Canadians do not want this, the Liberals have tapped out the middle class and now they need to keep importing millionaires and low skill workers in order to fleece more tax dollars from more warm bodies. The oligarchs are juicing the system and profiting on their investments. Canadians are unable to compete with imported money and standards of living. This is of no benefit to average Canadians. Ideaologies and climate change are being used as a smoke screen to shame those who oppose this many immigrants or being over taxed, its a form of narcissistic abuse on the population. I could care less if we can't staff drive-thrus. Nobody should have to pay someone else's mortgage to live in a house they'll never own themselves. Canada is ruined and the cause is greed, corruption, nepotism and apathy.

15 years ago Canada was one of the the best countries to live in. Government policies, primarily from the Liberals, have destroyed this country.

This country is utterly ludicrous. Bureaucrats and politicians exhibit sheer madness and political opportunism. I believe both Liberals and Conservatives are responsible for this situation. As a skilled migrant myself, my family and I migrated here 25 years ago. Let me illustrate with an example I'm aware of: A young woman obtained her student visa from Seneca College and arrived here with her husband and two children. Her husband secured an entry-level job (I believe that entry-level job should go to a Canadian youth), and subsequently, she brought her mother to look after their children. These children are enrolled in the local school board, and Canadians are footing the bill for their education. I don't know what economical benefit Canada is going to get out of this kind of situation. This is just one of many cases I've personally witnessed. I fail to comprehend why Canadians tolerate such foolishness.

Liberals might be told what to do (influenced and bossed around) by the IMF, WEF, and UN “agendas” into taking all this very massive overload of the over amount of “unskilled Immigrants” being way, way too many in way too short of a time which should cut-off and stopped immediately. But rather instead “permanent immigration” should be reduced to 250,000 per year for about 90% “highly skilled” Immigrants only. Temporary Foreign Workers should “have to” go home after their work permit expires “and” International Students should “not” be allowed to work in Canada then they “have to” go home after their University Degree is finished.

The Canadian experience, being Canadian, and honoring the Canadian tradition were all real things. Immigrants to Canada leave for the U.S. because Canada prefers “high value” immigrants (e.g., physicians, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs with excellent track records, occupations that are expensive to train and/or individually contribute a lot to the GDP) that the U.S. would also like to attract. Not only can many of these people make more money in the U.S., but they often encounter more help and/or less restrictions with professional licenses (e.g., most states have an industrial exemption for engineers, and do a better job at helping foreign doctors and nurses get their licenses to practice medicine). How many times have we heard of a foreign professional reduced to driving a taxi or becoming a housewife when they move to Canada because an immigration official didn’t properly inform the immigrant of the hoops they would have to jump through, and the provincial professional association offered minimal, if any, assistance? \n\nThis PhD student (and others with more academic than lucrative educations) may think he’ll have it made moving to the US but I think he overestimates his value. The small liberal arts colleges that may have hired someone with his background are decreasing in number or changing to a more technical focus (usually to computer science because it doesn’t require expensive labs needed in medicine or engineering). American students are now more critically examining what degrees, if any at all, will lead to better paying careers, and I doubt Myanmar is on their radar as a money-making opportunity.

We have a job shortage, not a labour shortage. In addition to the international students, the liberals created many special immigration pathways, one of which issues to almost everyone in Hong Kong a 3year work permit followed by a PR giveaway. These Hong Kong people are highly educated and skilled, but some of them I met said it is very difficult to find a job in Canada now. They have to accept a junior position with 6 years of experience or even work a survival job. The reasons that keep them here are cheaper house price and can stay away from China and they are gladly being lowballed. Helping people is a good thing but I feel that our young people are being sold, I've heard from many of them who cannot find a job recently.

India is one of the few countries in the world which has a huge surplus population that can supply Canada with an endless amount of cheap labor.
