAre you even from Canada? \nSome REAL TIPS \n1) Canada is expensive as fuck. Good luck on a minimum wage job. Don’t bother coming if you don’t have degrees because with such little population jobs are extremely competitive \n2) doctors visits and emergency rooms don’t cost anything upfront but do expect an 8 hour wait or 12 in a big city. Doesn’t matter what your “emergency” is... get in line. We have the longest waits in the world for things like X-rays and MRI’s. True story look it up. \n3) we have the most expense cell phone plans in the world with the shittiest coverage. In all fairness we have a small population and a massive landmass. \n4) if you’re moving to BC, car insurance is government run. So it’s extremely expensive (I think also the most expensive in the world) and it’s awful... so don’t ever get into an accident) other provinces don’t run this way. \n5) gas in BC is also very expansive because of multiple taxes, it’s affordable most places in the prairies though \n6) drinking is 18+ everywhere except BC where it’s 19+ \n\nSo if you want to live somewhere “nice” move to BC. but you’ll be poor as fuck. \nWant to live somewhere affordable, move to the prairies but it’s awful. \nYou can’t move to Quebec if you don’t speak French fluently. Toronto is okay and you won’t fit in anywhere in the eastern islands so don’t even bother. \n\nThe end.

I think we need to come close to each as one humanity. We should at least talk and explore those all different skin colors men and women. Not all of them are bad. I almost feel all religion should be completely private. Any suggestion of any religion publicly should be illegal. Christianity/islam etc. You cant discriminate against islam. Its easy for me to say because im an atheist. Islam does appear the most dangerous but it used to be christianity. There are good muslims and good christians but equally ghere are maniacs. If everyone kept their religions private/secret and those flouting that were jailed that might work. Fair for everyone really. Why should people need to ram their religion down others throats. World knows that it is very difficult to understand muslims what is wrong or right as a Human. They think as a religion not as a human. It is very difficult to adjust with such redical people, so world start keep distance with them.\n\nThere are some good muslims in the World but number of bad once is very large. Exceptions are available in religion but balance is necessary. Islam has lost that balance.\n\nThey said there is only one true religion in the world that's Islam but they have themselves have different Islam in muslims. That is Shia or Sunni Islam.

A good approach would be to enforce the laws that the state follows, in this case harassment. Treating harassers like any harasser would be treated. I don't think targeting specific groups is a good approach. Because when you do that you generalize and punish innocent people also. Attempt to make the laws fair and are capable of being implemented to every offender equally.
