Im not Indian and have never lived in Canada. But these comments really sound like such idiotic American sentiments I hear every day from racist americans. Sure you want to preserve your culture. But wtf culture did Canada have anyway?? Yall really acting like the Indians are taking over and burning your cities. If you dont like them coming in, then move. Where I live, there is nothing but foreigners around in my neighborhood now except a few families. But we embrace them. Theyve opened businesses around our town and have honestly made it a better place. Yall are weird.

Trudeau and the Liberal party has put Canada in a downward tail spin with their BS policies and higher everything.. The leader of the NDP Jagmeet Singh is helping prop up the Trudeau's minority Liberal party. Trudeau has made things so bad for Canadian's and they are so angry. It's time Singh stopped supporting Trudeau so an election can be called and have a change of government to get us back were Canadians can have an affordable place to live again.

Must be nice for an ethnic minority to come to a city where they can enjoy 85% of their culture and people. I mean it , must be nice for them to enjoy a place where they are free and encouraged to be proud to express their lives according to their beliefs and customs. Is there ANY city in Canada, meaning >100k population, where long standing Canadians can have a 80%+ majority and are free to enjoy their traditional ways without offending a bunch of people?

They were lied to. Facts are this: no affordable housing/appartment for anyone currently living in Canada. If Canadians cant find a place they can afford, how can a newcomer find a place? If newcomers were informed of this, none of them would even try comming here.

Truth is the immigrants were lied to. There is an economic crisis which make living cost unbarable even for middle class. There are no available dwellings/ appartments anywhere below $1500 per month. Poor immigrants comes here with no job and no place to live. But even if they find work, still have no dwelling they can afford. That is unless they pack 10 or 15 of them in a one bedroom place. If the newcomers would have known this about Canada, none would come. Exept on occasion, millionaire newcomer comes from time to time.

Too much immigration to boost GDP figures. And all those people needs a place to live! They are not building homes as fast as they are importing new people! Same issue in Australia, but seems worse in Canada..

Canada is a great place to live if you are a wealthy foreigner looking to park your money of unknown or questionable origin. Or possibly a retiree who scarcely ventures outdoors. For hardworking working- and middle-class people under the age of 50, regardless of where you live, where you were born, or what you do, your future is worrisome. About 80% of you don't want to know your future, if you haven't already figured it out. New leadership may help, but the problems go deeper than that.

The huge problem is Canada is the lack of competition. You can open a shitty restaurant chain like cactus club in vancouver, or a shitty coffee chain like blenz and still be a multi million dollar corparation. Yet you pay insane prices to go to these places. For instance in major cities like Istanbul, London, new york etc yes, you pay crazy prices but you are also eating at the best of the best in the world. The level of mediocrity is insane in Canada that charge insane prices.

It’s crazy the way people forget that Canada doesn’t end at the end of Quebec. I hate to break it to you, but there are still affordable places to live in this country, They’re just mostly not in the urban centres of Ontario, Quebec, BC or Alberta. If you actually choose to acknowledge the existence of the other six provinces, you can have a pretty good life in this country! with that being said, I also have a good friend who’s making $100k a year fresh out of university in downtown Calgary. Everyone saying salaries are too low, there are no opportunities in this country, I’m curious to know what opportunities we’ve actually lost? Just because they aren’t being afforded to you doesn’t mean they don’t exist, maybe this should spur some self-reflection. You do have to work hard to succeed after all! \n\nLife is hard, always has been. If you actually talk to your parents instead of trusting what others on the internet say, who also weren’t alive during that time, you might realize that things really aren’t that different now. Despite what the internet will tell you, a minimum wage job was not enough to afford a house and a car 40 years ago. Shockingly, a minimum wage job doesn’t pay enough to get you a house and a car now either! Crazy how that works

All those who leave Canada will come back in 5 years. They will worship the country for its economic growth beginning with a new Clean energy sector. It's obvious that nobody wants to lose their earned income either through taxes or any other fees. But, the progressive conservatives say that environment and pollution is a business decision whereas Nature and environment is everybody's business. Every citizens business.If not for the natural resources the Fossil fuel industry fully backed by the conservatives would not make any money or profits. Hence shareholder primacy is a hoax in front of human energy that is sustained by clean environment. Mark Carney leads that mission internationally. Money is not Energy, it's only a lever. Therefore, you need people living in good health to action the lever. Canada is full of natural resources, untapped critical minerals etc. and has been able to garner large amounts of foreign investment from large corporations like Honda, Dow and BHP to develop the much demanded clean energy and Energy transformation better than the USA. These companies know Canada's potential for a reliable economy and economic growth.

It is so interesting how europeans whom have a notorious history for stealing people's lands, killing, raping etc. even till date, will come up on media to complain that some of their VICTIMS are migrating to a land (canada) which is not even originally european in the first place neither are the aborigines europeans. I am not a Canadian. I came to Canada in 2015. It is a good place to live with lots of opportunities if you are ready to work hard. If they can why others cant. No need to blame others. spend your time in education. You will be able to get good jobs. work hard and Full fill your dreams. good food, nice car, home ,vacation etc.

The most common problem is the cost of housing! Nevertheless: Should you intend to move: The grass seems to be always greener on the other side ?. As you mentioned Germany and public transport: It depends where you live, but according to my experience they did a gr8 job in Munich, but the demand exceeds supply nowadays. Just today, saw an interview from an immigration agent encouraging people to move to Canada. Did he talk about high taxes and living costs, foul weather and housing crises? Not at all, he spoke as though it was still the 2000s and Canada was the place to move to. Will he be held accountable when the people he's advised to move there find out they earn a little more but pay much higher taxes? Not something I'll be betting on.

You facts are way off to the point of being misleading. Then average cost of a home in the GTA is $1.2 million and by law you need a 20-25% down payment. Even if you're lucky to get that $800k home you need a 15% down payment of 15% so that's $120k! Incomes here suck you need over $250k to qualify for a mortgage...who earns that? My circle is lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers and only 2 income professionals can get that. Over the last 10 years Canada has become very anti families and anti heterosexual so most people are single. It's also become super anti social. I've lived and traveled all over and everyone I know is making plans to go back to their home countries, countries of parentage or the US or Mexico. I’ve given up on Canada, but I’ve also taken my life into my own hands by leaving Canada. Canada is a place that stifles innovation and punishes those that want to have a lucrative career. \n\nI no longer proud to be Canadian, nor do I wish to associate myself with that despair-ridden place.

I would agree\n Canada is on top. My favorite is the acceptance level. In America is a get down on your knees first mentality. It involves a lot of unnecessary proving of ones self before any type of approval can be gained and since the quality of it's people has declined so much this is very dangerous place to be a resident. Canada was very accepting of me. Nothing was expected of me other than I was another human being. Nobody was accusing me of being some type of criminal without cause and expecting me to get all sorts of caught off guard and wanting me to some how disprove the accusations thrust upon me. Americans like this type of gamesmanship.

That’s the thing…. In Canada, you don’t have to be strategic about where you move. Most places are welcoming. We still have some racism and issues, but I know many people of different colours and cultures that have never experienced racism in Canada. We allow others to practice whatever religion you want, as long as you don’t hurt other people. We don’t unalive each other over religion or politics. To a Canadian, the United States is not a first world country. It’s where you go to lose your rights and freedoms.

Most people in the world regardless of where they live complain about the same staff, maybe in some places not about the weather. But living costs have been skyrocketing everywhere including Europe , people are unfriendly , unhappy and racist , purchasing power of currencies is falling like crazy, accommodation is unaffordable …so is there a place on earth at all where it’s ok to move to and be kinda satisfied ???
