How do they have time to protest? Shouldn't they be studying or working? I wish I had time to protest about all the things that are not right, but I have to work to pay my bills. I'm Canadian born I've lived here for 44 years and I have not had time to protest not one day of my life. The nerve of these people coming to Canada and thinking they have more rights than Canadian Citizens. Go back to your Country and protest there. Find the Indian people that told you these lies in India and hold them accountable.

I’m sorry, but never would I move to the US for all of the reasons already given in the video. I have a good friend in Massachusetts and I keep asking him when he’s going to come home to Canada. I really think Trump is going to be President again and I think it is time for my friend and his son to come on home. For me as a German 28% taxes with an income of 63000$ a year, are seeming very low. Here in Germany you have to pay about 20% for social security + taxes. If you earn about 30000$ a year you have to pay about 10% income tax + 19% value added taxes + 20% for social security.\nIf you earn 63000$ you have to pay about 40% taxes + social security and value added taxes.\n\nBut when I did hear the costs just for rent, people in Canada have to pay, I understand that even 28% are hard.\nI am renting a 2 room appartment for 500$ in a normal town and I think from what I did hear, I would have a higher standard of living, even if I earn 1500$ after taxes a month, which is a low income, if you're working full time in Germany.\n\nAnd if I would live in a more expensive town or city, the country would help me with my rent, if I have a low income.

That’s excellent hopefully Canada will become Canadian again. As a Punjabi, I’m absolutely disgusted with these new international students. They came here on pretence most of them didn’t even pass the English test they cheated and scammed to get here. They’re not attending colleges and working full-time taking jobs away from Canadian born students, including my own son who applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing. They need to go back after studying what’s deplorable is their sense of entitlement now, I’m so embarrassed by them. I think if PR is granted they should be made to work and areas that require help not already overpopulated areas least 10 years

There is a reason for this, even though I think doors should be open to anyone that wants to become canadians.\nThe reason being there is not enough housing. And that is throughout Canada. There is a lack even for people who already live here.\nThey took too many immigrants compare to many other countries. But the provinces did not put money on housing for many years. The same with schools and not enough teachers.

So there's been an increase on Indian vs Indian crime. The reason being, that the Indian people who came here in the 1900s are established and for so long, hoodlums/Indian government couldn't access them and their wealth or opinions about India. But with the laxed immigration, the hoodlums, who otherwise would have no access to Canada, have been let into the country (think of all the recent intel issues between Canada and India). And they are carrying out random attacks against the former Indians, but now Canadian citizens (and their businesses) that have been citizens for well over 40 years. What is with international students that go to Canada and USA. Think just because they get a student visa. They think its a permanent residency and path to citizenship. Or they have a right to work. No its not its a student visa. Only for school\n Your suppose to go home and use your education to your country. But no you guys keep pushing and protesting like its your right. The Fifth Estate had a great piece on what is actually going on in India and how this people are being scammed. They think that they're talking to a recruiter for a college, when in reality, it's a travel agency. It's sick how Canadian colleges have exploited the weaknesses in the system, and the government has allowed this to happen for so long. And now, after 9 years of Trudeau, the Liberals and the NDPs are back peddling trying to repair the bridges that the helped build and break. They gave the impression that I or any other who had a concern with immigration might be possibly racist or xenophobic. Our government weaponized words to shut our voices down. No immigrant, especially those in India, should be scammed to such an extent that they are living in a country they've never been to before that is bleeding them dry. Our government wants to conceal the reality of what's going on in Canada from the rest of the world, because they want this to keep happening. High cost of living. High cost of food. My story is similar to yours Alina, moved to Canada at 15 y.o., lived there for 20 yrs and now moved away. It's been hard, Canada has been the place I'd call home and thinking that I may never come back to live there is a little heart wrenching. Looking forward to learning what place you picked for yourself. From my experience, it will not be easy whatever place you pick. The social connections, daily life, it will all take a long time to set up. One thing that helps is keeping in touch with the most important people in your life - whereever they may be.

Do you really think these crooks look like students who are here to study? What a joke. They are fraudsters, criminals, and hooligans who have found a super easy way to gain access to overseas countries like Canada, Australia, the UK, etc. through student visa, work permits, or refugees. As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. This completely inept and corrupt government needs to go: like yesterday. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Anyway, that's my appeal: we should be upset at a government that caused this chaos, not at individual immigrants nor a specific community.

That is my main concern: many immigrants are not just keeping their old culture but forcing it on native Canadians of all descent. \nFor refugees, it absolutely boggles my mind why you might want to recreate the very situations that you are fleeing from. \nFor Indians specifically, I’ve noticed a tendency to hire only other Indians, excluding Canada from Canadians and I don’t appreciate it. Germany needs some types of skilled workers (doctors, nurses, IT engineers, etc.), but they want people who can think like a German for other office jobs. \n\nI am not a huge fan of German culture after living for 13 years but my home country Japan isn´t better for foreigners on many aspects..\n\nGerman taxation system and company cultures in the IT industry are not competitive with the US or Canada. Within Europe, I envy the digitalization of the governmental sectors in the Netherlands.\n\nThe skilled workers who may enjoy living here are the people who love the German culture. My understanding is that that is a minority, most of the foreigners I know in this country are not thrilled with the ´fun´ factor.\n\nThe people from politically unstable countries appreciate the German democracy and rules of law, which I agree with except for the accompanying bureaucracy. And the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is whole lot more scary than the German counterpart, which should not be any problem for legal skilled workers, though.
