hmm .. when I worked in Japan for about a year locals told me that if I wanted to obtain Japanese citizenship I had to either perform a heroic act saving lives, marry a Japanese woman or officially employed in Japan for at least ten years. Just residing in Japan doesn't count. I have also heard that the notorious Nigerian crooks of Tokyo marry Japanese women to obtain citizenship. The work life balance is awful . I an now 43 years old and I spent so many weekends in my 20s and 30s working to get ahead and now that my youth has passed me by I wish I had more of my youthful weekends to myself.. now I am in a position where I don't have go work on weekends near as much but find myself with nothing to do on weekends and at 43 the time for partying and the down town bar \n scene has passed my be and most people my age ar not into that anymore and truth be told it's not all the appealing to me anymore either and I live in a city where partying and the down town bar science is the only thing there is here. It's very much an east coast port city/college town \nPost colonia city it's great for tourists College Students and young working people but once you pass the age of 35 it gets really boring when I was younger and wanted to spend all of my free time partying and going to house parties and hitting the bar scene I thought I lived in the greatest place on earth now that I am on my 40s I am bored stiff and other then going out for my daily walks for exercise when I am not working I spend most of time at home reading watching you tube or listening to my record collection all of which I really enjoy but I do miss my Youthfull socializing but 43 years don't belong in night clubs with people half their age and nor would it feel appropriate doing so . I miss being 25 and at the club and wish I had done more it instead of spending so many Friday and Saturday nights at the ship building factory.

After reading the comments it's funny how people still thinks where you are born or your country origin is home. Imagine thinking that's the definition of home to begin with, sometimes I Just shake my head when I see people using such content to define home. Home dosen't necessarily have to be your country origin or whatsoever. I can have my patients have MRIs or CT scans within 2 days if they need is there a giant . What you need is Doctor Patient Advocates. How discouraging to hear you and even after I read the comments about Canada ,,, I'm French Canadian but have lived in Australia for over 35 yrs , since 1982 ,,, now I'm divorced , and no family here ,, feeling very homesick and missing my family back home ,,, I'm 71 yrs old now ,, and I would like to return to Ottawa to live where I grew up, but listening to all of you ,, and to see how bad Canada became ,, just makes my heart cry ,,, what am I to do ,,, now ,, even though I'm part of a church group ,, but they are not even friends , just acquaintances , ,, and have no family here , my children live in Ottawa as well,, even though I've checked out many things in Ottawa about finances and rentals for seniors , to prepare myself for what I'm up against ,, , and that's another thing , I'm on the pension ,, and my health is starting to make me weaker in many ways ,,, anyway , listening to all these info ,, I really feel scared and so alone ,,, I suppose I could give my life totally to God , and forget about my family and everything ,, since I can see that if I do return to Ottawa ,, my life will be a worse living hell than here ,, ,what would you do knowing all this info ,, where can I go ,, nowhere it would seem ,, God help me ,,, and show me the way ,,, I have nowhere to go,

I have been reading the posts and almost all are saying life is lonely, here in US or Canada or Eu. So why do you want to come. You can happily stay in your country and enjoy your culture or whatever. It looks like the season that you're filming is winter and its going to be very cold in most places, so most of them stay back in their houses. Everything is available along with all kinds of foods in these countries. May be you dont know how to cook any kind of food and you might have been used to somebody cooking for you. If you feel stressed then meditate or do yoga or take a long walk on these beautiful and clean roads that are not found in many countries.. OR Stay back and dont come to USA/Canada/EU, unnecessarily leaving all that goodness in your countries.
