Canada is optimized for its working classes. Anyone employed full time in Canada can have a decent quality of life. When you go to a developing country to work at local salaries, you will understand how hard it is to live in a developing country.

All of these reasons r spot on! \nIts true they deny other professions if not schooled here! They pretend it is cuz they think they have a higher standard of service. BUT if that was true how do they allow the low budget politicians in office, WHO CLEARLY ARE NOT QUALIFIED??? They are all about stealing ppls quality of life. They dont care if u succeed as long as u pay thru the nose that is all they care about. They also pretend things here r worth more then elsewhere! But it is no better.

Free health care makes the system overwhelmed and causes delays in getting treatment, try being in a situation where u have a life-threatening illness and can't afford treatment. It's hard to build wealth in Canada, try building your stupendous wealth in a country that is unsafe with poor infrastructures. There's no perfect situation in life but I think having a good quality of life supersedes wealth accumulation and most other things.

I think you nailed the reason why it’s so difficult to live in Canada. - lots of immigrants, flowing money out of the economy, while the citizens pay higher taxes to receive/supply for an inclusive, low-quality, infrastructure that supports people that want to leave. Realistically, you can’t be entitled and not commitment at the same time. It’s like someone coming to your house to complain about the meal the host bought, and cooked, for you and not even saying thank you . Instead you decide to leave the host with a big turd in their toilet, and ask them when they’ll have you and your family back for more free stuff.

I was born and raised in Canada. The rat-race was going nowhere for me and my quality of life was even worse, so I decided to move to Africa. Even though I am making minimal money here compared to Canada, I have never been happier. I feel like the Most High gave me a fresh new start.

This video looks like it was taken in the South. No sidewalks, no bike paths, just a lonely narrow road. I had to leave the South for this reason. No tax money for things that add to the quality of life. Now I live in MN, and you see people outside all the time riding their bikes and walking because we have spent money on the infrastructure. We have bike paths all over. Many of them are around lakes and we have a lot of parks with extensive paved bike paths, and lots of other things to do. Look up the obesity levels in the South vs. the North and the life expectancies of both regions. Not investing in infrastructure that improves the quality of life is literally killing people.

I am an American expat now living in a Latin American country and have been for more than 10 years. My quality of life has greatly improved since the move. I think the 'untold truths' apply to all of the Western world. 'They' have a system in place that was established 'by them, for them'. Your video is spot on accurate on issues immigrants face. Families come for a better way of life but can expect high expenses for everything including cost of social after school activities. Expect several years of getting settled before you can expect a decent quality of life. And you need at least 2 working persons in the family to cover bills adequately

I'm Canadian born and raised. I left Canada when I was 28 and found a better life in a developing country. Canadians think their country is wonderful because few know anything better. As you expressed, there is more to life then working to pay taxes. Quality of life is more important.

Canada has sky high immigration because it is a failed state, the population was declining. Immigration is basically all that is keeping the country from imploding. They will let in anyone because they are desperate to keep the tax base growing. The landmass itself is gorgeous, but the quality of life continues to deteriorate by the day. The country is run the by Royal Family, Trudeau is just a stooge people elect to grovel to the Queen and her son, he has no power. They are confused environmentalists, they want to grow their tax base and keep the country from imploding, meanwhile they want to use as little land as possible to do it. So you get stacked and packed into a condo and get worked nonstop and taxed so hard you can never accumulate enough savings to stop working. The whole country is a slave colony really. I'm leaving Canada shortly, I don't recommend it as a long term place to live, no one is really happy here.

Canadian here, I'm 23 of Jamaican background and seriously considering leaving this country before 30. After travelling to a few countries this past year, I realized there's a better quality of life in other places.

Thank you for sharing this with us all, it's all very true. I've been born and raised here not an immigrant at all and find the same issues, kind find a good job not enough money to live. Constant struggle and that's not a way to truly live our lives, lol not sure how people even save enough money to even travel let alone move. You started the video with an opinion not a fact. You can In fact gain wealth here. You have access to RRSPs and tax Free Savings accounts to help with Taxea for people earning over 6 figures. No one has tries to take your money, the policies are clear as day. You also have access to the Canadian stock market where they will allow you to keep 50% of your excess and tax the other 50%. Your statement needs way more context and a broader discussion. Stil love the video but we need to state all the facts. I don't think higher tax rate is a good point when you compare it to a country like Nigeria. The maximum tax rate you can pay in Nigeria is 24% and it begins from anything from 5.6 million naira per annum. After paying that tax you pay for the school fees of your children, and you pay that 3 times every year, Asides school fees you buy generator and fuel it everyday to get something close to constant power supply. (I don't want to include healthcare because if you have a good HMO they will sort out that perfectly well)\nSome of us still pay security due if you live in an estate. \n\nThe point I am trying to make is that if your tax rate is high let's say to up to 50% and you are sure of the quality of education your children is getting in public schools so you don't have to pay for school fees, You don't have to buy generator and fuel it because there's constant electricity supply and there's good security so you don't have to pay for private security. You might realized that tax rate in Canada is effectively cheaper than here in Nigeria. Because you will still pay for school fees, generator and maintenance and private security and all these have a way of eating deep into your income.

Very interesting views. I don't live in Canada. My views, high taxes are unreasonable but at the same time it ensures that everyone gets a quality of life especially in terms of health care. All the problems explained are true but they are here for a reason. It can sound cruel to make a doctor take an extra 4 years of school but you have to understand that the diploma they got in their home country is not equivelent to the quality of a canadian one. Hell, in Cambodia, you can pay 100 000K and you are a certified doctor, that can't fly in Canada.

Spot on with everything. I always rant to my friends about all of this. I’m moving to Europe from Toronto. I have a few options thanks to my work but still trying to decide which country. I guess theres a reason most Europeans don't immigrant to Canada anymore compared 2nd/3rd world countries. \n \nLifestyle, food quality, work culture etc. I love F1, soccer and European history, so thats always a treat while im there. I can’t see myself getting married and raising a family in Canada. Europe is beautiful and the center of the best of everything. \n \nCovid also exposed how corrupt the government is here as-well as the media. But people In Canada obey and love it. \n \nI'm thankful for the education and childhood I had in Canada but its time to move on.

Every province has good and bad qualities, except Ontario. I lived in Ontario on and off for about 20 years. Not one good thing comes to mind about this province, not one. I've also lived in Quebec and Alberta, both great. Ontario is like the armpit of Canada, it just stinks, definitely because of the government overreach, extremely high tax robbery on everything you buy, very high cost of living compared to both Quebec and Alberta. Both Alberta and Quebec are wayyyyyy cheaper to live than Ontario, and to be totally fair, the people in Ontario seem to be the most narcissistic i've seen within 3 provinces i've lived in, and with the worst roads. So much car repairs every single year from just driving on the main roads, which are basically just pot holes because they line their pockets with the taxes instead of using the money to fix the roads. The people in gov make so much money, there is none left after their payday to fix the roads or build any parks or things for families. Ontario is actually a bad place to live, especially with other good options available, it's the only province i don't recommend moving to if you want a decent quality of life. You can't even find a doctor here unless you live within or drive for 2 hours to get to the city. It's extremely inconvenient and expensive for no reason other than tax grabs and high fees for every single thing you have to do in life, there's a high fee for that in Ontario.

After watching this video, i still want to make my move to canada in the next 1 to 2 years. Because canada is a big upgrade from usa. Im from texas and i hate the hot weather that lasts 11 months of basically summer. and always dreamed about cold cloudy weather instead. Im 21 and im planning to get my education there so it's not really a big problem for me compared to other people who already studied in their home country. Basically life quality is better and i dont have to worry about the sad things that happen here. I love canada and i want to be a proud Canadian.

Where else have you lived and where from originally??? I left Long Island NY where I grew up many years ago. Very expensive, winters suck. Quality of life and jobs been disappearing since the 80's... Moved to South Florida in the mid 90's. Getting stupid expensive here too, very over crowded. Traffic and people's attitudes and driving are really bad. Looking for a new escape. Been thinking about Brazil (visited there a few times years ago) or Philippines, or somewhere in Europe. But never been anywhere besides Brazil... Biggest issue of where to go is language, safety and a way to keep an income, legally or on the DL ? lol...

Quebec #1? Ha. Highest taxes, high welfare, poor quality health care, dilapidated roads that literally fall on your heads with pastimes being smoking and eating poutine. And all they ever talk about is leaving Canada. Reason housing is so affordable is because taxes are so high everything else is not affordable. I was born and raised there and as soon as I could, I moved out of there I was so tired of paying taxes and getting nothing for them.

Nice video but I don’t quite agree on what you have said about Manitoba. I can’t speak for Winnipeg because I live in a small town of 10,000 population in Manitoba about 1 hour down south of Winnipeg, full of nature and amazing friendly people. Living quality is hard to beat, plenty of jobs and lower cost of living and unbeatable real estate. We have many hiking and bike trails here. Water sports are very popular in summer. Fishing on rivers and lakes in summers and in winters are just so fun. Falls are the best season in southern Manitoba when trees everywhere turns into different vibrant colours and looks extremely beautiful. Crime and safety issue - most small towns in Manitoba safety or security is not at all a concern. I have been living here for 5 years and never heard of any major crimes except for some bike thefts in summer. Winter is cold but most of the time it’s sunny and bright. Just come and visit Manitoba and you wouldn’t regret a bit!

Boss, i stay in India and life here too is now as complicated as it is in the West, if not more! In today's urban India most of them don't know who their neighbours are/ don't interact with them for years together. Even amongst the neighbours, they keep in touch with each other via mobile phone (predominantly WhatsApp). Children avoid staying with parents and relatives at ALL costs to an extent where they even leave their natives/ immigrate abroad to achieve the objective. Work pressures at the Indian private sector is probably the highest in the world where most employees don't even have time to breathe let alone interact! Btw for those who argue that the Western society is highly depressed and immoral blah blah blah, lemme give you a reality check- India is almost about to become the dubious capital of depression of the world, divorces in Indian society is SO high that it's way too common now to see people who've been divorced/ married second or third time, people fighting marital disputes in courts for years and years and in most cases paying off the girls family hefty and mouth watering out of court settlements to achieve peace of mind......the list is endless......so where does an ordinary 21st century Indian achieve peace of mind and a peaceful life with a quality lifestyle to boot? It's obviously the Americas and Europe (mostly). It may seem ironic to some old timers, but it's the harsh realities of the world today.

I am 85 years old and lived half my working life in Mumbai and another half in Virginia. Please DO NOT get confused with this video. Life in India and particularly in Mumbai has become extremely stressful and tiring with ONLY Negative vibrations. 24/7 is noisy, crowded, filthy, garbage all over the place, most of the neighbors are crook, no playground for children, no place for elders to relax, zero social life because everyone is running after the western lifestyle. To make a story short, there is nothing special in Western countries. The quality of life in Canada has changed for the worst. The country claims Canada needs more immigrants but all the companies have been working on implementing new technologies to replace workers or transfer jobs to cheaper markets. Exception IT jobs.. Some companies suggest we should prepare ourselves to share our job with another worker, this would mean less working days and less pay..

You have covered a very important aspect of American lifestyle here. I can also relate to your description of life in Africa - I was in Tanzania for two weeks on vacation and it was the most memorable period of our life due to the quality of human interaction we had there

Can't live outside the rocky mountains range. Winter is the best, tons of snow, -50 celcius is not a problem(ok, it may be for those who work, but I am retired so I don't care at all).\n\nI really don't like about how you report quality of living thru crime, when in fact, violent crime is about 1%, which is absolutely nothing(1000 crimes/100 000 population), since it includes breaking in, arson and other type of crimes of the same type, not all are rapes or murder, but it does includes them. It also affects a lot of organize crime groups shooting one another and not directed toward innocent victims. There is also a significant part of ''crimes'' which are alcool related which otherwise would not be commited in a sober state.
